Johor JPJ issues 5,744 summonses, seizes 83 vehicles in Aidiladha special ops
Johor JPJ Director Azmil Zainal Adnan said that of the total, 1,264 summonses were issued for not having a Competent Driving Licence (CDL), 1,163 for expired Motor Vehicle Licences (LKM), 1,021 for lacking insurance, and 134 for not possessing a Vocational Licence.
'All these summonses were issued after checks were carried out on 45,395 vehicles. Additionally, 83 vehicles were seized, involving 66 motorcycles, nine cars, and eight other types of vehicles,' he said in a statement last night.
He added that summonses were also issued for offences such as queue cutting or overtaking on the left (7), overtaking on a double line (15), and failing to obey red traffic lights (7).
'Other offences included using the emergency lane (8), using a mobile phone (9), not wearing a helmet (72), not wearing a seatbelt (51), and other miscellaneous offences (1,993),' he said.
Azmil Zainal urged road users and the public to cooperate and adhere to regulations, being tolerant of other users for the safety of themselves and their families.

Zara Qairina had claimed friend was ‘almost touched' by senior students

(Facebook pic) PETALING JAYA : Zara Qairina Mahathir, who died after allegedly falling from the third floor of her school hostel in Sabah, claimed that one of her friends was almost 'touched' by Form Four students. Zara Qairina had alleged the incident in a conversation with her mother, Noraidah Lamat, a recording of which has made the rounds on social media, Sinar Harian reported. The 13-year-old had claimed that her friend was summoned to a classroom in her school after being accused of spreading a rumour that a woman had a crush on one of the senior students. Zara Qairina said her friend had gone to the classroom alone and was confronted by a group of seniors. 'She was almost touched then,' she was heard saying. She also claimed that her friend cried after the incident. Noraidah went on to remark that maybe her daughter had also been slandered in the past. According to Sinar Harian, the recording was among the evidence to prove that bullying was going on in the school. Noraidah's lawyer, Hamid Ismail, confirmed the recording. Before this, two other recordings were made public, one of which suggested that Zara Qairina was worried about her safety. Zara Qairina was found unconscious at 4am on July 16 after she allegedly fell from the third floor of her school hostel in Papar. She died at Queen Elizabeth I Hospital in Kota Kinabalu the next day. Sabah police commissioner Jauteh Dikun had said Bukit Aman was reviewing the case and police had not ruled out the possibility that the Form One student had been bullied.

Homeless man fed chicken bones: ‘influencer' sorry for PR stunt
Instagram user @aluk_77 asked Malaysians to forgive him and his two friends who were also in the video. PETALING JAYA : A social media user has apologised for a publicity stunt in which he and two others purportedly gave a homeless man a packet of rice with chicken bones. The apparent social media influencer said the homeless man had agreed to help them with the video and that he already knew he would be given rice with chicken bones purely for the video. In a video, Instagram user @aluk_77 maintained that they did not actually give the man just chicken bones but had bought him a full meal with two pieces of fried chicken. He said their intention was to post content on being more charitable, adding that this was supposed to be the first of several videos. 'But we did not expect the video to cause such a huge uproar, and this is our mistake. We are sorry. 'We had packed the complete meal from the start, which we gave him later. He knew about it from the beginning. 'We are sorry. We will be more sincere in giving back to society and produce more meaningful videos. We hope everyone will forgive us, we're sorry,' he said. The initial video, which has since been deleted, sparked backlash from netizens, with some even calling for an investigation to be launched against them. At the time of writing, he had about 140,000 followers on Instagram.
