Penmaenmawr man arrested after statue damage in Caernarfon
The 38-year-old man, who is from the Penmaenmawr area, was arrested yesterday (July 3) on suspicion of criminal damage.
He has since been released with strict bail conditions while inquiries continue.
The graffiti on the statue has since been removed.
Lloyd George remains the UK's only Welsh Prime Minister.
The statue, by Caernarfon Castle, has been in place since 1921 while Lloyd George, who represented the town in Westminster, was still Prime Minister.

Tributes to Blood Bike 'hero' who died in A478 crash in Pembrokeshire
The man, in his 70s, has been hailed a 'hero' after he lost his life when his red Honda Blood Bikes motorcycle was in a collision with a van while he was delivering urgent NHS supplies. One tribute read: "So sad, a great man doing voluntary work for such a good cause." Another commented: "Rest in peace blood angel", while another posted: "Died while helping others" and another simply wrote:"RIP hero!". Blood Bikes Wales is one of 36 UK volunteer-run blood bike groups that provide a vital, free service to the NHS by transporting blood, organs, medication and other medical supplies. Following the crash on the A478 between Glandy Cross and Blaenffos at 6.25pm on Wednesday evening, July 2, Dyfed-Powys Police have issued an appeal for dashcam footage or information from anyone who was travelling along the route at that time. Anyone with information can contact police on 101@ or by phoning 101. The rider, who died at the scene, has not yet been named by police. His family are being supported by specialist officers. 'It's a stark reminder that volunteers put their lives on the line daily to perform this vital service for the NHS,' Merseyside & Cheshire Blood Bikes posted on Facebook. The group was one of many organisations and individuals sending condolences to the man's loved ones and Blood Bikes Blood Bikes 'family'. 'Thank you for your service,' the Merseyside group added. Bloodrun Energency Voluntary Service, Blood Bikes North East, sent their condolences 'at an incredibly difficult time' and added: "This tragic news is a stark reminder of the risks that blood bike & blood car volunteers across the UK take every day." Midland Freewheelers Blood Bikes said they were 'deeply saddened' to hear of the loss of the Welsh rider. They added: "Thank you for your service. On behalf of us all, we send our heartfelt condolences to your family, friends and Blood Bike family. Rest easy'. Dyfed-Powys Police said following the crash: 'One man, aged 56, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody. "The road was closed overnight while specialist collision investigators carried out their enquiries. It re-opened at 6.45am on Thursday July 3."

Girl, 15, goes missing after travelling 200 miles away
Police are investigating the disappearance of a Welsh teenager who has not been seen for nearly a week. Eva, 15, travelled from her home in Cardiff to Maidstone in east England on Monday and has not been heard from since. The teenager left her home on the evening of June 30 and has been tracked by police who found she took a bus from Cardiff to Maidstone. The day later, on the morning of July 1, Eva was seen on CCTV to have entered a Pret A Manger store on Fremlin Walk. She has not been traced since, and now Kent Police are appealing for help. They have described Eva as "of a mixed ethnic background" and said at the time of leaving home she was wearing a cream skirt, a bikini style white top and white sliders. She could be wearing a long wig and be carrying a white canvas bag. A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "Help is sought to locate a child missing from South Wales who has travelled to Maidstone. "Eva is 15 and left her home near Cardiff at around 5pm on Monday 30 June. "Enquiries have since established that she travelled to Maidstone by bus and train and attended Pret A Manger in Fremlin Walk, on the morning of Tuesday 1 July. "Eva is of a mixed ethnic background, with a small build and around 4ft 10in. She was wearing a cream skirt, a bikini style white top and white sliders. Man arrested after statue of former prime minster David Lloyd George vandalised
A man has been arrested in connection with an incident that saw graffiti daubed on a statue of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George. The graffiti attack happened overnight on Monday at the site on Y Maes in the centre of Caernarfon and in the shadow of the town's castle. As well as covering the statue in paint there were messages like "Zionist", "Free Palestine" and "Lloyd George is scum". The paint has since been removed. Police this afternoon released this statement. They said: "A man has been arrested in connection with criminal damage that was caused on the statue of Lloyd George in Caernarfon earlier this week. "The 38-year-old, who is from the Penmaenmawr area, was arrested yesterday (Thursday) on suspicion of criminal damage. He has since been released with strict bail conditions whilst enquiries continue. "On Tuesday, 1st July North Wales Police were made aware that damage had been caused to the statue, which is situated on the Maes in the town and enquiries have been underway." Lloyd George, from Llanystumdwy, near Criccieth, is the only UK prime minister from Wales - holding the role from 1916-1922. He was PM in 1917 when the Balfour Declaration statement was made by the British government, expressing support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine.
