Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper James Beadle joins Birmingham City on loan
He will have another campaign in the Championship to aid his development after helping England under-21s win the European Championships in Slovakia last month.
Beadle, 20, has spent the past 18 months in the second tier on loan to Sheffield Wednesday in successive seasons.
Brighton's technical director David Weir said: 'This is another good loan opportunity for James at a club who won promotion last season and will be looking to have another successful campaign in the Championship.
'Pathway development manager Gordon Greer and his team will monitor James's progress and we wish him well for the new season at St Andrew's.'

Beadle started all six games for England's juniors at the Euros, culminating in Saturday's 3-2 win in the final after extra time for Lee Carsley's side against Germany.
Since joining Brighton from Charlton Athletic in January 2022, Beadle has stepped up the levels following loans to Crewe in League Two in 2022-23 and Oxford United in League One the following season.

Netherlands UEFA Women's Euro 2025 Preview Previous Euro Appearances: 5 Best Finish: Champions (2017) Group: Netherlands is in Group D along with Wales, England and France What Stands Out: There's drama going on with this team, too. While the situation could make for some awkward press conferences during the tournament, the Dutch will try to block out the noise. Top Players To Watch: Danielle van de Donk is a legend on this team. The 33-year-old midfielder helped the Netherlands win the European Championship in 2017 before leading the squad to the World Cup final in 2019. She just made a move from Lyon to the London City Lionesses and while van de Donk is synonymous with Orange Leeuwinnen, this could potentially be her last major tournament … unless she can hold on for the 2027 World Cup. Keep An Eye On: Wieke Kaptein is a 19-year-old midfielder who has worked her way into the lineup at Chelsea. Kaptein is an exciting young talent who is also coming off a successful season in which she helped her club win the domestic treble and make a run to the Champions League semifinals.
