"Exercise Shakti 2025 fostering joint training interoperability between India and France": French Army
New Delhi [India], June 19 (ANI): The 13 DBLE (Demi-Brigade of Foreign Legion) is organising the bilateral exercise Shakti 25 alongside the Indian Army.
The Army said that the exercise will foster synergy and interoperability in conduct of counter terrorism operations in semi urban terrain.
In a post on X, Colonel Benjamin Brunet, 52nd Corps Commander, said, 'The 13 DBLE is organizing the bilateral exercise SHAKTI 25 alongside the Indian Army. This joint training strengthens interoperability, knowledge sharing and cooperation between our two nations.'

The Indian Army said, 'Exercise Shakti 2025: The Indian Army contingent has departed today to France to participate in the 8th edition of Exercise Shakti, taking place in La Cavalerie, France, from 18 June to 01 July 2025. The Exercise will foster synergy and interoperability in conduct of counter terrorism operations in semi urban terrain.'

According to a release by the Ministry of Defence, the contingent, primarily from the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles along with members from other arms and services, are participating in the exercise, scheduled from June 18 to July 1, at Camp Larzac, La Cavalerie, France.
Meanwhile, the French contingent, also consisting of 90 personnel, will be represented by the 13th Foreign Legion Half-Brigade (13th DBLE).
The exercise aims to enhance interoperability and strengthen strategic ties between the two nations.
As per the release, the exercise will highlight the growing defence cooperation between India and France.
Exercise 'Shakti', a biennial training engagement, focuses on joint operations in a sub-conventional environment under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, with training conducted in semi-urban terrain.
The exercise will serve as a platform for both armies to rehearse and refine tactical drills, share best practices in Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and train on new generation equipment, including contemporary military technologies.
It will also foster physical endurance, esprit de corps, mutual respect, and professional camaraderie between the two forces. This edition of 'Shakti' underscores the deepening military-to-military connection and operational coordination between India and France, aligning with their broader strategic partnership. (ANI)

The CM clarified that the earlier GRs issued on April 16 and June 17 stand cancelled. He assured parents and students that the state's policy will remain student-centric and that Marathi and the interests of Marathi-speaking students will be the top priority. Fadnavis emphasised that there is no intention to play politics over this sensitive issue. Delhi: 45-point action plan to rejuvenate Yamuna River
New Delhi [India], June 29 (ANI): The Delhi Jal Board, under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has rolled out a 45-point action plan aimed at enhancing the capital's water infrastructure, upgrading sewerage networks, increasing transparency in tanker services, and rejuvenating the heavily polluted Yamuna River. The comprehensive plan, backed by a budget of Rs 9,000 crore, is targeted for completion by next year, a senior official confirmed. The campaign aims to provide the capital with clean water and a pollution-free Yamuna. Chief Minister Gupta is personally leading the efforts to rejuvenate the river, with close monitoring also being conducted by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and PWD Minister Parvesh Verma. The budget for the mission is worth Rs 9,000 crore and is targeted for completion by next year, a senior official said. Additionally, the Central Government and the Delhi Government are collaborating on a war footing to clean the River Yamuna. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) will re-verify a total of 360 small and large drains in the city, and a drone survey will be conducted for 22 major drains falling into the river. A total of 67 locations have been identified for pollution monitoring in the Yamuna River. A survey will be conducted by July and the report will be submitted to the Delhi Jal Board. The Delhi government is also installing 32 real-time water Monitoring Stations to clean the river Yamuna. Out of these 32, 10 will be set up on the Yamuna river and 22 on major drains, said a senior official. The Delhi government plans to clean the Yamuna River within its first tenure. In its new initiative for Clean Energy and Water Conservation in Delhi, the Delhi Government will transform the Najafgarh Drain into a 30 MW canal-top solar power corridor. (ANI)
