Indiana Fever Fans Slam Stephanie White After Sparks Loss
Indiana Fever fans were upset after their team dropped the third game in the last five duels. The Los Angeles Sparks pulled off a fourth-quarter comeback to beat the Caitlin Clark-led Fever 85-75. The positive things they achieved during the 94-86 win against the Seattle Storm on Tuesday vanished against the Sparks, who gave Indiana its eighth loss of the 2025 WNBA season.

Stephanie White hasn't had the best start to her tenure as the Fever's head coach. The last three losses have revealed a concerning trend from her team: they struggle to close out games.
On Friday, against the Golden State Valkyries, the Fever blew a 12-point lead (57-45 at 3:02 in the third quarter) and ultimately lost the game 88-77. On Sunday, against the Las Vegas Aces, a similar scenario happened. They lost an eight-point lead (50-42 at 6:41 in the third quarter) and the game (89-81).
Most recently, on Thursday, they blew a 10-point lead (60-50 at 9:26 in the fourth quarter), resulting in a 10-point loss for the 2012 WNBA champions.
It's fair to say that Clark shot 1-of-17 from the field during the losses to the Valkyries and the Aces. However, the lack of composure to close out games continued without the star guard on the court, making fans turn their attention to the coach.

As the team's official X account shared a post featuring Sydney Colson to preview tonight's duel against the Paige Bueckers-led Dallas Wings, several fans took the opportunity to call out White over the team's recent results.

"Ya better fire Stephanie white today," one fan said.
"Don't bring Stephanie White! Bench Howard she can't make a layup and can't play D. Bench Colson she is worthless. Leave Turner in Indy. Don't play KK she has no idea what she is doing out there. Another loss on the horizon. Wasted jet fuel," another fan said.
"Steph white should be brought up on coaching malpractice charges. Its so extemely obvious that she trying to ruin this team and doesnt want them to be good at all. She literally doing everything to make them worse. And yall star player caitlin clark looks miserable under her," a third fan added.
"Can someone tell me how did the Fever have a better team last year than this year? Why did they break up that team? The team made it to the playoffs and the first thought was let's split up the team. And why is Fever refusing to sign another big," one fan questioned.

"@IndianaFever Will you please ask Coach White why she feels the need to slow the tempo down as soon as the team hits a 10pt. lead and goes back to trying to run half court.
"It is obvious that her team is no good at all trying to run sets because other than AB they have no one else that can post up so teams just crash AB and then it's a hail mary scramble to get a shot off. Thanks!" another said.
"Yay time to watch the 5th grade motion offense coach has brought to this team," a fan brutally stated. said.
Despite entering the 2025 season with high expectations, the Fever have posted a 7-8 record to start the campaign. They have missed Clark and Sophie Cunningham due to injuries, released DeWanna Bonner, one of their biggest offseason additions and now White is under fire.

Not exactly the fairy tale many thought this season would be, but the Fever proved last season that they can turn things around at any moment.
