
New Horizon School Hosts Inspiring Student Council & PTA Installation Ceremony
New Horizon School held its Student Council Investiture and PTA Installation Ceremony for the academic year 2025–26 on Saturday, May 24th at the KCA Auditorium.
The event marked a defining moment in the school's commitment to shaping responsible student leaders and nurturing strong partnerships between parents and educators.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Hussain Al Janahi, Member of Parliament, who delivered a motivating keynote address, urging students to embrace leadership roles with sincerity and courage.
Mountaineer and author Mrs. Madhu Sarda and Mrs. Tanima Chakraborty, CEO of Biolights, served as Guests of Honour, sharing empowering messages that highlighted the value of purpose-driven leadership and resilience in today's youth.
Formal Induction of the 2025–26 Student Council
One of the key highlights of the morning was the induction of the newly elected Student Council members for the academic year 2025–26. The leadership baton was ceremoniously passed by the outgoing Head Boy to the incoming student leaders, symbolizing a new chapter of commitment and service.
Mrs. Dipti Shah was officially announced as the Student Council Coordinator for the year ahead, guiding the new council in its mission.
Strengthening School-Parent Bonds: PTA Installed

Women Across and New Horizon School Bahrain Join Hands for "Beat the Heat" Initiative
In a heartwarming display of community spirit and social responsibility, Women Across, in collaboration with New Horizon School Bahrain, successfully launched their 'Beat the Heat' initiative on June 12 at a construction site in Umm Al Hassam. The initiative aimed to provide essential summer relief to outdoor workers who endure long hours under the scorching sun. As part of this compassionate effort, a variety of refreshments and provisions were lovingly prepared and distributed to the labourers. These included caps, refreshing fruits, snacks, Laban, juices, and freshly baked cakes, all designed to offer comfort and hydration during the intense heat. The event was officially inaugurated by Mrs. Vandana Satheesh, Principal of New Horizon School, who actively participated in personally handing out the refreshments. Students from the school played a vital role, working alongside the Women Across team. This active involvement aimed to foster a culture of empathy, compassion, and community service among the young participants. "We believe in building not just academically strong students, but socially aware and kind-hearted individuals," stated Mrs. Satheesh. "This initiative provided our students with a meaningful experience and a valuable lesson in giving back to the community." ISB honours young achievers for Classes IV and V
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) hosted its Annual Academic Awards Ceremony on Thursday for Classes IV and V, celebrating the scholastic accomplishments of students during the academic year 2024- 2025. The occasion was graced by ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman & Hon. Member HSSE and Sports Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Hon. and Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon. Member-Projects and Maintenance Mithun Mohan, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Senior School and Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh, Middle Section Vice-Principal Jose Thomas, Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji and Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas. The programme commenced with the National Anthems of Bahrain and India. This was followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by student Fatima Filzah Rukuddin of Class IV-G. Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese lighted the ceremonial lamp. Commitment In his presidential address, Adv. Binu Mannil commended the teachers for their unwavering commitment and instrumental role in the students' academic achievements. He congratulated the awardees for their exemplary performance and acknowledged the efforts of all students who received 'A1 Grade' certificates for their diligence and consistency. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to the parents for their steadfast support and partnership in nurturing discipline and academic responsibility among students. Earlier the programme began with the school prayer, followed by an invocation dance performed gracefully by students from Classes IV and V. Principal VR Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering and emphasised the significance of academic recognition. Gratitude The vote of thanks was delivered by Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, who expressed gratitude to all those involved in organising the successful event. A highlight of the ceremony was the distribution of A1 Certificates to the meritorious students of Classes IV and V. This was followed by a captivating theme-based dance presentation, showcasing the talent and creativity of the young learners. The programme was effectively anchored by Noora Rahmathil (IV-H), Abhimanyu Midhun (VW), and Reyhan Thomas (V-B), who served as the masters of ceremonies.
