Revealed: Tyson Fury's fortune rose from £82m to £162m in 2024 after first fight with Oleksandr Usyk with retired boxer's company continuing to rake in more millions from investments
Tyson Fury 's fortune almost doubled from £82.3 million to £162 million last year, it can be revealed.
Fury's boxing company show reserves rocketed by £80 million after his first fight with Olekasander Usyk in May last year.
But despite the mega boost to his worth Fury took a modest dividend payout of £100,000 compared to £150,000 the year before.
Details are published in accounts for Tyson Fury Limited which channels the boxer's income from fights in the 12 months up to the end of September last year.
The company holds cash reserves of £7.5 million, but the bulk of his fortune is held in unspecified investments which rocketed to £176.7 million from £108.8million.
The overall value of his fortune is reduced because creditors are owed just over £28 million.
Fury lost the World Heavyweight bout with Usyk in May last year, and was defeated a second time in a rematch in December.
The figures for the second bout, also fought in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, are not included in the latest accounts.
And that means that his fortune is now likely to be way in excess of £200 million.
The financial details mean that firm's financial clout is now very close to London rival Anthony Joshua's fortune.
Joshua's Sparta Promotions Limited is worth almost £150 million and his 258 Marketing Limited £35 million.
Last week friends of Fury said he was definitely retired although he was not at peace after the controversial loss to sky in December which was decided on three judges scoring his rival as the winner.
He told WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman he was glad to have quit.
Sulaiman said: 'I call him regularly and he said: 'Oh I'm so happy, retired, I'm here with my wife. 'He didn't hint whatsoever that he was planning on coming back.
'He told me he was not happy with the decision in the second fight with Usyk.
'He's still very bitter about the judges' scoring and he was very upset but he was retired, that's what he said.'

Powys waiting on another £6m in Levelling Up Funding
POWYS Council is still waiting to find out if it will receive a further £6 million in UK Government Levelling Up Funding (LUF) – a senior councillor has revealed. Earlier this month (June) the county council said that it had received 'almost £11 million' from the UK Labour Government and that the authority will use this to: 'invest in capital projects aimed at promoting recreational tourism in the county through transport investment.' The council said that this funding would be used on projects that include resurfacing works, walking, and cycling schemes (active travel) and rights of way refurbishment. However, a question from Plaid Cymru group leader, Cllr Elwyn Vaughan to the cabinet has prompted the council to say that the allocation is much lower than what they wanted. Due to this a number of projects are on hold and will not be worked on this financial year while others will be partly funded and completed in the future once more money is found. Cllr Vaughan asked: 'Can you please (provide) a full list of the projects being supported by the £11 million LUF recently received towards roads and paths.' Cabinet member for highways, transport, and recycling Cllr Jackie Charlton (Liberal Democrat) said: 'The original LUF bid was for around £17 million plus match funding, but we only received just under £11 million this year. 'The rest of the bid is subject to the UK Government Spending Review which we are still awaiting news on this.' She explained that 'some flexibility' may be needed with the resurfacing scheme as they will be dependent on departmental budget under and overspends as well as 'changes in conditions' since the bid was sent to Westminster. Ministers tighten steel safeguards to ward off cheap foreign imports
Ministers have tightened a steel safeguards regime in order to fend off cheap imports. The Department for Business and Trade rejected a trade watchdog's recommended path for restricting the flow of cheap steel from abroad, opting for stronger restraints. Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds said the Government was 'unapologetic in our support for the UK steel sector – it underpins Britain's industrial strength, our national security, and our status as a global power'. Under the new regime, imports of certain categories of steel – including sheet metal and steel bars – will not be allowed to grow beyond 'traditional' trade flows. Steel products imported from Vietnam, South Korea and Algeria will be among those affected by the change, which is aimed at protecting UK steel from unsustainably cheap import prices. Mr Reynolds added: 'These measures back our producers and the thousands of families and communities who rely on steel production in the UK. 'We've taken decisive action to protect the UK market and level the playing field, and we'll go further with our new steel strategy to build a stronger, more competitive future for British steel making central to our plan for change.' Mr Reynolds did however agree with calls from the Trade Remedies Authority to limit countries from carrying over quarterly trade quotas, which would allow them to import more steel in the future after a shortfall. The Business Secretary's moves to protect British steel comes at a fraught time for the domestic industry. The Government has effectively taken over the British Steel plant in Scunthorpe from its Chinese owner Jingye, and has secured a supply of raw materials to maintain production for the foreseeable future. However, the threat of a rise in US tariffs on steel products is looming. US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer agreed in the UK-US trade deal that steel would be one of the areas protected from American tariffs. No deal has yet been finalised to bring down the current 25% tariff on UK steel products to 0%, and if one is not agreed by July 9, British steel could face a 50% levy from the US. Speaking to the PA news agency, Mr Reynolds suggested the negotiations were now being held alongside efforts to prevent the UK from being hit by the US president's so-called reciprocal tariffs. The Business Secretary said: 'I can assure you we're doing everything we can to get a deal as part of the sectoral tariffs. 'It relates to the conversations we are having about the reciprocal tariffs, the 10%. 'It's all part of one negotiation with the US.' The negotiations are 'complex', Mr Reynolds said, adding that sticking points were around the rules of origin, as some steel products are brought into the UK from other countries to be finished.
