Mavs' Official Summer League Roster and Schedule Announced
The Dallas Mavericks are must-see television this summer as prized No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg will make his long-awaited NBA debut in the NBA Summer League beginning July 10 in Las Vegas.

The 18-year-old phenom from Duke headlines the team as the youngest player on the full roster released last week. Other notable names include the Mavs' two-way undrafted rookies Ryan Nembhard and Miles Kelly, last year's draft pick Melvin Ajinca, and 7-foot-5 behemoth Jamarion Sharp from the G League's Texas Legends.
Below is a look at the official summer roster.
Saturday, the Mavericks' Summer League schedule became official, with Dallas slated for four interesting matchups in Vegas.
First, it's the highly-anticipated debut on July 10 that will be broadcasted live on ESPN at 7 p.m. CT for fans to behold the matchup of Flagg and the Mavs against Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Bronny, the son of NBA great LeBron, was on a two-way contract last season, getting most of his meaningful run as a rookie with the South Bay Lakers G League team. Los Angeles will also feature second-year player Dalton Knect, one of 2024's top prospects who carved a nice role into the rotation for JJ Redick's team last season.

Dallas' second game will come against the in-state rival San Antonio Spurs on July 12 at 3 p.m., also broadcasted on ESPN. San Antonio drafted behind Dallas in this year's NBA draft, and after the Mavs picked the consensus top choice, the Spurs were happy to settle with crafty Rutgers guard Dylan Harper at No. 2 overall. The Spurs also picked on the edge of the lottery at No. 14, selecting Arizona wing Carter Bryant. Harrison Ingram, a second-year player from North Carolina who grew up in the DFW area and attended Highland Park High School, also fills out the Summer League roster.
Game 3 on July 14 at 5:30 p.m. will come against the Charlotte Hornets and be one we expect Flagg to have circled in red at his new home in Dallas. This one, played on NBA TV, will be a reunion for the star rookie as he plays against two former teammates that were drafted by the Hornets in this year's first round: Liam McNeeley from Gonzaga, whom Flagg played his senior prep season with at Montverde Academy, and Kon Knueppel, a sharpshooter and Flagg's college roommate in his one season with the Blue Devils.
The Mavs' final Summer League game comes against the Philadelphia 76ers on July 16. The two players to watch for Philly are the No. 3 overall pick in this year's draft VJ Edgecombe from Baylor and the Sixers' second-round pick Johni Broome, a skilled big man from Auburn who was a finalist behind Flagg for this year's college basketball Naismith Player of the Year award. This matchup will once again be broadcasted on ESPN at 7 p.m. CT.

Minkah is still only 28, but maybe not quite the same player he was the first time around in Miami. "[The Steelers] get a more versatile player, albeit one who's being paid more, in Jalen Ramsey. They think they can do a lot of different things with him, and a bonus out of that trade is they get a guy in Jonnu Smith, who's coming off a productive season in Miami." While some have criticized the Steelers for exchanging aging DBs, one has to wonder — after hearing Pelissero's insight — if Pittsburgh would have even entertained trading Fitzpatrick unless Smith came along as well. Not everyone is thrilled about Aaron Rodgers heading to Pittsburgh — just ask former Steelers safety Ryan Clark. Former Steelers Alan Faneca and Troy Polamalu make ESPN All Quarter Century Team
Looking back over the last 25 years, the Pittsburgh Steelers have had so many great players, it's hard to narrow down the best. But ESPN undertook the daunting task of doing it for the entire league and put together their All Quarter Century teams for offense and defense. They named one Steeler legend on each side of the football to the team. On offense, Alan Faneca made it as one of two left guards. He shared the distinction with Steven Hutchinson. Here's what they had to say about Faneca.
