Unlock better gaming and editing on your laptop with the right GPU choice
Buying a new laptop can be tricky with so many specs and options out there. One feature that often gets people thinking is the GPU. Some laptops come with a dedicated graphics card, while others rely on built-in graphics. Understanding what each one does can help you make the right choice based on how you plan to use your laptop.
A dedicated GPU is a separate graphics chip inside your laptop. It has its own memory and power. It's built to handle visuals like games, videos, and 3D graphics. In comparison, integrated graphics are built into the main processor and share system memory. They work well for everyday tasks but struggle with heavy visuals.
If you enjoy gaming, you'll want a dedicated GPU. Modern games are more detailed and need more power to run smoothly. With a dedicated GPU, your games will look better, load faster, and feel smoother. You'll get better lighting, textures, and frame rates. Without one, you might experience lag, low graphics quality, or even games not running at all. For titles like Call of Duty, GTA V, or Cyberpunk 2077, integrated graphics just won't cut it.
If you work with videos, photos, animation, or 3D models, a dedicated GPU can speed things up. Video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve use the GPU to render projects faster. Graphic designers and digital artists also notice smoother performance while editing high-resolution files or using effects. Without a strong GPU, rendering times are slower, and software may feel laggy.
You don't always need a dedicated GPU. If your work includes typing documents, browsing the web, watching videos, or attending video calls, integrated graphics are more than enough. Laptops with integrated GPUs are also lighter, cheaper, and offer longer battery life. For students or casual users, this is often the smarter choice.

Call of Duty current server status for June 25, 2025
Image via Activision. Is Call of Duty down right now? Let's explore the current server status for all the present games in the market. This franchise has become a staple in the world of video games, and as a result, a huge number of players still play this game regularly - be it Warzone, Black Ops 6, or Modern Warfare 3. Right now BO6 and Warzone are going through Season 4 and fans are eagerly waiting for the mid season refresh - Season 4 Reloaded. Amidst all the anticipation, the franchise has recently been hit by a massive server outage. Call of Duty experienced massive server breakdown It has been reported by many Call of Duty players that today many titles of this franchise like Black Ops 6, Warzone, Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and many more have been hit by a severe server outage. This outage was so drastic that it made the servers of the game go offline for close to half an hour. This was a big hit on Call of Duty HQ after Activision's decision to merge all the modern COD titles in this single app. This decision has now been slammed by the fans, as this massive outage affected all the games which are now under the same roof. Although Activision was quick to find a resolution of this situation and brought back the servers online, but it was pretty concerning keeping in mind the number of titles affected all together. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Adidas Three Shorts With 60% Discount, Limited Stock Available Original Adidas Shop Now Undo Call of Duty has previously faced a number of downtimes, like the one in April 3 in Warzone. That was actually a planned downtime in order to bring back Verdansk in the game. However, the recent 30-minute server outage wasn't in the plans and the Season 4 Reloaded update is still some days far away. That is why this recent issue raises many questions, especially security concerns behind the reason for this outage, like a DDoS attack or data leak. Another fact that makes the whole situation more cryptic is that Black Ops 4 was also reportedly affected with this server outage. Now, this title is not a part of the Call of Duty HQ app. So, fans are fearing that this server crash is not because of the heavy load on the app, there might be any other reason. As of now, all the Call of Duty games are running fine now, but as long as Activision holds the reason behind this server outage, concerns will continue to pile up. Is Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.3 update delayed?
It was an update that made Cyberpunk 2077 what it is really today. That update was the version 2.0 which really gave the CD Projekt Red title a new life. After the release of this highly anticipated open-world title, the game was devastated with bugs and optimization issues. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now However, three years later everything changed after update 2.0 was dropped alongside with the Phantom Liberty expansion. After that time, two more updates have been launched, and people are eagerly waiting for the version 2.3 update, but it seems they have to wait a bit longer. CD Projekt Red delays Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.3 update CD Projekt Red first announced Patch 2.3 on June 5, 2025,, targeting a June 26 launch date. However, that isn't going to happen because the developer has recently announced a delay for this particular patch. On Twitter, the official handle of the game has stated that it will 'need some more time' to make sure that the developers are happy and satisfied about the patch. We also didn't get an exact date of this update's release, which makes this news even more disappointing. However, CD Projekt Red promised that it is 'aiming for a scope similar to Update 2.2.' Now what does it mean? The version 2.3 update was initially believed to feature no additional content or DLC, just some major bug fixes, along with UI improvements. There were rumors that the upcoming update would add some polished NPC behaviours and new repeatable gigs, but nothing was confirmed. Now, as per CD Projekt Red's promise, we might see content additions via this upcoming update, similar to the Version 2.2 update. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 was released on December 10, 2024, in line with the game's 4th anniversary. It brought a lot of substantial additions to the game, especially an overhaul transformation to the character customization option. Besides this, the Photo Mode, Vehicle Customization all got significant upgrades. It also added the Balatro collaboration quest. So, we hope this sudden delay is worth a wait. Read More:
