POOL COOL: Veteran men's fashion editor Robert Rabensteiner has found himself on the other side of the camera, modeling a capsule collection Swedish brand CDLP has done with Passalacqua, a luxury hotel on Italy's Lake Como.
Christian Larson, CDLP's cofounder and creative director, shot the campaign on location at the five-star property, showing Rabensteiner playing tennis, cooling his feet in the pool, and grabbing an aperitivo at the red marble bar.

The collection includes pool shirts, shorts, swimwear, T-shirts and a hand-illustrated silk scarf that's produced at a factory only 20 minutes from Lake Como. It's all on sale at the Passalacqua hotel, on its online boutique and on Cdlp.com.
CDLP is no stranger to hospitality, having already logged collaborations with Cuixmala, Hotel Grand Tremezzo, and Stockholm's Grand Hôtel.
Best known for his long tenure at L'Uomo Vogue, Rabensteiner is prized for his sharp taste, personal elegance and quiet advocacy of conscious fashion.
CDLP was founded in 2016 by Larson, a film director and photographer, and entrepreneur Andreas Palm. It initially specialized in men's underwear, T-shirts, socks, as well as items to wear by the pool, at home and for sports, and has since expanded into women's essentials, too.
The brand name is an abbreviation of the phrase 'un cadeau de la providence,' which translates as 'a gift from providence.'

Top 10 Horror Movie Locations That Would Make the Ideal Summer Getaway

Long days, short nights and hot temperatures that are so brutal they start to feel like a horror movie. Summer has officially kicked off which means the heat waves are only gonna get more and more frequent. A lot of people relax by the pool, park themselves near the closest AC unit, or if you're anything like me — go inside and turn the fan on high while binge-watching horror movies to keep away from the unbearable heat. With a large number of highly anticipated horror movies releasing this summer, like the sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer (July 18) and Weapons (August 8). It got me thinking: What horror movie locations would actually make great summer vacation spots? So, here's a list of chillingly beautiful getaways that might help you escape the heat…and a masked villain or two! 1. Midsommar (2019) - A hauntingly beautiful horror film that has, dare I say, the best spot for a summer vacation. Endless daylight, flower crowns, and the lush fields of the Swedish countryside that Florence Pugh frolicked in would make for a great spot to hang with friends during the summer, right? What could possibly go wrong… 2. Friday the 13th (1980) - The movie is set during a summer camp, so it had to make its way onto this list. Camp Crystal Lake is the perfect summer spot. It's got a lake, a couple of cabins and a whole lot of greenery that makes it a great place to cool off and have fun for the summer… unless you're a camp counselor of course, then maybe not so much. 3. A Quiet Place (2018) - The best horror blockbuster of the last decade and has a great setting too. Set in the peaceful countryside of upstate New York, so not the most traditional summer getaway but still makes for a relaxing retreat. 4. Jaws (1975) - A horror classic that doubles as a beach day cautionary tale. Although, Amity Island is fictional, it gives off real New England summer town vibes that is ideal for a needed vacay. Whether you're into beach fashion or just want to tan by the water (without getting eaten), this one's for you. 5. Cuckoo (2024) - A horror film that flew way too under the radar. Cuckoo is set in the German Alps, surrounded by crystal-clear lakes and breathtaking mountain views. It's eerie, yes - but also stunning. If you're looking for an offbeat, scenic escape with just a touch of dread, this is your spot. 6. I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) - With another addition to the franchise coming soon, now's the perfect time to revisit this iconic slasher - and its setting, Southport, North Carolina. With its small-town charm, fishing docks, and coastal vibes, it seems like a relaxing place for a summer escape. 7. Turistas (2006) - Three friends backpacking through Brazil sounds like an ideal summer it isn't. But even with all the terror, the film's tropical beaches and vibrant nightlife make it seem like a fun and exciting getaway (just maybe skip the torment). 8. Eden Lake (2008) - A widely under seen British horror movie that had one of the most jaw dropping endings I'd ever seen but also features a beautiful lake surrounded by forest. It may be terrifying, but the setting is oddly serene. 9. The Shining (1980) - A horror classic that is undeniably spooky but also has amazing views. The Overlook Hotel offers unmatched views of the Colorado Rockies. Imagine the wildlife spotting, cozy cabin vibes, and long walks through the vast forests… just maybe avoid Room 237. 10. Triangle (2009) - Who wouldn't want to be trapped on a forever cruise? Sounds fun - even though it obviously wasn't in this horror movie. But excluding the horror and time loops, the open sea and luxurious boat setting would make for a dream summer trip.

Brazilian Fashion Brand Cris Barros Targets International Growth With New E-commerce Platform

Brazilian designer Cris Barros is taking her namesake label into a new era, launching a dedicated international e-commerce platform for the Americas and Europe as the brand marks 23 years in the fashion industry. The move follows growing demand from global clients and signals a strategic step toward international expansion. 'After more than two decades building a solid and authentic path in Brazil, I felt the brand had reached a creative, operational and strategic maturity that allows us to look outward with clarity, consistency and intention,' Barros told WWD. She described the brand's evolution as rooted in 'authorial and often artisanal work, timeless design, sustainability and an aesthetic inspired by the art world.' More from WWD Group Appeals to Farm Rio to End Partnership With Starbucks From The Archive: Rio de Janeiro Fashion Scene, 1974 Rabanne Gets Funky in Rio With Its High Summer Collection Barros noted that international interest in her collections has grown organically in recent years, with clients in the U.S. and Europe connecting with the brand through family, travel and word of mouth. 'This spontaneous connection showed us it was time to build a more solid and intimate bridge,' she said. 'It's an emotional and strategic step. A new chapter, yes, but one that begins with the same principles that have always guided us.' As her brand enters new markets, Barros emphasized the importance of respecting local cultures while remaining true to the brand's DNA. 'Our biggest challenge will be just that: staying true to our creative narrative and our values while genuinely connecting with different contexts and audiences,' she explained. The brand's approach includes strengthening its digital presence and investing in selective communication channels, treating expansion 'as a natural unfolding of who we are.' Barros believes that what resonates with international audiences is the brand's commitment to handcrafted processes, sustainability and social responsibility. 'There's a growing demand, especially in the U.S. and European markets, for brands with authenticity, storytelling, purpose and exceptional quality,' she said. 'Our clients increasingly seek pieces with meaning. Each season, we introduce more sustainable options, using responsible materials and creation processes. We experiment with upcycling fabrics from our archives, for example.' Looking ahead, Barros is focused on balancing creative integrity with business growth, projecting a 20 percent increase in 2025. 'Growth matters but growing with responsibility is essential. For me, preserving the brand's creative integrity is non-negotiable,' she said. The strategy includes capsule projects that serve as creative laboratories, collaborations with artists, and reinforcing operational infrastructure to support expansion. Long-term, Barros aims for her label to be recognized globally as a reference for 'soulful, authorial design and conscious fashion created with care, depth and time.' She also highlighted the brand's ongoing commitment to social and environmental causes, including partnerships with NGOs in Brazil. 'If our international expansion becomes a platform to amplify these efforts, I'll be proud to help generate real value for communities, for nature and for the industry as a whole,' she said. Throwing a Dinner Party? Time to Get Some Fancy Candles

My life feels a bit brighter when there's a sexy candle afoot. I'm not talking about a boring 'seaside'-scented jar of paraffin from the recesses of the Marshall's bargain bin (although I'm not above a choice Le Labo candle dupe); I'm talking about the renaissance of incredibly specific candle aromas and shapes that have been blossoming recently. We have graduated from a time in history in which precious and varied aromas were reserved for, say, King Louis XIV's Versailles Orangerie to a time in which one can bring home a complex orange- and spearmint-scented candle at the click of a button, wherever they may live. If you love food, there's a strong chance you also love candles — and if you love hosting parties, there's an even greater chance that you love not only the posh, odor-neutralizing candles from Diptyque, but curating a selection of beeswax tapers for the dinner table or striped candles of a spring brunch. (Food-shaped candles have never been looking cooler, and there's an entire Eater shopping guide dedicated to navigating the world of trompe l'oeil candles that look like fried chicken and cherry cheesecake.) Today, I have narrowed down a selection of both my favorite candles for burning during a dinner party, as well as my favorite scented candles for making my home and kitchen smell like a Swedish princess cake or a Tuscan heirloom tomato that was just plucked from the vine. Grab your Tsubota lighter, and let's shop for the best candles for food-lovers and passionate dinner party hosts alike, whether your budget is $14 or $100. If I'm hosting friends for drinks or a movie, I'll often have a candle burning on my kitchen island for ambiance — ideally, something with a warm, inviting scent, such as cardamom, santal, or a tomato-scented candle during summer months. The first 'tomato girl summer' came and went in 2023, but the allure of finding the best vine-ripe scent has endured; today's scent-passionate folks have their pick of Flamingo Estate's iteration, which has lush notes of tarragon and pepper; the luxurious Loewe tomato candle in its chic terracotta vessel (although its $130 price tag may make some eyes pop); and plenty of newer, more affordable tomato candle options under $40. One of my favorites is Diptyque's odor-removing La Droguerie candle, which isn't marketed as a tomato candle but is made with a combination of basil, mint, and tomato leaf that smells crisp and herbaceous. When dressing a table for a gathering, it's important to make sure you're not burning scented candles that will compete with the divine smell of your chicken paprika. Leave the scented candles in the loo or the living room coffee table and opt for unscented beeswax taper candles — a favorite of Martha Stewart, no less — or tea candles that won't obstruct your guests' views of one another. If you're feeling a little adventurous, sniff out candles with intricate designs, shapes, or pops of color. Next up, the fancy hand soap aisle.
