BRS to fight for the rights of employees
A strategy meeting, held at the residence of former minister T Harish Rao and led by BRS working president K T Rama Rao, brought together former leaders of employees' associations, retired officials, and representatives of various teachers' and employees' unions.
During the meeting, Rama Rao and Harish Rao held discussions with former union leaders and ministers, including MLCs Srinivas Goud, Swamy Goud, Deviprasad, and others. The agenda focused on key issues such as pending Dearness Allowances (DAs), implementation of Pay Revision Commission (PRC) recommendations, release of retirement benefits, and other employee concerns.
Expressing deep concern over the state government's inaction, Rama Rao and Harish Rao stated, 'It is our duty as the principal opposition to stand by government employees. We will not remain silent while lakhs of employees suffer due to a negligent government.'
The BRS leadership emphasised the need to formulate a clear action plan in the coming days. The party also extended its support to active employees' union leaders and encouraged former union heads — particularly those who played a significant role in the Telangana statehood movement — to participate in this renewed effort.
'BRS has always upheld the rights and aspirations of government employees. We are committed to working alongside them and applying pressure on the government to ensure justice,' the leaders affirmed.
The party is expected to unveil a detailed action strategy soon and rally support from employees' associations across the state.

"If our leader of opposition is providing fuel to our enemy country, thereby causing harm to our national interest, how do we take it? Internally, we may have all kinds of disagreement, because that is the nature of democracy ... but outside you are broadcasting the narrative of the other country. This is something that is unacceptable to us," he said. "I wish our Leader of Opposition is more mature, more understanding, more intellectual, because we need a leader of opposition at least to match our leader. Our prime minister, all the senior ministers, are very serious about parliamentary business," Rijiju said. He said the government was open to debate and discussion but the opposition only wanted to stall parliamentary proceedings, which was not a healthy sign in a democracy. "Parliament constitutes all the MPs. We are in the government. We have more members of Parliament. But, some of the opposition MPs say that only they should speak. They want to hijack Parliament. That will not happen," Rijiju said. "What is a democracy? Democracy is giving space to everybody. In Parliament, it is very proportionate. Every MP represents certain areas, some states and some constituencies. So, if they think that the opposition should occupy all the space, that will not happen," he said. Rijiju said Indian democracy is very vibrant and was in favour of the same spirit reflected in Parliament. "Many people may say that the Indian Parliament is very noisy, very messy, but I welcome it. Being a very vibrant democracy, there should be some fireworks, there should be some, you know, heated debates and discussions. It's okay," the minister said.

PM Modi launches ‘naya Bihar' slogan, accuses RJD of betraying poor
Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday accused the RJD of seizing land from the poor on the false promise of jobs, in an apparent reference to the land-for-jobs scam and asserted that a 'viksit' (developed) Bihar is key to development of eastern India. Introducing a new campaign slogan, "Banayenge naya Bihar, phir ek baar NDA sarkar" (We will build a new Bihar, once again an NDA govt), Modi emphasised that state's development is crucial for eastern India's progress. The Prime Minister highlighted the stark contrast in central support between previous and current administrations. "During the 10 years of the previous govts when they (Congress) were in power at the Centre, Bihar received only around Rs 2 lakh crore," he said, suggesting this was political retaliation against Nitish Kumar's govt. I will also get in touch with some of the single-MP parties because I do not want to leave out any member. So it becomes a unified stand of the Parliament of India," Rijiju said in an exclusive video interview with minister asserted that it is not the government but members of Parliament cutting across party lines, including from the Congress, who are in favour of moving a motion to remove Justice Varma "Corruption in the judiciary is an extremely sensitive and serious matter, because the judiciary is where people get justice. We are working purely in the interest of the country," he said Sibal does not realise that many MPs have gone far beyond him in terms of understanding, intellectual capability and the knowledge of law."He is a very average lawyer.... He cannot guide the Parliament of India. The Parliament of India will be guided by all the members of Parliament," he said.
