#SHOWBIZ: Host Uyaina Arshad bids farewell to 'Wanita Hari Ini' after 9 years
Uyaina, who served as a presenter for WHI for nine years, said that the decision was entirely her own and not due to any disagreement or misunderstanding.
"Goodbye WHI. Today (yesterday) was my last day hosting the WHI programme. I chose to leave. There is no dispute, no misunderstanding.
"WHI is my home, and the WHI team is my family. I love this programme as much as I love every individual who contributes to its success.
"If anyone wonders why, there's only one answer: Because the time has come," she wrote.
Uyaina, whose full name is Saidatul Naseha Uyaina Arshad, admitted that it wasn't an easy decision.
"It's not easy to make this decision, but I believe it's time for Uyaina Arshad to take a step towards something new.
"Sometimes, you just need to know when it's the right time to leave.
"Praise be to God. My greatest achievement is being trusted year after year to steer a programme as significant as WHI for nine years.
"It wasn't a short period. God has willed it. It's something I'm very proud of," she added.
In the same post, Uyaina also expressed her gratitude to her fellow presenters, whom she considered her teachers in the world of hosting.
"This is where I learned to be a good presenter: meticulously organising every word, maintaining sensitivity, enlivening the atmosphere, and most importantly, entertaining and conveying knowledge as effectively as possible to the audience.
"Thank you to my first teachers and also my first presenter friends, Kak Rena and Kak Fiza. Back then, there were only three of us.
"They imparted a lot of knowledge to me and taught me to be a knowledgeable and ethical presenter.
"Thank you to my fellow hosts, Abang Fahrin, Sugee, Fatin, Syira. I am honoured to have hosted alongside you for these nine years! Continue the WHI legacy!" she wrote.
The post was accompanied by a video capturing her final moments hosting WHI yesterday.
