Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely to miss time after rolling ankle in practice
Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely will miss some time after rolling his ankle in training camp practice on Tuesday, head coach John Harbaugh said. Harbaugh said more information on the injury should be relayed to the coaching staff on Wednesday, but he expects Likely to be out for at least a few weeks. "He rolled his ankle, his foot area, so we will get an MRI tomorrow to see what exactly needs to be done, but it will probably be a few weeks," Harbaugh said. "It's good that it's this early in camp." Likely, heading into his fourth season in Baltimore out of Coastal Carolina, caught 42 passes for 477 yards with six touchdowns last season. He caught a touchdown pass in the final two minutes of the Ravens' AFC Divisional playoff game, which got Baltimore within 27-25. They lost after tight end Mark Andrews dropped the two-point conversion. In three seasons, Likely has 108 receptions for 1,261 yards and 14 touchdowns, but his contributions have grown each year since he joined the team. The Ravens are expecting a big season from Likely, who is part of the tight end room with Mark Andrews and Charlie Kolar. Andrews, a three-time Pro Bowl performer, had 11 touchdown grabs in 2024. Since being drafted by Baltimore in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Andrews has 436 catches for 5,530 yards and 51 touchdowns. However, he doesn't have a touchdown in eight career playoff games. The Baltimore Ravens won the AFC North in 2024 with a 12-5 record. They open the preseason at home against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, Aug. 7. Baltimore kicks off the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 7 against the Buffalo Bills. Its home opener is against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 14.

Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes Linked to Stunning WR Reunion
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are heading into the 2025 NFL season as one of the top contenders in the AFC once again. Until a team is able to prove that they can beat the Chiefs in the playoffs, Mahomes and company will continue remaining at the top of the conference. Despite losing in the Super Bowl last season, Kansas City is still one of the most talented teams in the NFL. With Travis Kelce back for another year and the Chiefs being able to keep key pieces during the offseason like Nick Bolton and Trey Smith, there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic about yet another championship run. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes #15 of the Kansas City Chiefs and Tyreek Hill #10 celebrate a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce #87 in the second quarter of the AFC Divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans... Quarterback Patrick Mahomes #15 of the Kansas City Chiefs and Tyreek Hill #10 celebrate a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce #87 in the second quarter of the AFC Divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium on January 12, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri. More Photo byOne major question that is swirling around in Kansas City has to do with how long the current core will be in place. Kelce contemplated retirement before the 2025 season, but opted to come back for at least one more year. Read more: Bengals, Nick Saban Connection Emerges in Stunning Suggestion Another question becomes, what will the Chiefs do in the future to remain among the NFL's elite? How about a reunion with Tyreek Hill? That would be one move the team could make to bring back a former piece of the dynasty and give Mahomes the best wide receiver he has ever had once again. Nick Wright of FS1 believes that Hill will indeed reunite with Kansas City. He not only thinks Hill will be back with the Chiefs next season, but he also predicted Kelce returning for another run as well. However, he also hinted that Kelce and Hill would retire after one more year in Kansas City together. "I'm very excited for Hill wearing a Chiefs uniform in 2026," Wright said. "[Hill] and [Travis] Kelce ride off into the sunset together, because that's, I think, going to happen." Read more: Steelers' DK Metcalf Puts NFL on Notice With Bold Warning Hill has been with the Miami Dolphins for the last three seasons. In year one with the Dolphins, he caught 119 passes for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns and backed that up with 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 scores in his second year. Last season, he ended up with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. While this is just a prediction, it's one that could make sense. Hill could leave Miami and if he does, the Chiefs would likely have interest in a reunion. It may not have a chance of happening, but it's something to keep an eye on. Baltimore Ravens rookie Malaki Starks could be a starter immediately.
Baltimore Ravens rookie Malaki Starks could be a starter immediately. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best safeties in the entire NFL in Kyle Hamilton, and now they may have another star at the position on their hands. Advertisement In a recent article by PFF, they give some key players on every team's starting lineup, as well as some rookies to watch. For the reigning AFC North champions, they list rookie safety Malaki Starks as someone who could make an immediate impact. "With Ar'Darius Washington's 2025 season in jeopardy due to a torn Achilles in May, Malaki Starks has very little standing in his way from starting at safety opposite Kyle Hamilton," PFF wrote. "He was stellar during his three years at Georgia, earning an 87.5 career PFF overall grade. If Starks can live up to his first-round billing, Baltimore could quickly have the best safety pairing in the league with both players still under 25 years old." The Ravens selected Starks out of Georgia with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. With the team allowing the second-most passing yards in the league in 2024, drafting secondary was in the team's best interests. Starks finished his final season with the Bulldogs with an interception, three passes defended, and 77 total tackles, four of them being for a loss. Advertisement The Ravens are coming off of a loss in the AFC Divisional to the Buffalo Bills, so Starks and the rest of the team's defense will be looking to help lead the team back to the playoffs to redeem themselves. Kirk Cousins trolls Travis Kelce for his back hair: ‘God bless Taylor Swift'
Kirk Cousins couldn't help but make fun of Travis Kelce for his hairy back. The Falcons quarterback weighed in on the photos of the Chiefs tight end that circulated recently during an interview with E! News earlier this week. 'God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that,' Cousins said. 'That's awesome. Good for her.' Advertisement Cousins assumed it was 'just genetics' that led to Kelce's fuzzy look. Getty Images 'Thankfully, I don't have to deal with that,' Cousins joked. 'But I'm in a locker room a lot. That's just a part of life. It is what it is.' Advertisement Kelce was spotted on Tuesday in Miami, where he at one point took off his black T-shirt to reveal a hairy back as he stepped into the back of a car. Last year, Kelce's brother, Jason, told a story about his sibling's furry body before Travis revealed a hilarious nickname he earned during his college days in an episode of the pair's 'New Heights' podcast. 'And anyone who has ever played pickup basketball, you know there's shirts and skins.' Advertisement Travis said he sported a 'big beard,' 'long hair' and 'the chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair' at the time. 'It's just a big ole Yeti out there, man,' Travis continued. 'All the homies on the court were calling me 'Big Yeti.'' Aside from getting spotted in South Florida, Kelce and Swift have had a quiet offseason together after Kansas City's 40-22 loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl 2025 this past February.

Ravens Derrick Henry Backup Labeled Among NFL's Most Underrated
The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Derrick Henry, but they also have a very solid RB2 to help provide an impressive one-two punch. In a recent article by PFF's Jonathon Macri, he outlines who he thinks is every team's most underrated player heading into the 2025 season. For the reigning AFC North champions, he thinks that player is speedy running back Justice Hill. Advertisement "Derrick Henry is at the forefront of the conversation around the Ravens' backfield as one of the top names at his position in the league," Macri writes. "However, Hill is the unsung hero of the unit, playing primarily on passing downs to provide Henry a breather so he can dominate on early downs. Hill earned a top-five PFF receiving grade (89.0) in 2024, bringing in 48 of 52 targets for 403 yards and four receiving touchdowns." One might look at Hill's 228 yards and one touchdown on the ground and completely write him off, but he provides so much more of a value to the Ravens than that. He can flat out get it done in the passing game, as he finished the 2024 season with just under 400 yards and three touchdowns through the air. With how menacing Henry is on the ground, having a back like Hill to complement him is invaluable. The Ravens fell short in the playoffs this past season, falling to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional in a close one. Hill and Henry will be looking to help the team make it back to the playoffs and hopefully even farther in 2025.
