Missing mum who vanished at church a month ago presumed dead amid search
Missing mum Reanne Coulson, 34, was last captured on CCTV on May 21 leaving a food bank near St Mary and Benedict Church in Coventry with a third person now having been arrested
A missing mum who vanished at a church last month is presumed dead, according to police. Reanne Coulson, 34, was last seen on CCTV on May 21 leaving a food bank near St Mary and Benedict Church in Coventry.
A specialist search team, including police dogs, was deployed to search Binley Woods and neighbouring areas after "police intelligence" led them to the area. Police confirmed a third man, 38, had been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice on Wednesday. Detectives have until Friday evening to charge or release a 42-year-old man who was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of Reanne's murder.
"I know there are people in the area of Coventry that have information relating to her whereabouts," Detective Superintendent Jim Munro said: "I ask that they come forward and speak to the police, that they look at other channels such as Crimestoppers to provide that information to allow us to locate Reanne, who we sadly now believe is deceased.
"We are continuing to work flat out to find Reanne, and get the answers that her family so desperately need," he added. "I believe people in the Coventry area know what has happened to her. It may be that they are reluctant to come forward with information, but it's vital that they do.
"Reanne is so loved by her family. Please do the right thing and help us find her, for their sake."
Reanne's mum, Lynne Sparks has issued an appeal to anyone who might have any information. She asked: "Is there anybody out there that knows anything about Reanne's disappearance?
"From one parent to another, you can only imagine how I'm feeling. Please come forward to give our family some closure. I just want my baby back."
According to the family, Ms Coulson had been a sex worker and said it was "out of the ordinary" for her to not return home.
"Reanne is not only my sister but my twin sister, a mother, a daughter and an aunt," Ms Coulson's sister Kirsten said during the press conference. "We are worried sick and need your help to find her. She is my other half, my best friend, my everything.
"I am just broken in two. We have a bond like no other. Our family are desperate, and we need your help to find her, no matter what, just bring her home."
Anyone with any information about Reanne or has seen her is being urged to either contact a dedicated website here or call 101 quoting log 6621 of June 18. Information can also be given via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Man appears in court charged with murder of missing Reanne Coulson
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a missing 34-year-old woman. The family of Reanne Coulson, 34, who has not been seen since May, has been told by West Midlands Police (WMP) that officers found a body in Binley Woods on the edge of Coventry on Friday afternoon. Mohammed Durnion, 42, appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court charged with murder on Saturday and was remanded in custody ahead of a preliminary hearing at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday, police said. Adam Moore, 38, from Coventry, who is charged with assisting an offender also appeared at Coventry Magistrates on Saturday. He was ordered to next appear in custody at Warwick Crown Court on July 24. Ms Coulson was last seen in the city in May and concerns were raised by her family after she failed to make contact with them on her birthday on June 17. Formal identification of the body found has yet to take place but police have said they 'do believe it is Reanne'. Detective Superintendent Jim Munro, from WMP's major crime unit, said: 'We've been focussed on doing all we can to find Reanne and our thoughts remain with her family at this deeply distressing time. 'While formal identification still needs to take place we do believe it is Reanne. 'We've charged a man with murder, and another for assisting an offender, but our inquiries to establish exactly what happened and why are ongoing. 'We'll continue to update and support Reanne's family.' Ms Coulson's brother Ashley thanked the public for everything they have done to help try and find her while asking that the family are left alone to grieve.

North Wales Police have clamped down on crime in Bangor over the last four months and say they are now seeing results. It comes after the force launched a plan called Clear Hold Build in March. North Wales Police said data collected since the beginning of March has revealed that reports of knife crime are down by 50 per cent and reported incidents of anti-social behaviour are down by 7.8 per cent. The number of people being charged or given out of court disposals following a crime has increased, including 22.3pc more positive results following a shoplifting incident and nearly 43pc more people being dealt with for carrying a knife. (Image: North Wales Police) Proactive patrols and executed warrants have resulted in over £160,000 worth of class A and B drugs and over £60,000 worth of cash being seized and substantial amount of stolen items recovered. Following its initial success, the force says the team will continue to work with key partners to begin planning the next phase of the project.
