A BIG Brother legend has finally been ordained as a deacon after swapping fame for the church.
Series seven runner-up Glyn Wise, 37, has been working towards this moment for five years after time spent in China made him reconsider his life.

Last month he graduated from Bible College where he spent three years studying for a theology degree. Five weeks later, he is officially a vicar.
Today, he confirmed the news, writing on Instagram: "This is Rev Glyn - I'm coming to get you!
"Day 1 as an official Rev! Hard work, praying & studying has paid off - 'With God all things are possible' Math 19: 26.
"Looking forward to follow in the footsteps of the disciples in the book of Acts, spreading the good word across the nations!"
Glyn shared a video from his ordination ceremony inside St Asaph Cathedral, North Wales, as he was made a member of the clergy.
The work of a deacon focuses on spreading and serving the Church in poor and marginalised communities.
Glyn's next stage of training to become a priest will see him based in the Aled Mission Area around Old Colwyn and Betws yn Rhos, according to the diocese of St Asaph.
He has already completed a 770km pilgrimage to the iconic Santiago de Compostela in Spain, believed to be the burial site of the apostle St James, as part of his faith journey.
DIVINE INTERVENTION
Religion has always played a big part in Glyn's life and previously told how he "prayed my way onto Big Brother".
Speaking on This Morning in 2022, he said: 'I grew up in a religious family and I prayed my way onto Big Brother.
Pete, Glyn and Victor appear on Big Brother 5 as they reunite 17 years after show
"I was asking God can you please just get me into Big Brother.
'I was 16 thinking there must be so much more to life, life is so predestined, school then university and I wanted something so different for me.
'Big Brother was what I wanted and it changed everything.'
Previously, he told how he counts Hollywood actor and Wrexham AFC co-owner Ryan Reynolds as one of the congregation at his local church in North Wales.
After dropping out of the limelight, Glyn went on to have a normal life, heading to university two years and becoming a teacher.
He then decided to go travelling and ended up working in Shanghai, China, where he 'got rid of the Glyn from Big Brother tag'.
With Christianity growing at a massive scale across Asia, Glyn embraced his faith and decided to train as a vicar once he got home in 2020.
He previously opened up on what his course entailed and said: 'I'm learning theology, going into depth about the Bible and learning how to cope with people, because you're not only the vicar, you're someone to listen, you're a psychiatrist, you have to help sort people's lives out and spread the good word.
'So there's a concoction of stuff that you need to learn before you become a vicar.'
Despite sporting a very different look now, Glyn says he still gets Big Brother fans coming up to him in church — and he will often weave his past into his sermons.
He said: 'I've got a beard now, I've shaved my head, I'm a man not a boy, but yeah, there's conversations about Big Brother that still come up. People come to church and are like, 'I really loved you when you cooked that egg'.
'And I'm like, 'Can we talk about Jesus Christ now, the Saviour?'.
'But I feel like when you've lived a good life, you've got a lot to talk about when you're up in the pulpit doing a sermon.'

Scottish Love Island star Laura Anderson opens up on 'hardest week of parenting'

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Scottish Love Island star Laura Anderson has opened up revealing she is struggling with her 22 month old daughter Bonnie. The radio star uploaded an honest and heartfelt update on social media saying this has been her "hardest week of parenthood so far", reports The Record. She admitted she's trying to find her feet as a mother to a nearly two year old in today's society, comparing her parenting skills to her parents in the 80s and 90s as she struggles with 'gentle parenting.' Laura took to Instagram sharing a series of snaps and videos of her week, including a trip to the beach with Bonnie and her mum and snaps of Bonnie enjoying a day at the circus with her boyfriend, footballer Clarke Robertson. The 36-year-old opened up in the caption, as she wrote: "These may be images of love, laughter and core memories being made recently but the truth behind the smiles is - I'm struggling." "This has been the hardest week of parenthood so far for me. Bonnie is coming up for 22 months and a lot has changed and keeps changing. I don't know who my daughter is some days, I don't recognise her which has led to my dip in confidence communicating and or disciplining my own child (especially in public)," she admitted. She added: "I'm scared of responding in the wrong way, I'm scared of making a mistake because what if it teaches her long lasting bad behaviours?! And let's be honest if you grew up in the 80s/90s like me, gentle parenting didn't exist. We got smacked (no offence to my parents) and now it's illegal." "So I guess you could say I'm trying to find my place as a mother somewhere in between." "We also talk about the 'juggle' but It's so much more than that. It's the responsibility of choosing a priority every second of the day because we simply can't do it all. I love my child but this is inevitably the hardest 'job' I've ever had (and I've had a lot of jobs)." The social media star concluded the post in a positive light, revealing: "My new mantra though, is- 'show me how good it can get' So without wishing my daughter's childhood away or those precious bonding turning point/learning curve moments. I hope 'this' ie tantrums…too shall pass." Laura shares daughter Bonnie with ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy, and has regularly spoke about the struggles of single parenting. Laura and Gary split before Bonnie was even born, with the star labelling him as a "deadbeat dad" after revealing he barely sees his young daughter. Fans were quick to take to the comments showing their support, and praising Laura for being so open. One fan simply stated: "We're all wingin' it," alongside a red heart emoji. Whilst another expressed: "I hear you and applaud you for sharing," and a third shared: "Love how genuine and honest you are Laura. Parenthood certainly ain't all plain sailing but you've got this beautiful mama, even if it feels like you don't sometimes, that's a normal part of parenthood but you do n you're such a great mammy to beautiful Bonnie."

EastEnders' Ben Mitchell's 'return imminent' as Callum cheats with unlikely pal

Amongst all the drama with Bernie and Felix's exit in tonight's EastEnders, fans were left in shock when Johnny and Callum shared a passionate kiss - despite his marriage to Ben In tonight's EastEnders, Felix Baker was left in tears after spotting his boyfriend Johnny Carter share a kiss with Callum Highway, despite him still being married to Ben Mitchell. During Pride celebrations in The Albert, Johnny was seen apologising to Callum after berating him for putting his life on hold while Ben serves time in prison in America. ‌ "You are a young, hot man with a life, a job, a future. When is your life going to be about you?" Johnny questioned before the two shared a passionate kiss. ‌ A devastated Felix decided to pack his bags and leave, and although Callum is still married to Ben, spoilers for next week confirm things will go one step further between the pair, as they're set to spend the night together. It's been rumoured that Max Bowden will be reprising his role as Ben Mitchell, and now fans think is return is sooner than we think. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "I bet this will be a actual affair between Callum and Johnny and it's funny they have Callum hooking up with someone when Ben is about to come back." Another Ballum fan penned: "I know I'm late to the conversation but I only have this to say regarding Johnny/Callum - it's unfortunate but irrelevant. Ben is coming back so drama was inevitable. I'm not worried." Earlier this year, it was reported that Max Bowden, who played Ben Mitchell, would be back for a brief stint in the show later this year, with a possibility of it becoming full-time. However, this has not yet been confirmed by bosses. ‌ A source told the Sun of the reported return: 'Ben [Wadey] had a list of characters he wanted to bring back, and Ben Mitchell was one. It's taken a little while to sort out, but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year.' 'Ben wanted to meet Max and see where his head was at," the source continued, revealing that the new boss went to see the actor in the musical Midnight Cowboy. ‌ 'Things hadn't ended particularly well, and Ben wanted to assure him this could be his fresh start," the source continued. They then revealed that Max had "agreed to come back for a short stint" after Ben pitched a comeback storyline for the character. Ben was last seen on screens in 2023 after being arrested for an international crime. He's currently in prison in America but the character is mentioned regularly by his father Phil and husband Callum. Will we be seeing his return in the near future?

'Addictive' TV thriller is finally completely free to binge on UK streamer

A 'riveting and addictive' legal thriller is streaming for free right now (Picture: Disney General Entertainment Con) A legal drama thriller from legendary producer Shonda Rhimes is now available to binge in full for free. First hitting screens in 2014, How to Get Away with Murder was produced by Rhimes, best known for working on other shows including Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Bridgerton and The Residence. The show – which ran for six seasons before ending in 2020 – followed Annalise Keating (Viola Davis), a defence attorney and law professor at a prestigious university in Philadelphia who becomes entangled in a murder plot with five of her students. The cast also included Alfred Enoch, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, and Karla Souza as Annalise's students, while Charlie Weber and Liza Weil played her employees. Last year fans of the series were left devastated when it was removed from Netflix, with one declaring it was being 'snatched away' from them. But now, nearly eight months later, it's available again for UK viewers. Even better – it's also streaming for free on Channel 4. How to Get Away with Murder ran from 2014 until 2020 and starred Viola Davis (Picture: Disney General Entertainment Con) How to Get Away with Murder boasts an impressive 88% rating on review site Rotten Tomatoes. When reviewing the first season, the Associated Press wrote: 'Murder promises to be twisty, wicked, dark and fun. And it stars Viola Davis, who brings life to a character of endless calculations and mystery.' 'The most addictive new thriller on TV,' Entertainment Weekly declared. 'Smart, slick and sexy, How to Get Away with Murder might be your new obsession,' the Boston Herald added. It also picked up many fans as soon as it started, with some calling it 'riveting', 'addictive' and 'captivating'. It followed a legal professor who got wrapped up in a murder plot with her students (Picture: Disney General Entertainment Con) Many also praised Viola's 'magnetic presence'. 'Viola Davis is a powerful screen presence — almost too strong for TV. But she commands the small screen like few actors can,' the Baltimore Sun explained. The actress, who went on to also find success starring in The Help and Fences and Suicide Squad, received widespread critical acclaim for her performance in the series. She became the first Black woman to win a Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding lead actress in a drama series, won two Screen Actors Guild Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series, and was nominated for Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards. Viola's performance was called 'magnetic' (Picture: Lionel Hahn/ Getty Images) She previously spoke to Shondaland about how starring in How to Get Away with Murder marked a turning point in her career. 'I see Annalise as that point in my career where something switched. And what it did was wake me up to the value of using myself. And what I mean by that is that it changed the way people saw a Black woman,' she said. 'Every role that I got before this time, not that I wasn't extremely happy with those roles, and that's including the roles I had onstage, but they very much were roles that you could see me in. 'How to Get Away with Murder was thinking outside of the box. This was my way of subverting that narrative or that reality that we have of what a leading lady should look like, their sexuality should look like, womanhood should look like. It was my opportunity to just turn that on its head, and I had to because I was in the role. So, I could either play it like people expected me to play it, or I could really use myself and use what I know about life, and what I know womanhood to be, and sexuality to be, and Blackness to be — it was my way to just sort of inject my voice and my artistry.'
