A young gazelle, believed to have been separated from its herd, had slipped into a pond and was visibly struggling to stay afloat. Onlookers, who filmed the entire incident, can be heard cheering as a nearby elephant notices the animal in distress and slowly approaches the water.
Using its trunk with incredible care and precision, the elephant makes several attempts to reach the gazelle. After a few tries, it manages to gently lift the creature out of the water and onto dry ground.
