Jon Machota of The Athletic reports that Parsons was absent from the team on Tuesday, although head coach Brian Scottenheimer states he had lunch with Parsons on Monday.
"When he's here, he's been great. And again, it's all voluntary. So, guys are in and out, some guys come to meetings, some guys come to practice, some guys are just here getting treatment and things like that. And that's not just specific to Micah, it's specific to all the guys," Schottenheimer told reporters per Machota.

Parsons is currently negotiating a new contract, as he is in the final year of his rookie deal after the Cowboys exercised his fifth-year option.
The star pass-rusher has recorded 52.5 sacks during his first four seasons. This past season, Parson finished sixth in PFF's overall grade for edge rushers, fourth in pass rush grade, though only 72nd in run defense.
He recorded 14 sacks this past season, ranking third among edge players.
Overall, Parsons is one of the most effective players at pressuring the quarterback, and despite breaking out in his rookie year and immediately garnering the attention of the offensive coordinator, he has still managed to wreak havoc against the opposing offensive line.

Considering his performance and his earlier statements about wanting to remain with the Cowboys, Parsons is poised to secure a significant overall contract, which should materialize in Dallas, although the Cowboys seem to be adopting a certain level of hardball tactics.
The team took a similar stance in negotiations with franchise quarterback Dak Prescott, which led to the deal taking several months to finalize, although there were multiple occasions when it seemed likely that he would be traded.
Parsons is entering the prime of his career at nearly 26 years old, and a long-term five-year deal should help him finish out the rest of his athletic peak with Dallas.
Looking at the big edge rusher contracts market, Myles Garrett signed a deal worth $40 million per year, while Danielle Hunter's sits at $35.6 million and Crosby at $35.5 million per season.
Considering his age and production, Parsons is likely to earn a million or two more a year than those players, potentially reaching up to $5 million more with a five-year deal, which would break the record for the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

Cardinals injury update: Rookie OL Valentin Senn placed on injured reserve
The Cardinals lose one of their rookie free agents for the season as OL Valentin Senn suffered a neck injury in camp. The Arizona Cardinals have lost one of their rookies. After suffering a neck injury in training camp, undrafted rookie Valentin Senn was placed on injured reserve, according to the NFL transaction report on Sunday. The move essentially ends his season. Senn was a rookie free agent out of UConn who signed after the draft. The Cardinals had used their international roster exemption on Senn, a native of Austria, and guaranteed $234,000 of his salary, the equivalent of 18 weeks on the practice squad. Because he was on the roster with an exemption, allowing the Cardinals to have 91 players on the offseason, they cannot replace him unless they sign an international player. If they do not sign another player using the exemption, they will be limited to 16 players on the practice squad instead of 17. CBS Quietly Removes Former NFL Star From 2025 Broadcast Crew
CBS Quietly Removes Former NFL Star From 2025 Broadcast Crew originally appeared on The Spun. The NFL on CBS will look a bit different this upcoming season. The network has decided to move on from a three-time Pro Bowler. Last week, CBS unveiled its game announcers for the 2025 regular season. As you'd expect, the ton names like Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Ian Eagle will remain key contributors for the network. Former NFL running back Tiki Barber, however, was left off this list from CBS. He has been a game analyst for CBS since 2019, working alongside Andrew Catalon, Matt Ryan and a few other broadcasters. Though we're not entirely sure why, CBS has replaced Barber with Charles Davis. Here's the 2025 broadcast roster for CBS: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson Ian Eagle, J.J. Watt and Evan Washburn Kevin Harlan, Trent Green and Melanie Collins Andrew Catalon, Charles Davis, Jason McCourty and AJ Ross Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta and Aditi Kinkhabwala Even though Barber won't be part of a CBS crew this NFL season, he'll keep himself busy on Sundays. He'll team up with John Schmeelk for gameday broadcasts. "I am really excited to be joining the Giants gameday radio broadcast team on WFAN. This organization has meant so much to me, professionally and personally," Barber said. "The Giants have a long history of legendary broadcasters and Wellington Mara always told them to call it like they see it because our fans know better. I look forward to providing analysis and insight that Giants fans appreciate." The former New York Giants running back will also continue hosting "Evan & Tiki" every weekday on WFAN Quietly Removes Former NFL Star From 2025 Broadcast Crew first appeared on The Spun on Aug 3, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Aug 3, 2025, where it first appeared.

Matthew Stafford won't take part in Rams' joint practice with Cowboys
Sean McVay won't have to worry about Matthew Stafford catching a twice-tipped pass and stumbling over the goal line during a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys. That anxiety-inducing event occurred last year when the Rams practiced against the Cowboys. On Tuesday, the Rams again travel to Oxnard to practice against the Cowboys before Saturday's preseason game at SoFi Stadium. Read more: Matthew Stafford visits back specialist; still unclear when Rams QB might practice But the back issue that sidelined Stafford throughout training camp will keep him off the field. When the Rams go through a jogthrough on Monday, Stafford will continue to work out on his own, McVay said Sunday after the final public workout at Loyola Marymount. 'He is able to do a little bit more, which is good, and things are progressing well,' McVay said. 'But he won't take part in the jogthrough because he'll be doing some other stuff during that time.' McVay said Stafford's workouts with trainers have included some static throwing exercises, running on a treadmill, light cardio and core work. 'It's more just functional strength surrounding the area while making sure that you don't do anything to set yourself back, based on the trajectory that he's doing,' McVay said. 'But we are looking forward to getting him and easing him back to football hopefully in the near future.'
