Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's Dad Ripped On X For Jokingly Offering To 'Breed' Jeff Teague's Wife

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's Dad Ripped On X For Jokingly Offering To 'Breed' Jeff Teague's Wife

The typical NBA Finals hype might not be as high as usual, but at least each team's star players' dads are in the limelight.
Tyrese Haliburton's dad is fresh off a ban for mouthing off at Giannis Antetokounmpo, and now Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's dad, Vaughn Alexander, is letting the competitive nature get the best of him.
Alexander was on a recent episode of former NBA player Jeff Teague's Club 520 podcast, and the episodes are always full of jokes, but Alexander went too far when he cracked one about having sex with Teague's wife.
'Just give me your girl and I'll breed her,' Alexander said. ' Guarantee you, if she has my genes, he'll be a f-cking great player.'
Even Bishop B Henn, who usually has the most controversial takes on the show, nearly spat out his drink. Teague keeps his cool, responding, 'OG, you can't say that, out of respect. My wife gon' be pissed.'
Alexander keeps the joke going, adding that his genes matched with some elite basketball training, and he'll definitely make it into the NBA.
The viral clip ends with him saying he was joking around, but Teague spoke about the off-color comment on Gilbert Arenas' Gil's Arena podcast.
Teague said he didn't snap at Alexander in the moment because he 'had to be professional.'
The topic came up on the Club 520 podcast when Teague mentioned that he has no kids, and one of his co-hosts accused him of shooting blanks. That's when Teague said Alexander responded, 'I'll help him, I make MVPs.'
Teague added that after the joke died down, Alexander said he was sorry, and later called the show's producer to apologize again.
The episode doesn't appear to be available on Club 520 's official YouTube page.
Alexander's basketball career peaked with a championship in high school while studying at Georges Vanier Secondary School in the 1990s. You can also thank the MVP's mom for athletic prowess, too, as she ran the 400m for Antigua and Barbados at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

Sam Presti hilariously admits to old jazz-rap albums: 'It's a little embarrassing'

Rumors of the album's existence have floated on the internet for years. Pablo Torre unearthed it recently after his hands were dirtied with investigative skills that would make Sherlock Holmes blush. Every year, Sam Presti drops some musical references in his bi-annual state of the Oklahoma City Thunder address. He's talked about how his love for playing the drums rivals his love for scouting talent at small schools and nearly-empty gyms. So it shouldn't be shocking to learn the general manager was once a self-made musician. Presti's jazz-rap album "Milk Money" has recently resurfaced online. Torre was able to find a hard copy of the CD. While he didn't play the eight-song album, confirming its existence was enough to hear him address it in his 2024-25 end-of-season press conference. "Yes, I can confirm that," Presti said with a smile. "This was a long, long time ago when I was in college. I certainly didn't expect it to become public, part of the public record. But yeah, we did a couple of those, and it was a great experience for me getting to be around so many people — the second one is the one — if we were going to unearth one, I was like, 'Maybe it'll only be the second one, it won't be the first one.'" It's funny to hear Presti admit there's a second one. From my knowledge, that wasn't public information. Perhaps he admitted that to challenge people to find it. Or perhaps he's already scrubbed it offline and taunted those who were ambitious to attempt to find the second album like they were Indiana Jones. "But you have to be able to laugh at yourself. You have to be able to have fun with it. We were all young at one time," Presti said. "I learned a lot from that experience, especially the second one. The second one was — I learned a lot from the first and then carried that to the second one." That was quite a way to end Presti's press conference. Many looked forward to it as it was the first time he publicly spoke since the Thunder won the NBA championship. Fans entered with the hope of hearing him run a victory lap. Instead, they exited with him begrudgingly addressing his old music career. "But yeah, as long as they don't unearth my break-dancing videos when I was eight then I'm going to consider myself ahead of the game, so I've already called my mom and said, 'You know where those are, right? They cannot see the light of day,'" Presti joked. "You have to laugh at yourself, have fun with it. We were all young. It was part of my life that I had no idea would see the light of day, and it's a little embarrassing, but it's all good. It's all good."

Luka Doncic and Donnie Nelson International Reunion Announced

Luka Doncic and Donnie Nelson International Reunion Announced originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Dallas Mavericks altered the course of their franchise by inexplicably trading 25-year-old superstar Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in February. Advertisement General manager Nico Harrison made the move less than a year after Doncic led the Mavs to their third NBA Finals ever. The Slovenian star, who battled through injury throughout the postseason run, also took part in a Paris Olympics qualifying tournament for his home country Slovenia shortly after the Finals in 2024. Doncic has always taken pride in representing his country on the global stage, having played in European leagues and for his national team for years before making it to the NBA in 2018. Now he has a former Mavericks staffer joining him in those international endeavors. Former Mavericks general manager and director of basketball operations Donnie Nelson has accepted a special advisor role with the Slovenian national team, according to NBA reporter Marc Stein. Advertisement Nelson was an instrumental figure in bringing international stars Dirk Nowitzki and Doncic to Dallas when they were drafted. Stein noted that Nelson also has experience with Lithuania's national team in an assistant coach capacity. The Slovenian federation announced that Nelson will "advise the federation's leadership and the national team staff." The move reunites Nelson with Doncic for the first time since Luka's shocking dismissal from Dallas. The former remains impressed by Luka's ability to lead the Slovenian team, as they have big goals for the upcoming Olympics. 'Becoming a part of Slovenian basketball is a great honor for me," Nelson said. "I look forward to working with Matej Erjavec, Sasa Doncic and everyone at the Basketball Federation of Slovenia." Advertisement 'Watching Luka lead the team to a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, I became excited about the potential,' he added. 'I can't wait to see what the Slovenian national team can achieve in the future. I sincerely hope to be in Los Angeles in 2028. I look forward to being a part of its journey.' The executive responsible for building the Mavericks' 2011 championship roster "mutually agreed to part ways" with the organization in 2021, ending Nelson's 24-year tenure in Dallas. That marked the official end of an era, as Nelson was a second-generation Mavericks icon. His father Don was the team's head coach from 1997-2005. Mavs' Official Summer League Roster and Schedule Announced

Mavs' Official Summer League Roster and Schedule Announced originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Dallas Mavericks are must-see television this summer as prized No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg will make his long-awaited NBA debut in the NBA Summer League beginning July 10 in Las Vegas. Advertisement The 18-year-old phenom from Duke headlines the team as the youngest player on the full roster released last week. Other notable names include the Mavs' two-way undrafted rookies Ryan Nembhard and Miles Kelly, last year's draft pick Melvin Ajinca, and 7-foot-5 behemoth Jamarion Sharp from the G League's Texas Legends. Below is a look at the official summer roster. Saturday, the Mavericks' Summer League schedule became official, with Dallas slated for four interesting matchups in Vegas. First, it's the highly-anticipated debut on July 10 that will be broadcasted live on ESPN at 7 p.m. CT for fans to behold the matchup of Flagg and the Mavs against Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Bronny, the son of NBA great LeBron, was on a two-way contract last season, getting most of his meaningful run as a rookie with the South Bay Lakers G League team. Los Angeles will also feature second-year player Dalton Knect, one of 2024's top prospects who carved a nice role into the rotation for JJ Redick's team last season. Advertisement Dallas' second game will come against the in-state rival San Antonio Spurs on July 12 at 3 p.m., also broadcasted on ESPN. San Antonio drafted behind Dallas in this year's NBA draft, and after the Mavs picked the consensus top choice, the Spurs were happy to settle with crafty Rutgers guard Dylan Harper at No. 2 overall. The Spurs also picked on the edge of the lottery at No. 14, selecting Arizona wing Carter Bryant. Harrison Ingram, a second-year player from North Carolina who grew up in the DFW area and attended Highland Park High School, also fills out the Summer League roster. Game 3 on July 14 at 5:30 p.m. will come against the Charlotte Hornets and be one we expect Flagg to have circled in red at his new home in Dallas. This one, played on NBA TV, will be a reunion for the star rookie as he plays against two former teammates that were drafted by the Hornets in this year's first round: Liam McNeeley from Gonzaga, whom Flagg played his senior prep season with at Montverde Academy, and Kon Knueppel, a sharpshooter and Flagg's college roommate in his one season with the Blue Devils. The Mavs' final Summer League game comes against the Philadelphia 76ers on July 16. The two players to watch for Philly are the No. 3 overall pick in this year's draft VJ Edgecombe from Baylor and the Sixers' second-round pick Johni Broome, a skilled big man from Auburn who was a finalist behind Flagg for this year's college basketball Naismith Player of the Year award. This matchup will once again be broadcasted on ESPN at 7 p.m. CT.
