The candid moment, likely taken during a family vacation, shows a younger Priyanka with her dad, a glimpse into a simpler, joyful time. Over the years, Priyanka has been candid about the deep pain of losing her father and how his passing shaped her.
During the Red Sea International Film Festival, Priyanka had opened up about how she returned to work just four days after his funeral. She was about to begin filming Mary Kom and recalled, 'So, I went back to work four days after his funeral because I know that's what my dad wanted me to do, and I put all my grief into those fight scenes."
In an earlier episode of the Read the Room podcast, she had spoken about how the grief has become a constant in her life. 'After my dad passed away, I came to a slow but steady conclusion that the kind of pain would never go away. It's your companion… There will be days when it comes out in a biggish way and wants to stay over for dinner or maybe a week, and there will be days when you don't even remember about it until you see a photo…"
On the work front, Priyanka is all set to headline the action-thriller Heads of State opposite John Cena and Idris Elba, which premieres on Amazon Prime Video on July 2. She also has the period drama The Bluff in the pipeline, followed by the second season of Citadel and S S Rajamouli's much-awaited film SSMB29 with Mahesh Babu.
