There's More to the Danish 'Fashion' Band Fame Hunter Than Their Glam Style
Fame Hunter is an electro-pop act with danceable and infectious tunes sung in falsetto. Sonne and Vaupel have quippily described their sound in a kind of word picture as 'the sonic equivalent of smudged eyeliner and cigarette smoke.' Visuals, on which Sonne works in tandem with Jørgensen, are so integral to Fame Hunter's core, that when I got the front people on the phone, one of my first questions was if they were a fashion band—apart from the fact that they premiered 'Disappear' at Nicklas Skovgaard's fall 2025 show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. 'Yes and no,' said Sonne, 'because there is something about the words 'fashion band' that gives me the icks. But then again, I'm also like, 'Fuck, yeah, we're a fashion band.'
Fame Hunter's two leads come from very different backgrounds. Vaupel studied sound design and was in the music industry releasing cassette tapes under various aliases. Sonne was trained as a dancer before getting into modeling and art direction and had never sung before. While they both embrace OTT glamour, you might say Sonne is the Barbie to Vaupel's Bratz doll. 'I really love the whole princess vibe meets the gothic vampire chick,' notes Vaupel, a trans woman who says 'femininity is super important for me.'
Blonde, with a penchant for big hair and sunglasses, Sonne has an androgynous style that leans into the ladylike and pastels. When we Zoom, he's wearing a robin's-egg blue Miu Miu coat with a prim bow, while the dark-haired Vaupel is in a printed black metal tee cut to reveal her shoulder, with black lace tights. Sonne often wears Skovgaard's poufs, while Vaupel is partial to the work of Alectra Rothschild/Masculina.

Lindsay Lohan's Red-Carpet Accessory Was a Wink to 'Freaky Friday' Fans
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Lindsay Lohan has been in her fair share of teen classics, from Mean Girls to Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, but she seemed to be channeling something more like Pretty in Pink with her latest red-carpet look. On Tuesday night in Los Angeles, at the world premiere of her new sequel, Freakier Friday, Lohan stepped out in a blush-colored princess gown befitting a frequent Disney collaborator. The sparkling Miu Miu design featured a heart-shaped bust, with material wrapped like bandages around Lohan's waist. Then, the fabric cascaded into a flowing, pleated skirt with a delicate scalloped hem that grazed the floor. All across the dress, tiny silver rhinestones dotted the material in lines, following the course of the fabric and slowly tapering off as they traveled down the skirt. These same gems made up the silvery spaghetti straps, and they matched Lohan's jewelry, courtesy of Lorraine Schwartz, which consisted of an intricate princess necklace and chandelier earrings. Perhaps the best part though was Lohan's nod to her Freakier Friday character, Anna Coleman. To go with her dress, the young mom carried a karaoke microphone clutch from Judith Leiber, which was coated in silver crystals (and retails for $4,995). Fans of the original will recall that Lohan's character is part of a band called Pink Slip (and come to think of it, the color of the dress was likely no coincidence either.) As she walked the purple carpet, Lohan reunited with Freaky Friday cast members who reprise their roles in the sequel—like Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray. But then, fans were treated to a surprise when she also had a mini reunion with two of her former Parent Trap costars: Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix. The moment could have only been made better by an impromptu performance of 'Ultimate.' How Lindsay Lohan Reimagined the Princess Look in Miu Miu for the ‘Freakier Friday' Premiere
Lindsay Lohan had a Disney princess moment in a blush pink custom Miu Miu dress for the premiere of 'Freakier Friday' in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Lohan's custom gown featured a fitted bodice and a V-shaped neckline. The dress included a cinched waist, which flared out into a flowing skirt. Throughout the soft pink shade of the dress were silver sparkling elements that added a touch of whimsy and a princess-like sensibility to the ensemble. The straps of the Miu Miu look were also encrusted with silver gems. Among other accessories, Lohan nodded to the original 'Freaky Friday' with her purse, which carried a Judith Leiber silver microphone clutch. The purse was crafted with gradient flatback crystals on the bold dome and the stem, covered in silver crystal in a geometric pattern with round crystals for a unique web effect. When it came to her glam, Lohan turned to hairstylist Danielle Priano, who gave the actress' blond tresses a soft wave and styled her hair with a middle part. Lohan's makeup, by artist Ash K. Holm, featured bold brows, lined eyes and a soft, glossy lip. Lohan's look was curated by stylist Andrew Mukamal, who's also collaborated with Vanessa Kirby during her 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' press tour. Lohan's Disney princess-inspired gown coincides with a recent collaboration between Disney and Coperni. The Parisian brand's spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection took place at Disneyland Paris, with cofounders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant crafting a collection partially inspired by the company. 'It's probably the biggest project of our life,' Vaillant said at the time. Disney's collaborations with other brands extends well beyond fashion. The 101-year-old entertainment company's Disney princesses, in particular, were previously highlighted with Bath & Body Works and Aldo collaborations, among others. Other Disney stars have also followed suit with similar princess-inspired dressing. Rachel Zegler, who stars in the live-action iteration of 'Snow White,' wore gowns by Elie Saab and Dior during her press tour for the film. 'Freakier Friday,' starring Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, is a sequel to the 2003 film 'Freaky Friday.' The movie follows mother-daughter pair Tess and Anna, played by Curtis and Lohan respectively, as they find themselves in the midst of yet another identity crisis similar to the one they experienced 22 years ago. The film hits theaters Aug. 8. Lindsay Lohan Had a Surprise ‘Parent Trap' Reunion at ‘Freakier Friday' Premiere
Lindsay Lohan may be reprising one of her many iconic roles alongside Jamie Lee Curtis in her latest movie, Freakier Friday, but the Y2K screen queen just had another surprise reunion on the red carpet. During the movie's premiere on July 22, LiLo ran into her co-stars from The Parent Trap, Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix. Let's have a moment of silence for this legendary lineup in our good year, 2025: Aaaand again in video format: Of course, Lisa and Elaine, who have remained close friends since The Parent Trap dropped in 1998, pulled up to the Freakier Friday premiere to support Lindsay. Lisa, who is now known for her role as Melissa Schemmenti on Abbott Elementary, praised the actors when she reposted a sweet image of the trio on her Instagram Stories, writing, 'So proud of these gorgeous ladies.' As for Elaine, she playfully reposted a fan's reaction to their reunion with the caption, 'This is important to millennials everywhere,' and reminded us to reapply our retinol treatments when she whipped out these pics with IMDb: In case you need a refresher, Lindsay played the dual breakout role of twins Hallie and Annie in the remake of the 1961 movie when she was 12. Lisa played The Parent Trap's fan-favorite housekeeper Chessy. Elaine took on the role of Meredith Blake, a young socialite vying for Annie and Hallie's dad and his riches. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Elaine shared that Freakier Friday's director, Nisha Ganatra, hit her up to be in the movie, which happened to be the first time she saw Lindsay since the '90s. 'I got to physically see her, and we spent a lot of time together on set, hanging out, reminiscing, and catching up. Now, we're better about staying in touch with one another,' she shared, explaining that they didn't stay in touch after starring in The Parent Trap due to their age gap at the time. Elaine continued, 'She lives on the other side of the world and has a family and is busy. We both have full lives, but particularly through social media and texting, we're staying in touch, which is quite lovely. I'm so happy for her and where she is in her life. It's nice, in these new chapters of our lives, to be in contact.' Freakier Friday hits theaters August 8, nearly 22 years after the first movie came out in 2003. Get tickets to 'Freakier Friday'
