Custom Seahawks Jersey of Reigning Tour de France Champion goes viral on Friday

USA Today3 days ago
A custom Seattle Seahawks jersey spotted on the Tour de France's broadcast went semi-viral Friday morning.
The jersey spotted was a white away number 10 from the NFL's modern Nike Era adorning the name of the reigning Tour de France Champion Tadej Pogacar. Sleeper Seahawks tweeted a photo of the broadcast early Friday morning which was reshared throughout the fanbase all over social media throughout the final day of the work week.
Pogacar, a Slovenian-born 26-year-old, has already won the Tour three times. He won his first in 2020 before going back-to-back in 2021, and has the chance to go back-to-back again in 2025 after picking up his third title last year. He currently leads the Tour overall despite finishing second in yesterday's leg.
The fan spotted also appeared to be wearing a yellow football helmet with a massive set of Antlers attached. While fans watching the Tour de France are typical, he also appeared to be running to keep up with the leaders for as long as he could. Fans running to get the best look they can at the riders is also an annual occurrence on the Tour, but this fan's wardrobe choices made him stand out to Seahawks fans around the world, who love nothing more than to see 12s pop up in unexpected places in the world of sports.
If you're reading this, Seahawks fan at the Tour de France with antlers- what is your story? The 12s are curious!

Bears $24 million playmaker could lose job during training camp

The 2025 Chicago Bears will be about how the offense handles new head coach Ben Johnson with second-year quarterback Caleb Williams. Last season, the Bears' offense had a lot of ups and downs, which is why the team went out and hired Johnson to ensure Williams can improve in Year 2. One way Williams can have a better season than last year is if he gets support from the running game, but the team failed to upgrade the position this offseason. The Bears only brought in Rutgers running back Kyle Monangai, who was drafted in the seventh round to go along with Roschon Johnson, D'Andre Swift, and Travis Homer. As of right now, Swift is No. 1 running back on the depth chart, but Bryan Perez from Bears On SI thinks Swift could lose his job if he doesn't have a strong training camp."This one's obvious. The Bears inked Swift to a three-year, $24 million contract last offseason, but that doesn't matter now. Maybe they wouldn't have if Johnson were the head coach. And now that Johnson is in town, he'll decide what Swift's future with the team is," Perez wrote. "That future could very well be a bell cow running back who vaults into the top-10 running backs in the NFL. Swift certainly has the explosive skill set to be that guy, but if 2024's production was an indication of the kind of player he'll be in Chicago, it won't be long before Roschon Johnson or rookie Kyle Monangai replaces him." In one season in Chicago, Swift rushed for 959 yards and six scores, but those numbers will have to improve if he wants to be the lead back all season in the Windy City.

Malik Nabers is 'ready to go' for Giants training camp: Daboll

Finally, some good news for the New York Giants. Wide receiver Malik Nabers has been cleared to practice at training camp and is expected to be a full participant, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Nabers had missed all of the Giants' spring practices at OTAs and mandatory minicamp while rehabbing a lingering toe injury. The toe issue first arose in college, according to Daboll, but Nabers re-aggravated it last season. The Giants have been particularly cautious with their 2024 first-round pick since then. Daboll has said multiple times this offseason – throughout OTAs and minicamp – that there wasn't any concern that Nabers would miss training camp practices, let alone the start of the season. With Wednesday's announcement making it official, Giants fans can seemingly let out a sigh of relief. Nabers was one of the lone bright spots for the 3-14 Giants as a rookie last year. His 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns all led the team and were impressive feats amid a chaotic situation at quarterback – Big Blue sent out four different starters under center – that unfolded throughout the season. The 109 catches Nabers tallied were more than any other wide receiver in 2024, and his yardage total was the second-most of all rookie pass-catchers (tight ends included). Not only that, but Nabers' 1,204 yards made him the first Giants player to surpass 800 receiving yards in a season since Odell Beckham Jr. in 2018. Now that he's officially been declared healthy and a full go for training camp, Nabers will be the clear No. 1 target for starting quarterback Russell Wilson in New York this year.
