Fatima Sana Shaikh On Working With R Madhavan
While speaking with Zoom, Fatima said, 'I'm very excited for Aap Jaisa Koi. It's a very sweet film. Vivek Soni is an incredible director—I think, out of the newer lot of directors, he is very talented. He's got a strong visual voice, and the moment you see his films, you instantly know it's a Vivek Soni film, and that is very special. Also, I love Maddy—he is incredible. He's been the country's crush for years now, and his smile is still the most beautiful smile of any actor, I believe. I really enjoyed working with him."
Meanwhile, earlier, Fatima mentioned that she feels truly blessed to be a part of this film. 'I've been a huge fan of Madhavan, and getting the chance to share the screen with him was such a joy. Playing Madhu was incredibly special. We often associate strength and confidence with masculinity, but Madhu embodies these qualities with such softness and femininity… Through this film, I got to dive into different shades of love, and oddly enough, it felt quite therapeutic," she said.
About Aap Jaisa Koi
R Madhavan plays a 42-year-old man Shrenu Tripathi in Aap Jaisa Koi, while Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen as Madhu Bose, bringing audiences a heartwarming family drama that celebrates connection, companionship, and the beauty of discovering 'Barabari Wala Pyaar' in the most unexpected circumstances.
Set across the distinct worlds of Jamshedpur and Kolkata, the film follows Shrirenu, a man shaped by habit and tradition, as he begins to re-examine long-held beliefs about masculinity, companionship, and emotional expression. In Madhu, a spirited woman who refuses to shrink herself to fit societal moulds, he finds not just a romantic partner, but a mirror to his own conditioning. As the two navigate family expectations, emotional baggage, and the weight of societal conditioning, Aap Jaisa Koi becomes a story not just about romance, but about reclaiming a woman's agency.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment's Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, Aap Jaisa Koi will release on Netflix on July 11.

Joe Burrow's mom exposes his childhood obsession with fashion in new Netflix ‘Quarterback' teaser

Joe Burrow's secret love for fashion revealed by his mother in Netflix's 'Quarterback' season 2 (Getty Images) Joe Burrow's talent on the football field is undeniable — a fierce competitor, unshakable in the pocket, and calm under pressure. But off the field, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback is drawing attention for another reason: his evolving fashion persona. Fans and media can't stop buzzing about his sleek suits, bold choices, and confident presence. And as revealed in a new teaser for Season 2 of Netflix's Quarterback, this stylish side of Burrow isn't a recent development. It's something that's been in the making since his earliest years — and much of the credit goes to his mother, Robin Burrow. Joe Burrow's hidden fashion side finally revealed in Netflix's 'Quarterback'—thanks to his mom In a heartfelt and revealing moment from the series, Robin shares a glimpse into young Joe's early preferences. 'I mean, honestly, I feel like from the time he was kind of little, he was always a little bit particular about his clothes. He liked what he liked for sure,' she said. 'I think it's exciting that he shows his personality in those ways.' This wasn't a case of a child being fussy about outfits — Joe's wardrobe choices were his way of expressing who he was. From colorful shirts to unique combinations, his fashion sense reflected the same confidence that would later define his game. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is it better to shower in the morning or at night? Here's what a microbiologist says CNA Undo He didn't just wear clothes; he wore intention. Quarterback: Season 2 | Joe Burrow | Sneak Peek | Netflix That intentionality was nurtured early, thanks to Robin's professional background. 'My mom was in fashion merchandising when I was little, so she's already played a role in that,' Burrow said. 'She would always get me colorful shirts that I would like to wear.' Her understanding of trends and aesthetics undoubtedly rubbed off on young Joe, offering him both inspiration and support to be himself. The Netflix series not only revisits Burrow's childhood fashion roots but also ties them to the bold persona we now see — whether he's walking into a stadium in designer wear or posing for magazine covers. Still, despite becoming a style figure in the NFL, Burrow has stayed grounded. In a conversation with People, he admitted the fame attached to his appearance was never part of the plan. 'It's been interesting to see how the perception of me has changed over the years. I never really felt that way about myself,' he said. 'And I wouldn't say when I was younger, other people felt that way about me either.' Now a household name with a growing fanbase that admires both his game and his glam, Burrow remains humble. The quarterback might be redefining fashion in football, but his core — shaped by colorful shirts and a supportive mother — hasn't changed. So, I was changing more houses than my age.' He added, 'When I changed school, the one social set I was used to had shifted. I was also making my peace with that... Then I started dancing. ‘Metro... In Dino' Box Office collection day 3: Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi's romantic drama earns Rs 7.25 crore on Sunday

Anurag Basu 's new film 'Metro... In Dino' has hit the big screen with a host of popular stars. The cast includes Sara Ali Khan , Aditya Roy Kapur , Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher , Konkona Sen Sharma , Pankaj Tripathi , Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Released on 4 July, this musical drama looks at love and relationships in today's busy cities. The film's music is by Pritam, who has once again added magic with his songs. 'Metro... In Dino' is a spiritual sequel to Anurag Basu's 2007 film 'Life... In A Metro'. Konkona Sen Sharma is the only actor from the original film to return for this story. This time, the film follows four new couples as they face ups and downs in love. Steady start at the box office As per Sacnilk, 'Metro... In Dino' had a decent first weekend. The film collected Rs 3.5 crore on Friday, its opening day. It saw a big jump on Saturday with earnings of Rs 6 crore, which means a rise of 71.43% from the day before. On Sunday, it made Rs 7.25 crore, bringing its total to Rs 16.75 crore. On Sunday, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 39.75%. Morning shows had about 15.98% audience, afternoons rose to 46.62%, evenings were the highest at 57.14%, and night shows had 39.27%. Box Office Collection Day 1 (Friday): Rs 3.5 crore Day 2 (Saturday): Rs 6 crore Day 3 (Sunday): Rs 7.25 crore Total: Rs 16.75 crore ETimes review for the film reads, "Despite being largely pleasant, some tracks don't quite add up, feel uneven and don't know where to end. After an engaging build up, the second half feels a tad stretched. You also wish the story scratched the surface a little more, especially for Konkona-Neena Gupta track, where the actors have the potential and gravitas to dig deeper. There has been a scarcity of love stories in Bollywood and Metro In Dino, elevated by some fine performances, fills that gap perfectly. It is a breezy, intimate watch tailor-made for a rainy day."
