Strictly's Dianne Buswell shares 'right time' update about baby plans with boyfriend Joe Sugg
Dianne Buswell has delivered a six-word update regarding her baby plans with boyfriend Joe Sugg. The smitten duo have been romantically linked since they linked up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.
The pair reached the competition's finale, though Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton ultimately claimed the coveted Glitterball Trophy. Yet once the series wrapped, Dianne reveals she and Joe, 33, discovered they yearned for each other's company.
Romance quickly flourished between them, before they moved in together the following year. By 2021, they had purchased their own property together.
This progression has sparked fan speculation about potential nuptials and even the possibility of expanding their family. Dianne has previously mentioned the couple are "playing their marriage by ear".
The 36 year old has now provided an insight into the duo's family aspirations during a chat with Prima magazine, revealing: "We've always wanted kids, it's just finding the right time," reports Wales Online.
"I don't feel worried about taking time out from dancing, I just don't see the point in worrying. When everything aligns, it will happen. I have to have that vision. I like to practise manifestation, I'm quite spiritual."
Previously, Dianne disclosed that whilst she meticulously organises her professional life, she adopts a more relaxed approach to her romantic future with Joe. She confessed: "I plan my work a lot, but that's probably as far as I go with planning. I'm quite an unorganised person actually.
"Joe and I don't really talk about that kind of thing. We're both so relaxed so we just play it by ear. We really enjoy each other's company so much and whatever happens, happens."
The Aussie dancer has been dropping hints to Joe about her readiness to tie the knot. This comes after Chris McCausland, who triumphed on Strictly with Dianne last year, made a cheeky yet pointed remark regarding her ring finger.
In a chat about fingers, Dianne gestured to her ring finger and quizzed: "What's that one, your best friend finger?" which prompted Chris to jest: "It's the one Joe's done nothing with."
Dianne agreed with a playful retort: "Exactly, we need to remind Joe what that finger holds. That finger is feeling very lonely, it needs something to weigh it down with."
Dianne has also been candid about her and Joe's plans for a family in the future. In an interview in 2022, she mentioned they plan to start a family 'when it feels right', signalling they're not rushing to grow their romance into a larger family just yet.
Joe, the younger brother of famed YouTuber Zoe Sugg, was 27 when he first crossed paths with Dianne and has confessed she's his first "proper girlfriend". Speaking openly with The Sunday Times in 2021, Joe shared: "Dianne is my first girlfriend. Other than, like, my penpal from when I was 10."

BBC launches probe into Strictly cocaine use following drug abuse allegations
The BBC has reportedly launched a probe to investigate claims of cocaine use by two stars of Strictly Come Dancing. According to The Sun, a celebrity has alleged that it was 'well known on the show that two stars took cocaine.' In response to the allegations, BBC bosses are said to have launched an enquiry using external lawyers. The claims were reportedly made in March by law firm Russells, on behalf of former contestant Wynne Evans. According to the tabloid, other sources have also reported allegations of drug use to the BBC. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. A BBC spokesperson told the publication: 'We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us.' Of the claims, the BBC's spokesperson continued: 'We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. 'It would not be appropriate for us to comment further.' As a part of the probe, former contestants, cast and crew alike will all be given the opportunity to speak to law firm Pinsent Masons about their concerns. This comes as a celebrity source told The Sun that it is 'well known on the show that two stars took cocaine . . . it was talked about widely among the cast.' Meanwhile, one Strictly star allegedly described another person on the show as being 'off their face.' The Sun has not mentioned the stars who have been accused of taking cocaine. This comes at a fraught time for the BBC – and less than a year after its investigation into allegations of bullying on the Strictly set concluded. A probe was launched into claims of misconduct by professional Giovanni Pernice, who was forced to step down amid claims that he had bullied actress Amanda Abbington during their rehearsals together. After months of investigating, the BBC upheld two moments of 'inappropriate behaviour of sexual banter in the workplace' The investigation uncovered no findings relating to physical aggression, but complaints of verbal bullying and harassment were upheld, according to the PA news agency. More recently, the BBC dropped former Strictly contestant Wynne Evans from his BBC Wales rolling contract after a series of controversies. The singer and professional dance partner Katya Jones sparked furore when she appeared to move his hand from her waist – which he said was 'just a body language experiment that was picked up on'. More Trending The pair maintained that this was a 'silly joke' which had simply misfired, but the opera singer was struck with more controversy when reports emerged that he'd made an 'unacceptable joke' about Strictly Live host Janette Manrara. Evans subsequently apologised, describing himself as 'deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate action caused' and would take a break from the public eye for 'self-reflection' and to 'prioritise my wellbeing'. The BBC later decided not to renew his one-year rolling BBC Radio contract following the conclusion of a four-month investigation. View More » has contacted the BBC for comment on this story. Doctor Who star Alex Kingston 'becomes latest star to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing' after watching her close pal compete
Strictly Come Dancing bosses have reportedly bagged Doctor Who star Alex Kingston for the latest series. The ER actress, 62, is said to have 'jumped at the chance' to sign up for the BBC series after watching her pal Sarah Hadland come second place last year. A source told The Sun: 'Bosses are delighted to have snapped up Alex. 'She's a real talent and will add a lot, it's always exciting to have a prestigious actress on the cast. 'It's the first time Alex has done a reality show of any kind, but she's a huge fan of the show and couldn't resist the opportunity.' Daily Mail has contacted the BBC and Alex's representatives for comment. Alex notably appeared in US drama ER from 1997 to 2005 alongside George Clooney. She also took on a recurring role in Doctor Who, playing River Song - the love interest of Matt Smith's incarnation of the Doctor and the daughter of Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill). Alex briefly reprised her role during Peter Capaldi's stint on the BBC sci-fi show and has also leant her voice to a number of audio releases in the franchise. Alex has previously spoken about her desire to sign up for Strictly, revealing she and her close friend Sarah - who competed last year - had discussed it. 'Sarah Hadland and I talked about how much we'd like to do Strictly Come Dancing,' she said in 2019. 'Then I discovered she's a trained ballet dancer. ''Hang on a minute! That's not fair!'' So, I can't do it on a season when she is on it!' The series will return later this year, although an exact date is yet to be announced. It's believed Ellie Goldstein is reportedly set to become the first Strictly star with Down syndrome after signing up for the show. The model, 23, who has appeared on the cover of Vogue, is hoping to 'break down barriers' in the entertainment industry. When Ellie was born, doctors said that she would 'never walk or talk', and one nurse devastatingly suggested that her parents might want to 'leave her' at the hospital. But she has defied all expectations since her birth in December 2001, making history as the first model with Down's syndrome to feature in major international campaigns. And as Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to screens this Autumn, Ellie has been rumoured to be the latest celebrity who has signed on to the cast. Gucci hired Ellie for its Unconventional Beauty adverts, landing her the cover of Italian Vogue in 2020. She has graced the covers of numerous magazines, including Elle and Glamour, featured in promotions for Gucci Beauty, Adidas, TK Maxx, Body Shop, Boots, Spotify, Victoria's Secret and Sports Direct, and even hung in the National Portrait Gallery in London on two occasions. Ellie has been flown to Sweden, Italy and Germany for photoshoots, and has just strutted her stuff on the catwalk at London Fashion Week. In 2023, she headed to Paris to receive a prestigious Business of Fashion award. As well as being 'treated like a princess' on photoshoots, Ellie has also been showered with designer gifts — clothes and bags from Gucci and Kurt Geiger — and helped create her own dress for Adidas, pale pink with 'Role Model' written on the back. When Mattel launched its first Barbie with Down's syndrome, the company hired Ellie to help promote the doll. 'I've done so much modelling and I love it,' she previously told Daily Mail. 'And I adored doing the Barbie job — it was great to finally see a doll that looked like me.' Other celebrities rumoured to be among the 2025 line-up include Dani Dyer, Neighbours veteran Stefan Dennis, Stacey Solomon and Vicky Pattison. Helen Flanagan, dating expert Paul C Brunson, Gladiators star Nitro, Tom Parker-Bowles and Georgia Toffolo have also been tipped to appear.

BBC launches investigation into Strictly stars' ‘cocaine use'
Reports in The Sun allege their drug use was discussed on the BBC dancing show, and said that the corporation had appointed law firm Pinsent Masons to lead the investigation. According to reports, the allegations were made in a legal submission by law firm Russells in March on behalf of former contestant Wynne Evans, who was dropped by the BBC after apologising for using 'inappropriate language' during the launch of the Strictly tour. Others have also reported drug use on the show, according to The Sun. A BBC spokesperson said: 'We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. 'We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further.' it is understood that the BBC often appoints external law firms to help it lead investigations, while reporting back to an internal team. The cast members involved in the investigation were not named by The Sun. It comes after the BBC launched a review into Strictly in 2024 that looked into allegations of bullying and harassment against former professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, made by his former dance partner Amanda Abbington. The corporation upheld some, but not all, of the complaints made – and introduced a series of new measures aimed at improving welfare. This included the introduction of a chaperone who is present 'at all times' during training room rehearsals. EastEnders star James Borthwick was also suspended from the BBC after a video emerged of the actor using a disabled slur on the set of the dance programme.
