Akshay Kumar
is known for his movies but he's also one of the richest actors and has been the highest tax payer as well, several times. The actor also has many ways to invest his money and real-estate is one of them.
He's recently sold two of his plush apartments in Mumbai's Borivali and made an incredible 91% profit in the process.
According to a report by Square Yards, Akshay sold two adjoining flats located in a ready-to-move-in residential project by Oberoi Realty. The complex spans around 25 acres and offers 3BHKs, 3BHK+studios, and duplexes.
The 'Khiladi' actor had purchased these apartments back in 2017. One of them, measuring 1,101 sq.
ft. with two parking spaces, was bought for ₹3.02 crore and has now been sold for ₹5.75 crore. For this sale, the stamp duty alone cost him ₹34.50 lakh and registration charges were ₹30,000.
The second apartment, much smaller at 252 sq. ft. of carpet area, was initially bought for ₹67.90 lakh. It was sold for ₹1.35 crore, with a stamp duty of ₹6.75 lakh and the same ₹30,000 in registration charges.
All in all, Akshay made a tidy ₹7.10 crore from the sale of both properties, earning him nearly double his investment in just 8 years.

On work front, Akshay is keeping just as busy. He'll soon be seen in 'Bhooth Bangla', directed by Priyadarshan and co-starring Wamiqa Gabbi and Paresh Rawal. Fans also have something big to look forward to with 'Hera Pheri 3', which is finally happening after a long delay. Akshay has confirmed recently that things are back on track now and the film is happening.
Fans are breathing a sigh of relief as things are sorted between Paresh Rawal and the whole team and he's back to his iconic character Baburao. Apart from this, Akshay has 'Jolly LLB 3' lined up. He will be reuniting with Saif Ali Khan for Haiwaan, that brings the duo back together 17 years after 'Tashan'.

Subhash Ghai applauds 'Saiyaara' and 'Mahavatar Narsimha'; Says "A myth in the minds—that Gen Z no longer cries at love stories or respects animated mythology—has been proven wrong"

Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai has joined the growing chorus of voices celebrating the massive success of 'Saiyaara' and 'Mahavatar Narsimha'. Taking to Instagram, Subhash Ghai shared his thoughts on how both films shattered long-held industry beliefs. 'A myth in the minds of the Indian cinema business sector—that Gen Z no longer cries at love stories or respects animated mythology—has been proven wrong,' he wrote. Subhash Ghai praised the films for delivering not just numbers, but emotions, spirituality, and connection. 'Cinema is not economics—it's an art,' he reminded followers. His post completely read, "So a myth in mind of indian cinema business sector that 1. That genzee no more cry in love stories -that too with new actors ? 2. Audience no more take out their shoes at exit gate of theatres in mythology movie - that too in animation movie ? That proved wrong 🦸‍♂️ Saiyaara n Mahaveer narsimha have shown us again well told stories break records even in 2025 n onwards Let's rethink that it is no one wonder. We are still epical people ❤️ cinema is not economics- it's an ART 🎥." Two films, one message: Story matters 'Saiyaara', directed by Mohit Suri and starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda , has touched a nerve with viewers through its emotional storytelling and fresh performances. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Learn More - How Donating Sperm May Boost Your Income SpellRock Undo Its slow and steady rise to the Rs 300 crore club has turned it into the year's biggest romantic surprise. On the other end, 'Mahavatar Narsimha', an animated mythological film, opened with modest numbers but exploded in popularity due to strong word-of-mouth and its devotional theme. With a total box office nearing Rs 100 crore in under two weeks, it's clear that audience tastes aren't as predictable as once thought. Both films are reminders that fresh content, strong narratives, and honest execution can win hearts and break records. As Subhash Ghai rightly put it, 'We are still epic people,' and it looks like the audience hasn't forgotten the power of a good story. Weekends Roar, Weekdays Hold Steady As reported by the Sacnilk website, 'Mahavatar Narsimha' saw remarkable weekend growth. While its first Friday opened at Rs 1.75 crore, the film more than doubled that by its second Saturday (Rs 15.4 crore), followed by a massive Rs 23.4 crore Sunday. Meanwhile, 'Saiyaara' continues to climb steadily, proving that well-written love stories still have a place in theatres, even without big stars. Both the films are expected to rake in more numbers in the coming days. Saiyaara - Official Teaser
