Five seconds of fame for Gillingham

Winnipeg's mayor received attention on a long-standing, popular game show this week.
On Tuesday, Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings raised an 'answer' that noted Mayor Scott Gillingham by name.
'In Canada, his or her worship is for people with this government job, like Scott Gillingham of Winnipeg and Surrey, B.C.'s Brenda Locke,' the answer stated.
A recent Jeopardy! episode name-dropped Winnipeg Mayor Scott Gillingham.
While the show's contestants did not give the correct 'what is a mayor?' question in response, Gillingham noted the exchange on social media.

On Saturday, Mayor Scott Gillingham presented Cockburn with a key to the city at the 50th edition of the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Cockburn is known for helping to shape the Canadian music scene with his sound that blends folk, jazz and blues, and his classic songs like 'Lovers in a Dangerous Time.' 'We are happy to have him recognized for his artistry, his influence on Canadian folk music, and his special relationship with the Winnipeg Folk Festival.' The key to the city recognizes the significant contributions of dignitaries visiting the city. This is the second time Gillingham has awarded this honour.
