FORMER Manchester United star Ander Herrera has been hit with a four-match ban after clashing with a security guard at the Club World Cup.
Tempers flared just before half-time in Benfica's 2-2 draw with Boca Juniors.

And Boca star Herrera received a red card after trying to remonstrate with referee Cesar Arturo Ramos as he consulted the VAR monitor.
A security guard intervened and held the midfielder back as he shouted at the ref.
Ramos then walked over to Herrera and brandished a red card.
Fifa have now slapped a four match ban on the Mexican, which means he will be banned until the semi-finals, should Boca make it that far.

Injury could also rule out the 35-year-old after he was forced off in the 20th minute.
The Argentinian giants have appealed the ban, and that of his team-mate Jorge Figal who was sent off late on for a reckless tackle in front of a group of Benfica players warming up.
That threatened a brawl with tensions mounting after Benfica striker Andrea Belotti was red carded for a dangerous high boot on the back of Ayrton Costa's head.
Boca have also appealed Figal's ban after he was hit with a four-match suspension.

The club are hopeful of getting the ban reduced as Belotti has only received a two-match ban for his wild challenge.
Ramos originally gave Belotti a yellow card but upgraded it after being called over to review by VAR.

India's Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol said: 'The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has begun a full investigation. It is being probed from all angles, including any possible sabotage.' Although there has previously been speculation of potential sabotage, this is the first time officials have formally acknowledged it as a possible cause of the crash. The pilot of Air India 171, Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, 55, frantically radioed air traffic control moments after take-off on June 12 to yell: 'No thrust… May Day…May Day.' Both engines appeared to have lost power – an incredibly rare occurrence described by experts as a 'one in a billion event'. And the AAIB is now looking into whether it was caused by fuel contamination as a result of a deliberate act. Mr Mohol said: "The CCTV footage is being reviewed and all angles are being assessed... several agencies are working on it. "Once the report comes, we will be able to ascertain if it was an engine problem or fuel supply issue or why both the engines had stopped functioning. 'There is a CVR (cockpit voice recorder) in the black box which has stored the conversation between the two pilots. The plane's black box has been found at the crash site and is now being analysed in India. It includes a Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) which records data such as altitude and speed and the Cockpit Voice Recorder which retains anything the pilots say as well as background noise. Mr Mohol dismissed reports that the black box would be sent abroad for scrutiny. He said: "It will not go anywhere. It is in AAIB's custody and there is no need to send it outside. We will do the entire investigation." He also reassured passengers that air travel in India – particularly on the country's 33 Dreamliners – was safe. He said: 'All 33 Dreamliners have been inspected on the orders of the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation). Everything was found safe. That is why I said it was a rare accident. People are no longer scared and travelling comfortably." The flight reached an altitude of just 625 feet before gliding down and crashing 33 seconds after take-off. It hit the hostel of a medical college where hundreds of students and staff were having lunch. Vishwash Ramesh, of Leicester, was the only person on the plane to survive after crawling out of the mangled fuselage. Tragically his brother Ajay, 35, died on the plane. Married dad-of-one Vishwash later told The Sun his escape was a miracle but revealed he was traumatised that Ajay had died. He said: 'I tried to get two seats together but someone had already got one. Me and Ajay would have been sitting together. 'But I lost his brother in front of my eyes. So now I am constantly thinking 'Why can't I save my brother?' 'It's a miracle I survived. Qatar weighing up bid for 2029 Club World Cup that could be played in winter
Qatar have expressed interest in bidding to host the 2029 Club World Cup in a move that would involve moving the tournament to the winter. The Guardian has learned that Qatari representatives have held talks with Fifa officials at the highest level during the tournament in the United States and indicated a desire to stage the next edition in four years' time. Qatar are understood to have said they could host a carbon-neutral tournament in stark contrast to the current Club World Cup, which has involved teams flying all over the United States with venues in 11 different cities. The nine stadiums constructed for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar remain in place, with six used regularly to stage games in the top-flight Qatar Stars League, and could be all be utilised to minimise staging costs and travel for fans. While the proposed tournament logistics may suit Fifa, the extreme heat in Qatar during the summer would present a major problem, and almost certainly require it to be moved to the winter, as was the case with the 2022 World Cup despite the initial bid being for a summer tournament. High temperatures and extreme weather have also been an issue in the United States this summer, however, with Chelsea's last-16 win over Benfica suspended for two hours due to storms in Charlotte, a decision manager Enzo Maresca condemned as 'a joke.' Players from several clubs have complained about the conditions throughout the tournament, with global players' union Fifpro set to address their welfare concerns in a press conference on Monday. During informal discussions, it is understood that December 2029 has been mentioned as the most likely slot for a Club World Cup in Qatar, although this would be fiercely opposed by the European leagues including the Premier League because of the disruption it would cause to domestic seasons. International lobby group European League is already taking legal against Fifa, along with Fifpro, over an alleged lack of consultation over the Club World Cup and staging the next tournament in Qatar would exacerbate this conflict. While the date has yet to be confirmed there is also a widespread expectation that the 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia will be shifted to the winter. Individual clubs who are likely to compete may take a different view, however, given the financial rewards on offer. Fifa has provided a $1bbn prize fund for the this edition, and with more time to agree commercial partnerships are likely to offer even more riches for the second edition. Manchester City have already won $51.7m (£40m) for reaching the last 16 and will bank a further $74.1m (£54m) if they win the competition. There is $40m (£29.1m) on offer for winning the final alone, with the overall prize fund of $125m (£91m) for winning seven matches only slightly less than Paris Saint-Germain received from Uefa for their victorious 17-match Champions League campaign. Fifa awarded the 2025 Club World Cup to the United States without a bidding process, but are expected to hold a formal contest for the right to stage the 2029 tournament given the levels of interest. Qatar are the fourth country to declare their hand, with Spain and Morocco both having said they want to host the tournament on their own ahead of their joint staging of the 2030 World Cup, which will also see three matches held in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay. In addition, Brazil last week publicly declared their bid for the 2029 Club World Cup following a meeting between the country's football federation (CBF) president Samir Xaud and the Fifa president Gianni Infantino in Miami. Fifa declined to comment.
