NTR Collector highlights role of yoga in stress relief, better decision making
Speaking at a special yoga session held on BRTS Road near Sarada College as part of the month-long Yogandhra campaign, he urged government staff to incorporate yoga into their daily routine for better physical and mental health.
'It is natural to face stress while delivering public services. Yoga offers a powerful means to overcome it and deliver better results,' he said. 'Every government office should have space for yoga practice.' He added that under the guidance of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Yogandhra aims to train 15 lakh people across in NTR, with government employees playing a key role. The event was organised by the District AYUSH Department and the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.
Leaders and members of APNGO and ICASA associations joined the Collector in yoga session, which marked the second day of theme-based yoga and the fifth day of celebrations.
APNGO State General Secretary A Vidyasagar described yoga and meditation as India's invaluable heritage, now embraced worldwide. He announced immediate financial support of `10,000 to trainer B Sirisha for promoting artistic yoga among underprivileged students.

TTD board approves cybersecurity lab to protect devotees from fraud
Agency: PTI Tirupati, Jul 22 (PTI) The TTD trust board, headed by chairman B R Naidu, on Tuesday approved the establishment of a cybersecurity lab to protect devotees from online fraud and sanctioned an allowance for unemployed vedic reciters, among other decisions. The board sanctioned a grant of Rs 2.16 crore to be disbursed through the Endowments Department as unemployment allowance to vedic scholars. Approval has been given to set up a cyber security lab to prevent Srivari devotees from falling prey to cyber fraud. As part of vedic protection, Rs 2.16 crore from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams funds has been granted to the Endowments Department for distribution among unemployed vedic reciters, said an official release. Based on directions from the Endowments Department, the board also decided to classify Srivari temples and bhajan mandirs built in SC, ST, and BC areas under the SRIVANI Trust into three categories. These will receive grants of Rs 10 lakh, Rs 15 lakh, and Rs 20 lakh respectively, the release added. The board also resolved to conduct a feasibility study on setting up fully equipped rest centres (lounges) across Tirumala for the convenience of devotees. It further approved the formation of a sub-committee to act on the recommendations of an expert panel regarding the construction of Srivari temples overseas to spread the deity's glory. This initiative follows directions from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to establish such temples in various countries. Additionally, the board approved the construction of a new administrative building in Tirumala to bring all departments under one roof and streamline operations. Centre to share load with Andhra govt in DBT scheme to help Totapuri mango farmers
The Centre Monday approved implementation of Price Deficiency Payment (PDP) under Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for Totapuri mango in Andhra Pradesh during the marketing season 2025-26. It has come as a relief to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP), an ally of the BJP as part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at both the Centre and the state. The move is aimed at benefiting farmers facing difficulties in getting better prices for their produce due to 'market fluctuations' across three districts—Chittoor, Tirupati, and Annamayya districts—where production of Totapuri mango in the current season is estimated to be about 6.5 lakh metric tonnes. As per the order issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, the Centre will provide financial support to the Andhra Pradesh government to intervene in the market. The Centre has fixed the Market Intervention Price (MIP) of Totapuri mango at Rs 1,490.73 per quintal. If the selling price of Totapuri mango is below this level, then both the Centre and the state will pay up to Rs 372.68 per quintal (25 per cent of Rs 1,490.73 per quintal). The difference of payment between selling price and the MIP will be paid to farmers through Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) and the Centre and state will share the cost in the ratio of 50:50. However, the support will be restricted to one-fourth (1.62 lakh metric tonnes) of the total estimated production of 6.5 lakh metric tonnes. A Committee will decide the daily selling price of Totapuri mango constituted under the chairmanship of principal secretary (agriculture/horticulture/cooperation) of the Andhra government, as per the order. The implementation period of the PIP under the MIS of Totapuri Mango in Andhra Pradesh for the 2025-26 season will be 30 days from the date of the first transaction after the order is issued. Welcoming the Centre's move, Minister of State for Rural Development, Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani said, 'This landmark intervention will shield farmers from price crashes, offer fair and assured returns, and bring direct financial relief to thousands of growers across the state—at a time when market uncertainties often threaten rural livelihoods.' The agriculture ministry's move came days after CM Naidu wrote to Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan seeking Rs 2 per kg support from the Centre for Totapuri mango farmers. 'Due to market fluctuations and distress among mango farmers, the State Government has taken a proactive measure and announced an additional support price of Rs. 4/- per kg (Gol share: Rs. 2/- + GoAP share: Rs. 2/-) to safeguard the interest of Totapuri mango growers and requested the traders and processors to pay Rs. 8/- per kg, ensuring an effective procurement price of Rs. 12/- per kg to the farmers,' Naidu wrote to Shivraj on June 23. He requested the Center to sanction and release an amount of Rs 130 crore towards additional support price at Rs 2 per kg for the procurement of Totapuri mangoes, contributing to the total support price of Rs 260 crore, as the state government is committed to bear another Rs 130 crore for this initiative. 'This intervention from the Central Government will go a long way in alleviating the distress of Totapuri mango growing farmers and ensuring price stability,' he wrote. Promote electronics units in Rayalaseema: Andhra CM
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has asserted that Andhra Pradesh is an ideal destination for production of electronics components. Reviewing the Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy 4.0 at the State Secretariat on Monday, Naidu said Rayalaseema is an apt location for setting up the units. Opportunities are abundant in Sri City, Hindupur, Kopparthy and other places in Rayalaseema for manufacturing of electronics components. Officials should attract investments in a big way for setting up electronics manufacturing units in Rayalaseema, he said. The new policy aims to attract investments in the electronics sector during 2025-30. Officials informed Naidu that the policy is designed to reduce electronics imports, boost domestic production, and focus on exports. They revealed that India imported electronics circuit boards worth USD 70 billion last year, highlighting the sector's immense demand. Naidu stressed that self-reliance in electronics and achieving 'Make in India' targets be prioritised. AP should launch large-scale manufacturing initiatives to meet global demand, and create its brand for these products, the Chief Minister said.
