Ravens Derrick Henry Backup Labeled Among NFL's Most Underrated
In a recent article by PFF's Jonathon Macri, he outlines who he thinks is every team's most underrated player heading into the 2025 season. For the reigning AFC North champions, he thinks that player is speedy running back Justice Hill.

"Derrick Henry is at the forefront of the conversation around the Ravens' backfield as one of the top names at his position in the league," Macri writes. "However, Hill is the unsung hero of the unit, playing primarily on passing downs to provide Henry a breather so he can dominate on early downs. Hill earned a top-five PFF receiving grade (89.0) in 2024, bringing in 48 of 52 targets for 403 yards and four receiving touchdowns."
One might look at Hill's 228 yards and one touchdown on the ground and completely write him off, but he provides so much more of a value to the Ravens than that.
He can flat out get it done in the passing game, as he finished the 2024 season with just under 400 yards and three touchdowns through the air. With how menacing Henry is on the ground, having a back like Hill to complement him is invaluable.
The Ravens fell short in the playoffs this past season, falling to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional in a close one. Hill and Henry will be looking to help the team make it back to the playoffs and hopefully even farther in 2025.

Former Jacksonville Jaguars' running back signs with Baltimore Ravens
Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back D'Ernest Johnson is reportedly signing with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Johnson spent two seasons with the Jaguars and had a relatively small role on offense, totaling just 41 carries during that span. He did, however, average 4.5 yards per rush in 2024 and made the most of his pass-catching opportunities, recording 206 receiving yards in his two seasons with Jacksonville on just 22 receptions, per PFF. Johnson also played just 55 special teams snaps last season after seeing 142 the year prior. Johnson was a free agent this offseason, and like every other unrestricted free agent that the Jaguars had, GM James Gladstone let him walk. The Jaguars' running back room quickly became crowded with Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne returning, while Gladstone also added Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen in the NFL draft.
