'Naak Se Gau Ya Galey Se?': Himesh Reshammiya Mocks Trolls At Delhi Concert
Himesh Reshammiya drew a huge crowd to Delhi's Indira Gandhi arena on July 19 for his CapMania tour. Known for nasal singing, he asked fans whether to sing using his nasal tone.
Himesh Reshammiya drew a massive footfall to Delhi's Indira Gandhi arena on July 19 as a part of his CapMania concert tour. The singer, who became a sensation in the 2000s with his nasal singing and his signature cap and leather jacket look, enthralled fans by singing some of his classic hits as the audience sang along. He also took a jibe at trolls, asking fans whether he should sing in his nasal tone.
'Jai MATADI Let's Rock delhi you were historic amazing , love you all #capmaniatour," wrote Himesh Reshammiya, while sharing photos from his Delhi concert. He also posted several videos and pictures of his big moments. His fans, who attended the concert in pure Himesh fashion wearing caps, have also been circulating his videos on social media. It was during one of his segments when he asked the audience: ' Naak se gau ya galey se? (Should I sing using my nasal tone or regular voice)." Take a look at his post:
Back in June, when the singer performed for his fans in Mumbai, had asked the same question, clapping back at critics. This was met with loud hoots and cheers from the audience. Mid-concert, Himesh asked fans: ' Thoda regular gau yaa naak se? (Should I sing in a regular style or nasally?)." They requested nasal.
He asked them, 'Are you sure?" The audience said 'yes" in unison. In his high-pitched nasal tune, Himesh sang two lines of Aashiq Banaya Aapne for them.
Recently, the 51-year-old singer spoke about his nasal style of singing. He told Pinkvilla, 'Aaj toh nasal ki baat bhi nahi kar rahe hain (Nobody is making that criticism of my nasal singing these days). Many people did nasal singing after me, so many of my songs became hits."
He further explained why there was even a need for his nasal singing in Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Himesh said in the same interview, 'Actually, even though I call it nasal singing today, for me, it was never nasal, it was high-pitched singing. It was a cry for help! In the 'Aashiq Banaya' video, this guy is actually crying in pain, singing, as well as dancing."

Ajay Devgn Says Outsiders In Bollywood Expect Stardom Overnight, Calls Them ‘Misguided'
Last Updated: Ajay Devgn, promoting Son of Sardaar 2, discussed newcomers' misconceptions about Bollywood, crediting his father for his industry knowledge. Ajay Devgn feels that many newcomers from non-film backgrounds enter Bollywood with the wrong expectations. While promoting his upcoming comedy Son of Sardaar 2, the actor said some outsiders expect to become stars instantly, without understanding the hard work and acting skills required. Ajay appeared on Archana Puran Singh's YouTube show along with his co-star Mrunal Thakur. When asked if he learned about the industry from his father, stunt choreographer Veeru Devgan, Ajay said, 'Whatever I've learnt technically and about the industry is all because of him. The kind of dedication he had and what he taught me…the honesty towards work, all of it comes from him." Archana noted that this early exposure is one reason the industry often prefers people from film families. 'They already learn professional ethics from their parents," she said. Ajay agreed, adding, 'You get to learn a lot." Speaking about outsiders, Ajay shared, 'I am not talking about everybody because there are sensible people, but a lot of times, they come in not knowing if they want to be an actor or a star. You cannot be a star on day one; first, you need to be an actor. So, I think there's a misunderstanding somewhere for people; they are misguided about the industry…those from outside film families. I think ultimately, it's your hard work." Son of Sardaar 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 film. The film will release in theatres on August 1. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film features a powerhouse cast including Ajay Devgn, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev. Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, a Devgn Films and SOS 2 Limited production, Son of Sardaar 2 is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande. Produced by N. R. Pachisia and Pravin Talreja, and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Son of Sardaar 2 is set to release on August 1, 2025. The movie follows the story of Sardaar Jassi, who has now moved to Scotland and has landed himself in hilarious trouble. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
