'Significant seizures' of hard drugs after police raids in Llandudno

More info Police have made "significant seizures" of hard drugs following raids in Llandudno. Cash was also recovered, after warrants were executed at two addresses in the area, with three people under investigation for Class A drug supply. It comes as a new 'Clear Hold Build' policing team - made up of one sergeant and four officers, with another four set to join the team imminently, is launched to target anti-social behaviour and repeat offenders in the West Conwy area. A North Wales Police statement said: "Warrants executed at two addresses in the Llandudno area have resulted in significant seizures of Class A drugs and cash. "Officers from the NPT [Neighbourhood Policing Team] and Clear, Hold, Build team conducted the warrants yesterday morning (Tuesday, 1 July), with valuable support from the Dog Unit. Mobile phones and an assortment of drug paraphernalia were also seized from the properties. "As a result of yesterday's proactive warrants, three individuals are currently under investigation for Class A drug supply. The seizures made by attending officers are the latest in a series of co-ordinated drug warrants in the West Conwy area." 'This targeted policing strategy reflects our determination to disrupt the flow of harmful and illegal drugs that devastate lives and communities. 'We continue to take a firm stance against drug supply and the harm it causes. Anyone seeking to profit from this kind of criminality should be aware—we are actively pursuing you and will work to bring you before the courts. Police also say the Clear Hold Build team has also arrested offenders for offences such as stalking and harassment, public order, domestic violence-related assault, drug driving, burglary, breach of restraining order and criminal damage. Arrests linked to high-value retail thefts across Conwy and Denbighshire have also been made, whereby the thefts involved stolen items in excess of £1,000. A West Conwy Police statement added: "Anti-social behaviour is also being targeted, and youths have been taken home to their parents. Three youths have also been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and burglary. Six fail to appear/recall to prison arrests have been carried out by the team along with 25 stop searches. "Officers have been involved with three drugs warrants – the most recent executed at an address in Llanfairfechan whereby drugs, cash and mobile phones were seized. One male was arrested, and he has since been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue. They have also been involved in a joint drugs operation with British Transport Police colleagues." North Wales Police have clamped down on crime in Bangor over the last four months and say they are now seeing results. It comes after the force launched a plan called Clear Hold Build in March. North Wales Police said data collected since the beginning of March has revealed that reports of knife crime are down by 50 per cent and reported incidents of anti-social behaviour are down by 7.8 per cent. The number of people being charged or given out of court disposals following a crime has increased, including 22.3pc more positive results following a shoplifting incident and nearly 43pc more people being dealt with for carrying a knife. Four men arrested in Kettering as police carry out drug searches
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after police carried out drug Police said officers from Kettering's neighbourhood policing team carried out four warrants on the Highfield estate on Monday. The force said they seized Class A and B drugs, weapons, and cash from the properties, with four men arrested and later released on bail pending investigations. Sgt Jay Cheema said: "This was a great result and a really positive start to the 'clear' phase of our work on the Highfield estate." The enforcement was part of an initiative to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the town. Police said they were working with North Northamptonshire Council and other organisations to carry out the Clear Hold Build method. Sgt Cheema added: "It's clear that drug dealing and supply and violent crime is a real concern to people and we are determined to identify and deal with those committing these crimes."A 41-year-old man from Kettering was arrested on suspicion of the supply of Class A and B drugs, money laundering and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
