The churches are emptying out," asserts that "Islam is the answer for them," and added that "we have bought three churches so far and converted them into mosques." He further said that "100 years ago, they invaded the Muslim world and built missionary schools and destroyed Islamic schools" and that now " and that "today we bring the favor back and turn their churches into mosques."
The imam at the Muslim American Society (MAS) Bronx Muslim Center said in his July 12, 2024 Friday sermon that churches are "losing their congregation and their flock, so much that they had to open the doors for the LGBT." He added that the Christians "have reasons to be jealous of us."
An Islamist influencer told a group of young teen boys at the Dearborn Community Center on October 11, 2024 that "Allah has sent us to these nations to civilize them." He went on to say that "their religions are dying" – so much so that churches "had to change their religion" and "hang the LGBT flags." Allah, he added, "has sent us to guide these people from the darkness into the light." Also, in his December 6, 2024 Friday sermon, Imam Haroon Sait of Charlotte, NC asserted that in 50 years, "Muslims will become the No. 1 religious group compared to Christians." He added that it was the "easiest thing to do" to approach "Christians with the message of Islam."

In his December 20, 2024 Friday sermon at Dar Al-Salam Islamic Center in Westland, Michigan, Imam Abdel-Halim Shaout said that "the Christians celebrate the so-called birth of Jesus, which is a pagan holiday." In an April 19, 2024 lecture in Fort Lauderdale, FL, an Islamic scholar claimed that while "the Jews orchestrated everything against the Muslims" throughout history, it was the Christians "who executed." Allah is angry and upset with the Jews, he said, followed by "the misguided ones" – the Christians, "because they always follow them." He emphasized that "right here, in the country where we live, look what the Zionist Christians are doing."
Ghaith Arodaki, in his December 29, 2023 Friday sermon at the Islamic Center of Frisco, TX, said that five times a day "we recite the Al-Fatiha chapter of the Quran... and at the end, we recite: 'Guide us along the Straight Path, the Path of those You have blessed – not those who have incurred Your wrath, or those who were misguided.'" He added that "those who were misguided' are "said to be the Christians."
In his December 8, 2023 Friday sermon, Imam Hanif Fouse of Philadelphia said that Christians are complicit with, agree with, and support the Jews, with whom Allah is angry because they killed the prophets. The Christians insult Allah because they claim he has a son, he stressed.
In a video posted on YouTube on October 25, 2024 California Pakistani Islamic scholar Qazi Fazlullah quoted the Quran as saying, "Oh believers, do not take the Jews and Christians as allies." He went on to say: "Make them not protectors, or friends, secret keepers, depending on them, or trusting them" because "they are the allies of one another." Befriending them "goes against Islam and Muslims" and is "not allowed," he concluded.
New Jersey imam Taufique Aziz said on April 14, 2020 urged his audience, "Do not take the Jews and Christians as your close friends. This is a command from Allah." No matter "how kind he is," he stressed, "you do not sacrifice your Islam" in such a friendship. In a similar message on March 10, 2020, Philadelphia Muslim scholar Nafis Abu Zayd emphasized to his audience that the "Christians will never be pleased with you unless you follow their way" and that "it is not permissible for believers [Muslims] to take the nonbelievers as friends."

On November 6, 2020, Imam Shaker Elsayed of the well-known Dar Al-Hijra Islamic Center in Virginia discussed the question of why Muslims "are full of hate against the West or Christianity or Judaism." He explained: "Many of the People of the Book – they wish to turn you back as kuffar after you have believed. They want you to be like them. They want you to be a Christian or a Jew."
In a similar vein, Sheikh Abu Usama At-Thahabi said in Orlando, FL on May 17, 2024: "In Islam, we do not resemble the non-Muslims – Jews, Christians, or anybody else." He went on to say that "he [Muhammad] didn't want to be like the Yahud [Jews]. He didn't want to be like the Christians. He didn't want to be like the mushrikoon, the polytheists, the pagans of Mecca. He wanted the Muslims to be unique and distinct."
In his Friday sermon in Union City, NJ on December 15, 2023, Imam Mohamed Moussa said that "we need... to take advantage of" the war following the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel "in order to show the world how false their [Christians'] values are and how these values have discriminated between the blacks and the whites, as well as between different sects within their own [Christian] religion – between the Protestants, the Catholics, and the Orthodox." He then asserted that "humanity can only be saved if the values of Islam rule."

Centuries-old al-Farouq Minaret in Al-Anbar at risk of collapse
Shafaq News – Al-Anbar The historic al-Farouq Minaret in the city of Hit is facing imminent collapse due to severe structural damage, local antiquities officials warned on Monday, citing decades of neglect and lack of scientific restoration. Al-Anbar's Director of Antiquities, Ammar Ali, told Shafaq News that the minaret—believed to predate the Islamic conquests—is suffering from widespread cracks, foundational tilt, and long-standing moisture damage, placing it at serious risk. "The last maintenance effort dates back to 1945 and was carried out by residents using unscientific methods," he said. Originally used as a beacon to guide trade caravans between the Levant and Mesopotamia, the structure was later annexed to a mosque during the caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab and repurposed as a minaret. Ali emphasized that sewage works and accumulated humidity have further deteriorated the minaret's structure, despite its elevated location. He noted that while the State Board of Antiquities has officially requested renovation efforts, the site legally falls under the ownership of the Sunni Endowment Office according to Law No. 55 of 2002, requiring the office to handle restoration under the board's supervision. "Despite repeated promises from the Endowment to fund restoration, no concrete steps have been taken," Ali said. "We are ready to provide full technical oversight, but the ongoing delay in allocating funds remains the main obstacle." 'This monument, which has stood for centuries, now risks collapsing at any moment.' Local activist Ali Ahmed echoed the frustration, accusing relevant institutions of negligence. 'The people of Hit are deeply disappointed. This minaret is part of the city's identity, and despite repeated warnings and official memos, there has been no visible effort to save it,' he told Shafaq News. Ahmed called for an emergency rescue plan led by qualified engineering and heritage experts, urging both the central government and the Sunni Endowment to act before it is too late. The al-Farouq Minaret is one of Al-Anbar's most iconic archaeological landmarks. Dating back to the pre-Islamic era, it functioned as a signal tower for desert caravans before becoming a religious site. It has withstood the test of time, but now stands precariously without modern conservation.

Baksh also declared: 'We're going to flood the streets of America with the Quran. Let America read the Quran. This is the best gift we can give to them.' According to a 2022 report, in 2016 the Foundation's Qur'an distribution arm, the Al‑Furqaan Project, received a $1.6 million donation from the RAF Foundation, which is reportedly linked to Qatar's ruling family. Honoring creation: Mandaeans celebrate "Dehwa Rabba"
Shafaq News – Baghdad Members of Iraq's Mandaean community began observing the rituals of Dehwa Rabba—their most sacred holiday—on Tuesday, but this year's festivities have been suspended due to their overlap with the Islamic month of Muharram, a period of mourning for Shiite Muslims. The Mandaean religious leadership announced the cancellation of all public celebrations, limiting observances to religious rituals and prayers only, out of respect for the memory of Imam Hussein's martyrdom. Speaking to Shafaq News, Sheikh Sattar Jabar al-Hilu, the worldwide head of the Mandaean religion, explained that Dehwa Rabba marks the Mandaean New Year and the creation of the material world. 'In this holiday, the stars and seven planets were formed, and the secrets from which all worlds emerged were sown,' he said. The holiday lasts for seven days and includes 36 hours of complete seclusion. During this time, Mandaeans refrain from all contact with the outside world, avoid flowing water, and prepare by storing water in advance for household use. They are also prohibited from using razors or grooming tools and must take care to avoid any injuries, as bleeding is forbidden during this sacred time. These rules apply to both children and adults. The Mandaeans, one of the oldest monotheistic religions, trace their roots to the prophet Abraham and follow the teachings of John the Baptist. In Iraq, the community has historically lived in the south, near rivers and marshes, due to the essential role of running water in their rituals. Over the years, Iraq's Mandaeans have faced numerous challenges, including displacement and emigration. Many have relocated from the south to the Kurdistan Region, particularly Erbil, where a temple was established to accommodate their religious needs. The city has also become a new center for Mandaean goldsmiths—a traditional craft closely associated with the community.
