Report – Inter Milan Line Up Fiorentina & Italy Star In Case Of Premier League Target's Exit
Inter Milan have reportedly lined up Fiorentina striker Moise Kean as a replacement in case Marcus Thuram leaves this summer.
This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, via FCInterNews. They report that Inter are wary of Premier League clubs potentially triggering Thuram's release clause.

Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram has a release clause in his contract worth €85 million.
Obviously, this is a very high fee. However, a player of the Frenchman's calibre could certainly be worth it to some of Europe's elite.
Teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have targeted Thuram in the past.
And according to Il Giorno, the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal could very well be tempted into moving for Thuram. Both are currently in search of a striker.
Moreover, the newspaper note, Thuram appears to be somewhat discontent after harsh comments by Inter captain Lautaro Martinez earlier this week.

And if Thuram were to leave for €85 million, it would represent a gargantuan profit for Inter. The Nerazzurri signed the France international on a free transfer two years ago.

Clearly, if Marcus Thuram were to head for the exit door then Inter would look to replace him.
According to Il Giorno, Inter have one target in mind in particular as a potential heir to the 27-year-old.
Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has just come off the back of an absolutely explosive season.
The Italian international scored 25 goals and made three assists in all competitions for La Viola. He really made good on the promise that he had long shown playing for Juventus, Everton, and PSG.

And Kean has a release clause of his own. A bid of €52 million would be enough to secure the 25-year-old's services from Fiorentina.
Therefore, reports Il Giorno, Inter would see Kean as an ideal replacement for Thuram if the latter leaves.

Brazil's Gabigol wins appeal in anti-doping case
Gabriel Barbosa, formerly of Flamengo, was cleared of any anti-doping offence by CAS (DOUGLAS MAGNO) Brazil international Gabriel Barbosa on Friday was cleared of tampering during a doping test by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which annulled a two-year ban imposed on the striker. Known as Gabigol, the 28-year-old was suspended by the Brazilian Anti-Doping Tribunal in March 2024 for attempted fraud during a doping test. It was alleged the player was uncooperative during a surprise doping test while playing for Flamengo. Advertisement Gabigol promptly took the matter to Swiss-based CAS who decided to authorise him to play while awaiting the end of the procedure. CAS said in its ruling that while Gabigol's "behaviour was completely uncooperative, it cannot be considered as 'tampering' under the World Anti-Doping Code" and did not constitute a rule violation. It is alleged that on the testing day in April 2023, Gabigol's team-mates underwent testing in the morning while he ignored a request to be present and attended after lunchtime. When he finally arrived to be tested, he reportedly became upset because an officer escorted him to the bathroom. Advertisement Furthermore, he did not respect the sample collection protocol, according to the accusation. A key figure in Flamengo's 2019 domestic league and Copa Libertadores titles, Gabigol has consistently denied having tried to cheat in the test. The former Inter Milan forward joined Cruzeiro at the start of the year. He has won 18 caps for Brazil but last played for his country in 2022. jss/erc/cl/jld/bm/mw/nr
