MAFS star Davina Rankin reveals surprising secret about her sex life after split with husband... as she prepares to commune with shamans in the Amazon jungle

Daily Mail2 days ago
Married at First Sight star Davina Rankin has divulged a very surprising detail about her sex life.
Davina, 33, appeared on the fifth season of the Nine reality juggernaut, where she failed to find love with groom Ryan Gallagher.
She revealed that she had been celibate for more than two-and-a-half years, following her split with husband Jaxon Manuel.
Speaking to the Courier Mail, she admitted that her celibacy was only supposed to be short term, but it has turned into somewhat of a lifestyle shift.
'I originally thought, one year — that's enough, right? But I just kept going. It felt so good,' she admitted.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
With the glare of reality TV cameras behind her, Davina has reinvented herself as a wellness influencer, and host of the podcast The Upgrade Edit.
She also hosts a series of wellness retreats in Byron Bay and Bali, and is gearing up to head into the Amazon jungle on a multi-day Ayahuasca retreat where she will be guided by shamans.
She told the publication that her spiritual pilgrimage could be just the thing that will see her 'explore love again.'
'I've been celibate for over two-and-a-half years, and I've loved doing this chapter for myself,' she said.
'But, I think after the jungle – after that experience – I'll have the capacity to find love again.'
Davina added that while the Amazon trip came as a 'surprise', it was one that the former reality star welcomed.
'I thought I'd be going to Tuscany, sipping wine,' she said.
'Instead, I've been invited to a spiritual centre in Peru. It's wild, but it feels right.'
Ayahuasca is a psychoactive brew made by combining the Banisteriopsis caapi vine with a plant containing dimethyltryptamine.
Traditionally used by Indigenous cultures in the Amazon and Orinoco basins as well as in shamanism, its sale is generally restricted due to toxicity.
Davina's celibacy admission comes after she split with husband Jaxon Manuel, with whom she shares daughter Mila-Mae, five, back in 2023.
She issued a statement confirming the break-up 'speculation' after fans noticed she had quietly unfollowed her husband on Instagram.
'Relationships are hard,' the reality star wrote. 'Given the recent speculation, I feel like I need to confirm that Jax and I have separated.
'I will at some point discuss this further, but my current focus is learning to navigate my new normal while providing a seamless and loving transition into co-parenting for our daughter.'
Opening up about the painful chapter in her life in June 2023, Davina confessed the reality of the break-up was 'heartbreaking'.
'We were just different people from the ones who tied the knot all those years ago,' she said this week on her podcast Who? Me.
'The only thing of essence now is that we can morph into the best versions of ourselves for our sweet daughter,' she explained.
The former couple had been married for less than a year when they called it quits.
Despite the amicable nature of their break-up, Davina confessed the road hasn't been all smooth sailing.
'This journey has been one of the most gruelling challenges I've ever faced. I have a whole family to consider and the desire to keep everyone happy,' she said.
Davina, who was paired with Ryan Gallagher on the 2018 season of MAFS, courted controversy on air after becoming involved in a cheating scandal with groom Dean Wells.

Justin Bieber shares sweaty 'detox' selfie amid fan concern over his wellbeing

Justin Bieber has sparked fan concern once again with another cryptic Instagram post. On Sunday, the Peaches singer, 31, shared five photos and captioned them 'Detoxxxxxxxxxxx.' He posted four extreme close ups of his face with a towel over his head. Justin was sweating profusely in the snaps and had visible beads of sweat running down his face. The Baby hitmaker appeared to be forcing a smirk in the images. The fifth photo was a shot, taken from a highway, of a Honda CRV with European license plates and a sign indicating a 100 kilometers per mile speed limit, which is 62 miles per hour. The definition of detox is to 'abstain from or rid the body of toxic or unhealthy substances' or 'a program or facility for assisting a person undergoing detoxification.' He did not clarify what he was detoxing from, but detoxes and cleanses can also be done to remove toxins from your body, lose weight, or just promote wellness. Forms of detoxes include fasting, drinking only juices, using dietary supplements or using a sauna. Fans expressed their concern in the comments section. A user going by @momofdogz wrote, 'Dear Justin, as a Canadian mama please do not go down the Brittney Spears road. 'You are a smart, talented, loving young man and you are being steered down the wrong path by people who do not care about you. 'Come home for a while, come back to Canada. Go rent a cottage in lake country with your wife, son and family that care for you while you focus on your mental health and physical health. They concluded, 'You are a good kid who deserves better than you are allowing yourself.' 'I pray for you often… I am not even familiar with your music but you pop into my spirit a lot and so I pray,' user, @i_amkc_wilbournsnapp, wrote. And @starrtender408 shared, 'We miss you Justin. Come back to us. You're so strong, you got this. Do not lose hope in yourself, cuz we're not.' While the former child star has been frantically posting a barrage of online content in recent weeks, it's been reported that the Biebers' marriage is under a lot of stress. 'Justin's been a hard person to deal with recently because of what he's going through,' a source dished to Us Weekly earlier this week. 'It's been really hard on her.' The person added: 'Family issues have clouded her success.' Hailey recently sold Rhode Beauty to e.l.f. for $1 billion and will remain with Rhode as chief creative officer and strategic advisor to E.l.f. Beauty. But according to the Instagram pictures, which Bieber spread out through multiple posts, the spouses are sticking together. 'Justin's going through a difficult time, and Hailey is giving him room to get himself back on track. 'He's doing his best, but it's tough,' a second source told the outlet. The second insider claimed the pair have been enduring more 'ups and downs' than usual and 'things have been very tense in the last month.' 'Hailey's worried about Justin, especially with a [baby at home]. He hasn't been down like this in quite some time, so there's concern,' it was revealed. As Justin continues to spark concern online over his bizarre social media posts, Hailey is said to feel frustrated over his 'loose cannon' antics. But, ultimately, the person close to the couple said: 'She knows that's part of the industry and who she's married to.' 'They don't talk about divorce,' the first source insisted. The second insider confirmed the odds of them calling it quits 'are very slim, especially because of their faith.' 'Faith is a big part of their life,' the source said. 'They believe they are soulmates and meant for each other.' 'They'll do anything to make it work,' the second source emphasized. 'They are going to get through it.'

'Surprisingly spacious' bag the perfect size for Ryanair's new hand luggage rules cut by 54%

The airline has announced a change to its free cabin bag rules and this Aerolite one gives maximum space while staying within the limits Ryanair has said it is increasing the size of its free cabin bag meaning passengers can now take a slightly larger one on board. The current dimensions for a personal bag is 40 x 25 x 20cm and will give way to a bigger carry on bag with measurements of 40 x 30 x 20cm 'within weeks', the airline has confirmed. It's a bit of good news for passengers of the budget airline as the volume capacity of the personal bag they are allowed for free will increase from around 20 litres to 24 litres too. It means some more room to cram in holiday essentials without paying a fee. Customers of the carrier will know it is one of the stricter airlines when it comes to hand luggage rules. Those who have tried to take a slightly bigger bag onto the plane have often been hit with charges. Those who have bags that are sized within the current measurements can, of course, still use them. Ryanair say they are currently changing their airport bag sizers and that passengers should be able to take advantage of the rule change within a 'matter of weeks'. If you want the maximum amount of space in your hand luggage you may want to buy a bag which is the optimal size - one which measures exactly 40 x 30 x 20cm. After all, if you're heading away for a short trip and don't want to pay for hold luggage, every inch of space counts. Aerolite have a holdall which is currently less than half price and will conform perfectly to the new size regulations. Selling at £13.59, down from £29.99, buyers can save 54 per cent on this hand luggage. Featuring a lockable main compartment, the bag also has a front, zipped pocket for easy access to important documents, earphones and electronic devices, it can be worn over the shoulder or mounted on a suitcase for easy transportation. Amazon also have some options to suit the upcoming Ryanair dimensions. Its Spaher rucksack measures 40 x 30 x 20cm and is reduced to £31.19, down from £35.99, at the moment. It comes in grey and beige, which cost more, but the black option, which is reduced, has the added benefit of including a USB charging port so you can charge on the go. And if you are after something with wheels, the hard shelled Cabin Max Anode could be the answer. Amazon has it for £39.95, but it is the exact dimensions for the new Ryanair sizing and fits underneath the seat too. It also comes in a range of colours and can be wheeled or even worn across the body. If The Aerolite holdall is what you're after, rest assured it is also compatible with lots of other airlines including Wizz Air, EasyJet and Virgin among others. But it is now the perfect size for all Ryanair flights. It's gathered a handful of reviews and has a star rating of 4.2 out of five. Customers said it was 'sturdy' and 'well made'. One added: "Surprisingly spacious bag. Good value and well made. Fits perfectly under the seat of budget airline seats, with room to spare, " with another adding: "Minimal weight, yet still pretty strong. A good purchase." One buyer was disappointed with the strap, which is said to be cushioned to relieve shoulder aches and pains, however saying: "The strap isn't as comfortable as I expected it to be."

Showing off her enviable lashes, Princess revealed to fans what brand she used to get her "natural and fluffy" look. Acting as the crown jewel of her eye makeup ahead of her 18th birthday celebration, Princess showed fans that she'd been using lengthening eyelash clusters from Eylure, a brand touted as the UK's No.1 when it comes to fake lashes. And in case you're wondering how to copy Princess' look, these lashes are not just affordable - they're also on Amazon. Normally retailing for £8 for a pack of 36 clusters, in measurements 8mm, 10mm and 12mm, this multipack is now available on Amazon for the reduced price of £6.60 thanks to this early Prime Day deal. If you prefer to shop elsewhere, you can pick up the same pack from Claire's for £7.50, Boots for £7 or for £8 from Lookfantastic. Promising to deliver a fluffed-up look, these cluster false lashes are reusable up to five times and come with an eighteen-hour hold glue, for even the most dramatic to simple looks that last all day or night. Unlike full false lashes, these fluffy cluster lashes offer the chance to completely customise your lash look. They're versatile in the styles they can create and are perfect for above or under-lash applications. Letting you design a style that's uniquely yours, Princess' loved lashes are perfect for a half lash or adding length to the outer corner, depending on the look you're going for. Touted as super easy to apply and comfortable to wear for long stretches, these lashes are sure to transform your eye makeup with ease. Whether you're heading off to celebrate a grand occasion, going into the office or just running errands, these lash clusters can seamlessly complete any full-face and stick with you all day. Handmade and reusable, every lash pack contains up to five applications and comes with latex-free lash glue, which is guaranteed to last up to eighteen hours and be gentle on your own lashes when it comes to removal. And it's not just Princess who's loving these cult-favourite lashes, as plenty of 5-star reviews pour in. One buyer beams: "I've tried a lot of false lashes over the years, but Eylure has truly earned a permanent spot in my beauty routine. Whether you're going for a natural daytime look or full-on glam, Eylure offers a wide range of styles that cater to every occasion. What I Love: Easy Application: The lashes come with a high-quality adhesive that makes application quick and mess-free—even for beginners; Comfortable Wear: They're lightweight and flexible, so they sit comfortably on the lash line without poking or lifting; Reusable: With proper care, I've been able to reuse a pair up to 5 times, which makes them super cost-effective; Natural Look: Even the more dramatic styles manage to look elegant rather than over-the-top." Further praise comes from this customer who gushes: "Absolute bargain. These are really good quality, great style and easy to apply. The glue is good and sticks quick and doesnt dry up in the tube the second you use it. The lash style is more subtle than some but gives a really flirty / sexy eye look that i find looks good on most." And a third chimes in: "I used the glue that came with the lashes and it lasts all day without irritating my eyes or making them go bloodshot (certain products do that and it's really annoying). They look realistic and subtle, and I've been able to reuse them a few times without them starting to look tacky or fall apart. They're soft, flexible, and not uncomfortable. The only thing I'd change is the packaging because it looks really cheap, but otherwise I really like them."
