Frankfort man tased, accused of kicking police after he called for help
Police said the distress call came just before midnight on June 9, when a man called for help before abruptly hanging up. When officers arrived at the home in the 100 block of Pickett Avenue, a woman in the home said Thomas Burton, 36, had been drinking.
In an arrest citation, officers noted this was the second time someone had been called to the home that night.
As they went to leave, Burton reportedly began yelling at the officers, and he was heard three houses down, the citation noted.

Authorities said the woman let them back inside the home, where they attempted to place Burton under arrest for disorderly conduct. During the arrest, officers said Burton became combative and refused to put his hands behind his back.
He then kicked two officers multiple times before being tased, according to Frankfort police.
The police said Burton was transported to an area hospital for medical clearance before being taken to jail. While at the hospital, Burton allegedly yelled and cursed at the police before going limp in the lobby and refusing to go to the emergency room.

He was booked into the Franklin County Regional Jail and charged with:
Two counts of second-degree disorderly conduct
Two counts of third-degree assault of a police officer
Resisting arrest
Jail records show he is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

Arson arrest made in connection to recent Mobile fires

According to a news release, 31-year-old Justin Jones was booked into Metro Jail Sunday morning and charged with 2nd degree arson. Champaign Police Dept. investigating after garage hit by gunfire
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — A garage in Champaign was hit by gunfire several times late last week. Although no injuries were reported, multiple residents, including several minors, were inside the home during the incident. Champaign Police officers responded near the area of N. Market and E. Roper Streets just before 10 p.m. on July 30 after a report that shots had been fired. Search on hold for missing fisherman in Susquehanna River
BRIAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A search is on hold Saturday night along the Susquehanna River after a fisherman disappeared into the water. Rescue crews rushed to the Berwick-Nescopeck Bridge just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Police say a man was fishing when he fell into the river and never resurfaced.
