'Significant seizures' of hard drugs after police raids in Llandudno

Police have made "significant seizures" of hard drugs following raids in Llandudno. Cash was also recovered, after warrants were executed at two addresses in the area, with three people under investigation for Class A drug supply.
It comes as a new 'Clear Hold Build' policing team - made up of one sergeant and four officers, with another four set to join the team imminently, is launched to target anti-social behaviour and repeat offenders in the West Conwy area.
A North Wales Police statement said: "Warrants executed at two addresses in the Llandudno area have resulted in significant seizures of Class A drugs and cash.
"Officers from the NPT [Neighbourhood Policing Team] and Clear, Hold, Build team conducted the warrants yesterday morning (Tuesday, 1 July), with valuable support from the Dog Unit. Mobile phones and an assortment of drug paraphernalia were also seized from the properties.
"As a result of yesterday's proactive warrants, three individuals are currently under investigation for Class A drug supply. The seizures made by attending officers are the latest in a series of co-ordinated drug warrants in the West Conwy area."
Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan, who leads the Clear, Hold, Build initiative for West Conwy, said: 'We will continue to target crimes which matter to people and will continue to listen to concerns.
'This targeted policing strategy reflects our determination to disrupt the flow of harmful and illegal drugs that devastate lives and communities.
'We continue to take a firm stance against drug supply and the harm it causes. Anyone seeking to profit from this kind of criminality should be aware—we are actively pursuing you and will work to bring you before the courts.
'Our efforts are not only focused on removing offenders from our streets but also on supporting those affected by addiction, safeguarding our communities, and strengthening public confidence.
'We fully understand the far-reaching impact of drugs—not only on individuals who use them, but also on families, young people, and innocent members of the public who may be affected by the violence and disruption linked to drug crime.'
Police also say the Clear Hold Build team has also arrested offenders for offences such as stalking and harassment, public order, domestic violence-related assault, drug driving, burglary, breach of restraining order and criminal damage. Arrests linked to high-value retail thefts across Conwy and Denbighshire have also been made, whereby the thefts involved stolen items in excess of £1,000.
A West Conwy Police statement added: "Anti-social behaviour is also being targeted, and youths have been taken home to their parents. Three youths have also been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and burglary. Six fail to appear/recall to prison arrests have been carried out by the team along with 25 stop searches.
"Officers have been involved with three drugs warrants – the most recent executed at an address in Llanfairfechan whereby drugs, cash and mobile phones were seized. One male was arrested, and he has since been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue. They have also been involved in a joint drugs operation with British Transport Police colleagues."
