Beloved country singer Felipe, 24, dies in horrific but avoidable pick-up truck death
The promising artist had been hospitalized since Sunday when he fell off the back of a pickup truck in Araguaína, a city in the central state of Tocantins.
Felipe, whose real name was Felipe Alves, was in serious condition and being treated for cerebral edema at Araguaína Regional Hospital, according to his manager Diego Rony.
Brazilian newspaper Metropoles reported that Felipe fell headfirst from the speeding pickup truck.
Felipe joined his childhood friend Raphael Sousa in 2024 to form the group Felipe & Raphael.
A shocked Felipe paid tribute to his best friend with a heartbreaking post on his Instagram Stories that featured a picture of the duo smiling.
'I will always remember you like this, smiling, singing, motivating, and caring for everyone around you,' Felipe's caption read.
'Thank you for believing in my dream and including me in yours! I will always honor your name and always make a point of telling who Felipe really was, MY FELIPAO.
'Hug, talk, declare yourself, don't be afraid to live, life is short, a shot, fear and excuses will make you not value incredible people, everything passes very quickly in this world.'
The country music duo was planning their first project, an EP titled 'Extended Play,' later this year.
Rony lamented that he will not be able to hear Felipe's morning greetings any more.
'Felipe is no longer with us physically, and this pain is difficult to put into words,' the band manager wrote on his social media Tuesday. 'But what remains, forever, is what he left on our stages, backstage, in rehearsals, in conversations, and in our dreams.
'Our group will no longer have his "good mornings" or his messages, always full of life. But spiritually, he will remain with us - accompanying every step of our journey. Our family, our band, our work... our history.
'The duo Felipe & Raphael was born with a purpose and a flame that he helped to ignite. And this flame, now, will be kept alive by all of us.'
Brazilian country music singer Felipe, one-half of the duo Felipe & Raphael, was sitting on the flatbed of a pickup truck when it sped away and caused him to fall headfirst into the road pavement in Araguaína, a city in the central state of Tocantins, on Sunday. Felipe was rushed to Araguaína Regional Hospital, where he was treated for a brain injury and died Monday
Fellow country music singer Matheus Oliveira was stunned by the news of Felipe's death.
'You were AN INCREDIBLE LOVE! Thank you for all our moments, thank you for all the advice, thank you for all your help in difficult situations, thank you for the friendship, for the laughs, thank you FOR EVERYTHING,' Oliveira wrote.
Country music artist Yuri Geovanny wrote: 'Our last meeting was two weeks ago, and he told me how happy he was to be working on what he truly loved. Rest in the peace of Christ, my friend!'
'You were a light on this earth, my friend!' Felipe's friend, Dr. Fernanda Vitória added.
'Those who knew you know that you were a human being that everyone loved to be around. May God welcome you with open arms, prince!

I died but came back to deliver the secret truth about life on earth – here's what heaven really looks like
BLINKING her eyes open, Nicole Meeuws was surrounded by looks of relief. Officially pronounced dead for two minutes, her loved ones were terrified that they'd never see Nicole again. 7 However, she admits that she no longer fears death after experiencing what she believes was the afterlife. Nicole claims she was greeted by blue-skinned beings, similar to Avatar, after passing over to 'the other side' who revealed life is actually an illusion. Nicole recalls being 'pulled' from her body and entering a tunnel of light. She recalls no time, fear, or existing. However, she says her "physical form" was left lying lifeless on a hospital bed after she suffered complications while she was going through baby loss. The 49-year-old, who was officially pronounced dead for two minutes, says she was then greeted by 'blue-skinned' beings with human faces. While she didn't understand their language, they made her feel at home and gave her the message telepathically that life is actually an illusion – and we only start living when we die. The artist told The Sun: 'I felt more known than I had ever felt in my life; I didn't want to leave. 'I understood this place, this feeling, and I truly believe it was the original home which we all came from. 'I learned that death is not an end, it's a return to our actual lives.' Nicole was in hospital after sadly losing her baby and was rushed in for emergency surgery. First ever recording of the moment someone dies reveals what our last thoughts might be After complications, though, she started to fall in and out of consciousness, before everything shifted. She recalls: 'I found myself passing through a tunnel of blue and white light, not a beam, but a corridor that felt alive. 'It didn't feel frightening; it felt like I was being called home. 'The light had a temperature, a tone, almost like music made of water. 'As I emerged, I entered an immense glowing space. 'The colours were not of this world, they were luminous tones of sliver, soft violets, deep radiant blues – and they didn't strain the eyes. 'The chamber was vast, larger than any earthly structure, and everything pulsed gently like a heartbeat. 'And then I saw them. 7 7 7 'Two towering beings seated on marble-like thrones, shimmering with energy. 'Their eyes were large and indigo, filled with kindness and recognition. 'They looked human, but had gentle gills on their cheeks. 'I remember seeing their fish-like tails, rather than legs, covered in scales. 'They were both male and female intertwined and didn't speak in words – but I understood everything they had to tell me.' Nicole, from Greece, says they told her that she was never meant to have children and that her gift, instead, was to teach people about 'the other side'. After what she says felt like a lifetime, but was only a few minutes, she was 'zapped' back into her physical body. Her husband, Christos, 65, a specialised doctor, tried to speak to her, but she could only reply in a high-pitched tone and an 'unfamiliar' language that she had never learned. She explains: 'It sounded like dolphin clicks. 'It continued for minutes, which left everyone around us stunned. 'But I couldn't stop it – it was coming through me, not from me. 'My senses were heightened and I could hear emotion in people's voices as colour. 'I returned completely different; almost reborn.' Nicole, who hasn't had any near-death experiences since, says she often has visions of the blue beings who greeted her on the other side. She believes they are from the Apkallu interdimensional tribe which are non-alien creatures – otherwise referred to as Demigods – that are said to have given civilisation to mankind. Her mission? To spread the message that 'love is stronger than death'. She added: 'Love will always win; it's where we came from. 'We're all one big family, regardless of boundaries, cultures, religion and politics. 'Everything that exists came from the same spark. 'The more we hold onto fear, hate and lies, the easier it is to control humanity. 'To create heaven on Earth, we must spend each day spreading love. 'I'm no longer afraid of death because I know what's waiting for me on the other side. 'It was a beginning, not an end.' 7 LIFE AFTER DEATH A WOMAN claims to have gone to heaven and met God as she slipped in a coma following a horrifying near-death experience. Mariandree Cárdenas was working from home one day when she felt her throat start to close up and began choking. Her hands began twitching and she felt like her face was "falling asleep". Mariandree realised she could no longer speak. She managed to text her mother and brother for help, who rushed over and found her unconscious. The 24-year-old - who was diagnosed with severe asthma as a child - was taken to hospital, where doctors were forced to intubate her and later place her in a coma. As her body lay unconscious in her hospital bed, Mariandree claimed her mind was far from quiet. "I couldn't hear almost anything anymore and my body no longer responded," Mariandree, a graphic designer, told What's The Jam. "The last thing I heard was a nurse or doctor say the phrase 'she left us'. "And in the blink of an eye I stopped being on Earth and appeared somewhere else."

Radio host forced to leave studio live on air after receiving tragic news
A popular radio host has been forced to leave her morning radio show on Wednesday after receiving 'tragic news'. Jade Robran, who hosts FIVEAA's Winter Breakfast show with Tom Rehn, was presenting her program before abruptly leaving the studio just before 7am. Tom then addressed her shock departure, informing listeners there had been a death in her family. 'Jade unfortunately has had to go home, there has been some unexpected and very tragic news, there's been a death in her family so we wish Jade all the very best,' he said. 'Hope you're okay, Jade, if you're driving home listening right now. Jade, we love you. We hope you're okay with the rest of the family. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Hopefully she'll be back tomorrow. That's very, very sad news.' Tom continued presenting the show on his own until 9am. It comes after a Melbourne radio star surprised fans by announcing his shock departure. Jack Post, 37, who has made a name for himself on The Christian O'Connell Show on Gold FM, quit the program on in May in an emotional Instagram post. Jack shared a slew of snaps from his time on the show, including one of him playing a guitar in the studio with Christian O'Connell and another with his wife Bianca and son Gordon. Telling fans that it was one of the 'hardest decisions' he had ever had to make, the radio host revealed the reason why he was calling his time on the popular breakfast program. 'I love this show deeply, and it has given me so much. But there is something in my gut telling me it's time to close this chapter and write the next one,' he wrote in the caption. 'When I left radio with Hamish & Andy in 2017, I honestly didn't know what was next for me then — but I had an excitement and giddiness for the thrill of what it could be. He added: 'I'm so happy it turned out to be The Christian O'Connell Show. 'It's time to step away again, make space, and see what's next,' he shared. Jack said that he was grateful for the listeners who tuned in for the morning show over the years. 'Thank you to each and every listener who chooses this as their breakfast show. 'I love talking to you in the mornings, I love meeting you on the street — don't stop saying hello,' he wrote. The radio star then went on to thank his colleagues at the station, particularly Christian, who he said had been on of the 'most profound relationships of my life'.
