LOVE Island's back, baby - and with it comes a brand new crop of Islanders all ready to storm the famous villa and snog their way to everlasting love.
But who are these new faces that promise to occupy our summer viewing schedule and keep us hooked every night?

Well, in a case of mildly disappointing déjà vu, they seem to be the same faces we've seen for the last 10 years and counting.
Yes, it's been a decade now since Love Island debuted on our TV screens - and those 10 years have produced more lookalikes than the permanent exhibition at Madame Tussauds.
Every year we see a merry band of twentysomething singletons rock up in their skimpies, swearing they're so unique in their quest to find the one.
And every year, without fail, they all look just the same as the ones who went before them.
Honestly, how unique can you be when you're primped, buffed and preened to look like a walking, talking Love Island animatron, freshly churned out from the reality TV factory?
The answer is: not very.
When it comes to the girls, it's safe to say they ring a certain bell with their deep spray tans, and long wavy hair.
Case in point, we have Dubliner Megan Forte Clarke, who could easily be a stand-in for fellow Irish lass and former villa dweller Maura Higgins.
The two may not be related, but maybe there's something in the water over on the Emerald Isle.
Then there are the boys, whose pecs are chiselled in the likeness of their predecessors.
Ten Years of Love Island

Is that you, Maura? No, it's Megan Forte Clarke

We first thought Alima Gagio was Yewande from season five
Take Tommy Bradley, whose megawatt smile and perfectly coiffed helmet hair make him an uncanny replacement for former winner Jack Fincham.
Other clones - sorry, contestants - in the mix include Alima Gagio, Dejon Noel-Williams, Helena Ford and Megan Moore, who all bear glaring similarities with bygone Love Islanders.
And it's not just the aesthetics. Already, we have the newbies promising us they're single and ready to mingle.
But as they utter tired lines like 'my type on paper', 'putting all my eggs in one basket' and 'can I pull you for a chat?', it feels - once again - like we're just re-watching previous seasons.
Even Iain Stirling can't hide his ennui.
His voiceovers during the All Stars season in January hinted at a funnyman who knows he's worn out the same jokes about the same contestants ad nauseam.
In the past, of course, the show has been slammed for its lack of diversity when it comes to race, age and body type - something producers have tried to improve upon.
But as the new Islanders were unveiled this week, it was clear that producers hadn't tried hard enough.
So, the question is why?
There's an old adage: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And when it comes to the show's casting process, that seems to be ITV's MO.
But the trouble is, it is broke.
Earlier this year the show garnered 1.2m viewers for its grand final, which pales in comparison to the 3.4m people who tuned in to watch the show's final in 2019.
Meanwhile rival reality show The Traitors, which actually casts normal-looking people with genuinely interesting backstories, pulled in more than seven million people for its explosive finale back in January.
Clearly we're all getting a little tired of Love Island's same old song and dance routine - and the same roster of challenges, from Snog, Marry, Pie to the heart rate challenge.
And ITV don't seem to be paying any attention.
They're evidently looking for the daters who are 100 per cent their type on paper - even if they're copying and pasting, year by year.
Will we still be watching? Yes, absolutely. But don't blame us if we still confuse the new Islanders for their bygone love-a-likes.
The differences are subtle. Even Iain Stirling would struggle to tell them apart.

She'll be following in the footsteps of her villa lookalike, Maura
New recruit Megan, 24, may have played the ugly stepsister in a panto production of Cinderella, but she's gunning for her own happy ever after in the villa.
And judging by her striking looks, she won't be getting any boos and hisses inside.
Followers have already compared her to Maura, 34, whose own modelling career skyrocketed after appearing in Love Island season five.
Whether she meets the one or not, odds are that Megan's set for a similar trajectory (Oh no she isn't! Oh yes she is!)
Dejon Noel-Williams and Omar Nyame

His lookalike, Omar, was also in the fitness biz as a PE teacher

Personal trainer, Dejon, 26, must be used to having clients begging to look just like him.
But the former footballer isn't the first to rock a hot bod and braided hair.
That mantle was taken last year - and again, in this year's All Stars villa - by former PE teacher Omar, 26.
The pair could be twins; but what we want to know is, who would beat the other in a cardio challenge?
Ben Holbrough and Adam Collard

His doppelganger, Adam, is also partial to a pose or two

When he's not modelling, Ben likes going to the gym… just like Adam, who - when he's not modelling - likes going to the gym.
But while Ben is hardly vertically challenged at 6ft 2ins, it seems he'll still be looking up to his season four doppelganger, who stands tall at 6ft 5ins.
Other than that, they're indistinguishable. We assume, given that we can't crane our necks that high to see.
Alima Gagio and Yewande Biala

Alima has brains and beauty

Just like her double, Yewande

Hailing from Glasgow, Alima, 23, says she's a good flirt.
Here's hoping she has more luck in the villa than her doppelganger Yewande, 29, who was booted out of the villa after her partner Danny recoupled with Arabella.
Meanwhile, it's not just beauty that these two have in common - they have the brains to match.
While Yewande is a scientist, with a masters in pharmaceutical quality assurance and regulation, Alima is a client services executive in wealth management.
Whether she cashes in once in the villa remains to be seen.
Helena Ford and Arabella Chi

Helena loves travelling and posting pictures from sunkissed locations

Arabella is a dead ringer - both in looks and in tropical locations

One of them is a smouldering blonde with fierce eyebrows and a jetset lifestyle… the other is a smouldering blonde with fierce eyebrows and a jetset lifestyle.
But while Arabella, 34, who's had two unsuccessful stints in the villa, has recently welcomed her first baby, newbie Helena is on a very different path.
Heading into the villa, the cabin crew member is looking for an excuse to finally settle down.
And if she doesn't triumph this time round, she can always become an All Star like her Love Island lookalike.
Tommy Bradley and Jack Fincham

Making him a worthy successor to the OG cheeky chappy, Jack

We had to do a double-take when we first saw Tommy, who - with his porcelain gnashers and helmet hair is the double of season five winner Jack, 34.
Just like Jack, Tommy's been dubbed the 'cheeky chappy' of this year's villa - and, in another case of history repeating itself, he's also a keen boxer.
However, unlike Jack, he's entering the villa absolutely ripped following a serious body overhaul. Very cheeky.
Megan Moore and Shaughna Phillips

Hopefully she'll have better luck than Shaughna did in 2020

Seasoned traveller Megan is often posting photos from sun-drenched locations - so she'll be in familiar surroundings in Spain.
But will she have the same rollercoaster journey as Shaughna, 31, who quickly coupled up with Callum in season six, before being jilted after he went to Casa Amor?
Still Shaughna clawed back her pride, uttering the iconic line, 'Congrats, hun.'
If Megan tops that…well, congrats, hun.
Lucy Quinn and Samantha Kenny

But will she have better luck than Samantha did last year?
Credit: Instagram/@samanthakenny__
If you squint hard enough, these two are tough to tell apart. At least, they would be after two of those allocated Love Island vinos they get every night.
New recruit Lucy, 20, is believed to be going in as a bombshell and has told insiders she's single and ready to mingle.
Let's hope she has better luck than Samantha, who hooked up with Joey Essex, before he dumped her for Grace.
Still both girls are make-up artists, so they're primed to paint smiles on their faces, whatever the outcome.

Gen Z rank Love Island top cultural moment for summer 2025

Move over strawberries and cream – it's tan lines, bombshell entrances and 'can I pull you for a chat?' that define the British summer according to Gen Z. A new survey has found that Love Island is officially the UK's biggest summer cultural event for Brits aged 18-28, ranking higher in national buzz and recognition than Wimbledon (44%), Glastonbury (37%), and even the hotly anticipated Oasis reunion tour (23%). The annual reality show also ranked higher than the Women's Euros (33%), where the Lionesses dramatically defended their title on penalties in Switzerland in front of a gripped 15m-plus audience back home. The British Grand Prix at Silverstone (25%), Royal Ascot (18%), BBC Proms (16%), Edinburgh Fringe (12%) and Chelsea Flower Show (11%) make up the rest of the list. Gen Z's Top 10 British cultural moments of summer 2025 Love Island, 44% Wimbledon, 43% Glastonbury Festival, 37% Women's Euros, 33% British Grand Prix at Silverstone, 25% Oasis reunion tour, 23% Royal Ascot, 18% The BBC Proms, 16% Edinburgh Fringe, 12% Chelsea Flower Show, 11% Love Island – known for its sun-soaked villa antics, fiery recouplings and meme-worthy moments – has cemented its place in the national psyche as the event of the summer season. And not content with dominating screens, the guilty pleasure turned cultural juggernaut has also broken into the realm of cultural artefacts. The show's iconic personalised water bottle – seen in the hands of Islanders during every heated conversation and poolside flirtation – was named one of the top 10 symbols of modern British culture. In a list that included both serious and tongue-in-cheek contenders, the Love Island bottle rubs shoulders with the likes of the Greggs sausage roll, a Freddo, Colin the Caterpillar, and even the almighty Wetherspoons toilets. A testament to the show's impact, the Love Island water bottle (24%) is considered more of a 'British cultural artefact' by Gen Z than classics such as the Blue Peter badge (23%) and even Doctor Who's Tardis (19%). Both a hydration hero and certified cultural icon, the popular piece of Love Island merchandise has long since transcended the villa to become a must-have summer accessory. Spotted in the hands of Kimberly Wyatt at Wembley Stadium yesterday for the Oasis concert, the ex-Pussycat Doll and radio presenter arrived in style with the new Love Island bottle in tow – personalised with her name and newly released accessories. Taking its place in this season's cultural hall of fame alongside the likes of Oasis, Glasto, and Wimbledon, Love Island's enduring popularity has made it one of the most talked-about moments of the summer – with a quarter of the nation (25%) planning on tuning into the final next week.

Jenna Ortega says filming Wednesday Season Two in Ireland was 'wonderful'

Jenna Ortega has praised the kindness of the Irish people and the beauty of the landscape after filming the second season of the Netflix hit Wednesday in the country. The 22-year-old American actress, who reprises her role as Wednesday Addams, the morbid, sharp-witted teenager with psychic powers, said she had never visited the island before working on the new season. The new season sees Wednesday return to the halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. Directed once again by Tim Burton, the latest instalment of the gothic hit welcomes a number of new cast members to the team including Dame Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, the new principal of Nevermore, and Billie Piper as Isadora Capri, the school's new head of music. While the first season was filmed in Romania, the latest instalment of the popular series was shot in various locations around Wicklow, Dublin and Offaly. 'I'd never been to Ireland and it was wonderful,' said Ortega. 'My favourite thing was just how kind the people are, but also the countryside was really nice. I did my best to see as much of the island as I could while I was there. I went north, south, east, west, I went all over. I'm pretty proud of myself.' According to Tourism Ireland, some of the locations used to shoot the new series include Charleville Castle in Co Offaly, Dean's Grange Cemetery in Co Dublin and Ashford Studios in Co Wicklow. Lumley, 79, said: 'I was pretty thrilled, because having filmed there a few times, in Ardmore studios, I didn't know there was a studio even further south of that, and then to come to Ashford Studios was marvellous. 'There's something in Ireland which is slightly otherworldly and it embraced the whole feeling of Wednesday.' Buscemi, 67, famous for his roles in Reservoir Dogs and The Sopranos, said he enjoyed the Guinness. 'I was surprised at how much Guinness I could actually drink every day, never while shooting,' he joked. 'It was so lovely shooting there. The people are amazing.' Ortega added: 'Everything about Ireland was so beautiful and we had such a hard-working crew, and people who really just gave it their all, and were so skilled. 'But the only real challenge we had was fighting the green. It was so green there and it was so bright for the show. Suddenly the Addams looked alive.' Wednesday season two, which sees Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones continuing to play Morticia Addams, comes out on Netflix on August 6 with a first part and a second part coming on September 3. Created by cartoonist Charles Addams, the macabre family have inspired a 1960s TV show, and 1990s films starring Anjelica Huston and Christina Ricci, who also appeared in Wednesday season one as a teacher. Linda Robson's Loose Women fears amid brutal cuts at ITV - 'I'm praying'

The show favourite opened up about the future of the panel show and what it means for her Linda Robson says she's 'worried' about the future of Loose Women as ITV look to make huge savings across its daytime shows. In May it was revealed the much-loved panel show would be axed for half the year as bosses eyed up massive cuts in a bid to save millions. ‌ Birds Of A Feather star Linda, who's appeared on the show for 20 years, says the threat to its future has left her 'praying' it doesn't get cancelled. 'We are all rallying together,' she said. It's been reported that when budget cuts come into effect in January it'll mean the show will no longer have A-list guests in the studio and their live audience will be a thing of the past. ‌ ‌ There are growing fears the ITV staple could even be cancelled within a year. 'It will be very sad if we can't have guests,' sighed Linda, 67. ITV is slashing the budgets of its biggest daytime shows including Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, Loose Women and This Morning, including halving the number of jobs and significantly reducing the time some of them are on air. The cuts at ITV Studios, which makes all four shows, mean more than 220 of 440 staff involved will lose their jobs. 'It's a shame people are losing their jobs,' Linda went on. 'We're all like a family. We've been together through births, marriages, deaths. It's been very hard. Everyone's worried about the show. We're just trying to stay positive and hope for the best. But hopefully it's not going be as bad as it already is.' The show features a rotating panel of presenters who debate hot topics, big issues and the news of the day. It's welcomed huge names on as guests like supermodel Naomi Campbell and singer Janet Jackson. Running since 1999, it is filmed in front of a live studio audience - although recent reports suggest that this has now been cut and will be implemented next year. ITV haven't confirmed the move. ‌ Fellow Loose Women presenter Nadia Sawalha previously told how everyone was now fearing for their jobs. 'What people don't realise at Loose Women is that we're self-employed,' she explained. 'I am self-employed. Every contract is a new contract. I could be let go tomorrow. I could be let go in five years. You don't know because we're not employees.' Looking back at her time on the long-running show - famous for debating debate hot topics, big issues and the news of the day - Linda explained why she's been perfect for the panel. 'I've got a loose mouth,' she laughed on the red carpet of the National Reality TV Awards in London. 'I'm always getting told not to swear in my ear. They try and stop me from doing it. I'm under Baggy Mouth in the group chat.'
