Savad Sha, ‘hailed' by men's rights activists, arrested again
Savad, of Vadakara, was arrested on Friday based on a complaint filed by a woman that she was molested in a Malappuram-bound KSRTC bus on June 14. It was exactly two years ago that Savad was arrested by the police based on a video posted by a woman on social media.
She had alleged that while travelling from Thrissur to Ernakulam, Savad exposed himself inside the tightly packed bus on the move and engaged in lewd sexual acts. The issue became a major debate in the state as men's rights activists supported Savad.
They alleged that she was trying to get followers and taking advantage of the laws. In the latest case, Savad was remanded by the court for 14 days.

Suicide bid at Central stn stalls Metro services for 1 hour
Kolkata: Metro services on the North-South (Blue) line were disrupted for an hour on Saturday following a suicide bid at Central station. Though truncated services were operated, several commuters were hassled as no trains were available in the Maidan-Girish Park section until 12.55 pm. Around 11.55 am, a man jumped before a Dakshineswar-bound train at the Central station, a Metro Railway spokesperson said. The third rail, which supplies electricity to the rakes, was switched off to rescue the man from the tracks and give him medical aid. "Truncated services were run between Maidan and New Garia (Kavi Subhas) stations and between Girish Park and Dakshineswar stations for an hour," the Metro official said. Angry over mom cooking okra, minor flees home
Nagpur: Angry over his mother cooking okra, a 17-year-old boy from Kotwali fled home at around 11pm on July 10. The mother filed a missing complaint when the boy didn't return home till late night. When efforts to locate him failed, a case was registered at Kotwali police station for kidnapping, suspecting abduction by unknown persons. CCTV footage showed the boy reaching the railway station and boarding a Delhi-bound train. The minor's father informed cops that his friends and relatives live in Delhi. After being contacted by the cops, the relatives located the boy in Delhi and sent him back to Nagpur. After his return, the cops counseled the boy before handing him to Kotwali Police to complete legal formalities.
