Rush Hour 4 Gets Exciting Update From Jackie Chan
Jackie Chan recently spoke to ScreenRant at a red carpet event for his upcoming movie, Karate Kids: Legends, where he talked about the much-anticipated Rush Hour 4.
While Chan urged the makers of Rush Hour 4 to accelerate development on the movie, he also admitted that he was unaware of its current status, saying, 'I don't know. Ask the director, ask the studio, ask the writer. Hurry up! Otherwise, Chris Tucker and me [will be] 100 years old. We'll be old men doing Rush Hour.'
The interviewer further asked him if he wanted to do the project. To this, Chan responded affirmatively and shared the list of movies he would like to do. He said, 'Yes! And I want to do [another] Shanghai Knights, Shanghai Dawn. Shangai Noon, Shanghai Knights, and Shanghai Dawn. The script is still going on. I want to do a Rush Hour 4.'
In 2023, Tucker, who plays James Carter in the franchise, also teased the project and expressed his excitement to work with Chan. He asserted, ''Rush Hour 4,' that's something I definitely will probably drop in there because I love working with Jackie, but I've got some new stuff that I think you're really gonna like. I'm excited about it.' (via Variety)
All three Rush Hour movies were directed by Brett Ratner, but his return to the director's seat for the potential fourth part is uncertain. Ratner is reported to have stepped away from Hollywood in 2018 following a series of misconduct allegations.

Hollywood Icon, 80, Appears in a New Movie With Son After Career Confession
Hollywood Icon, 80, Appears in a New Movie With Son After Career Confession originally appeared on Parade. Michael Douglas said he wouldn't go back to acting unless a 'special' opportunity presented itself – and it looks like the perfect project fell in his lap. The TODAY show shared the first teaser for the upcoming film Looking Through Water, a movie in which Michael, 80, will star alongside his eldest son, Cameron Douglas. In the clip, the Hollywood legend was seen in character as he chatted with a seemingly troubled young boy, who displayed a massive black eye. While sitting in a fishing boat in a pond-like body of water, dramatic clips of the movie flashed on screen, introducing Cameron, 46, to viewers. Looking Through Water follows a family's troubled dynamic, bouncing from one storyline to another – all while intertwined. Michael's character, however, will attempt to repair an estranged relationship with his son while competing in a fishing competition together. Walker Scobell, David Morse, Michael Stahl-David, Ximena Romo and Tamara Tunie will also star in the film. Looking Through Water will premiere in theatres on September 12. Michael and Cameron's onscreen collaboration marks more than two decades since they first co-starred in the 2003 film It Runs in the Family. The Fatal Attraction star welcomed Cameron with ex-wife Diandra Luker on December 13, 1978. Michael later welcomed his youngest children, Dylan Douglas and Carys Douglas, during his marriage to his current wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones. The news of Michael's new movie may come as a shock to some fans, as the Wall Street actor recently shared that he is slowly closing the curtain on his acting career. "I have not worked since 2022 purposefully because I realized I had to stop,' Michael told Variety in July of his battle with stage 4 cancer following his 2010 diagnosis. 'I had been working pretty hard for almost 60 years, and I did not want to be one of those people who dropped dead on the set. I have no real intentions of going back. I say I'm not retired because if something special came up, I'd go back, but otherwise, no." 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Hollywood Icon, 80, Appears in a New Movie With Son After Career Confession first appeared on Parade on Aug 4, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Aug 4, 2025, where it first appeared. Makeup brand Youthforia announces closure 1 year after foundation controversy
Style Youthforia launched back in 2021 and was featured on "Shark Tank." 3:35 Makeup brand Youthforia is shutting down, the company announced in a social media post Monday. "We're closing Youthforia," the company's founder Fiona Co Chan wrote in the announcement. "I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your wonderful support over the past few years. It's been a dream to create such a beautiful brand -- but unfortunately, I've made the hard decision to shut down Youthforia." She added, "I look back at these past few years with such love, and appreciation. THANK YOU for being part of that journey and I appreciate it so much." Chan wrote that Youthforia will hold a final closing sale with all products marked down 50%. In an emailed statement to ABC News, Chan did not specify why the company was closing but reiterated that it was a difficult decision. "My decision to close Youthforia was a tough one -- and heartbreaking one," Chan wrote. "No one prepares you for how much grief you feel when you decide to close down a brand. But starting small businesses, running small businesses, and then deciding to close a small business... all of these different stages are tough, all in different ways. But I'm really grateful for the last four years -- as hard as it was, it was a great journey and I have so many memorable experiences. I'm very appreciative of the last couple of years." "We won't be restocking any of the products again, as we are shutting down," she added. The makeup brand, most known for its color-changing blush oil, launched in 2021, and Chan appeared on season 14 of "Shark Tank" in 2023, pitching Youthforia as a line of plant-based makeup one can wear and even "sleep in." Aside from selling to consumers directly, Youthforia makeup products and accessories were also sold online at Amazon and in stores at Ulta Beauty. Youthforia made headlines over a year ago in May 2024 when beauty influencers criticized the company over the darkest shade of its Date Night foundation, likening it to black face-paint and stating the foundation didn't blend into their skin. Chan first responded to the criticism in a now-deleted video, saying the initial launch was a "proof of concept" to see if the foundation would be a successful product and then later issued another video of apology, adding that more foundation shades were in development.
