The accused was identified as Binda Kunwar, a resident of the Chauri police station area in Bhojpur district.
The arrest came after five traffickers, including a woman, were previously apprehended and sent to jail in connection with a missing minor girl complaint at Danapur police station on May 19.
The gang operated by targeting girls at railway stations, luring them with promises of a better life through marriage, and then selling them in other states, police said.
City SP (West), Bhanu Pratap Singh, said the investigation began on May 19 with a complaint about a missing minor girl.
"Investigation revealed that the gang was selling minor girls to buyers in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The arrested women trafficker confessed to selling two more minor girls in these states. The network, active in Patna, Ara, Rohtas, and other districts, maintained close connections with brokers in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Police are examining cellphone records of the arrested traffickers and coordinating with their counterparts in both states to apprehend remaining gang members," Singh said.

On June 27, Patna SSP Kartikeya K Sharma exposed the racket during a press conference. The breakthrough came when a girl from Ara, who was sold in Rajasthan for Rs 1.50 lakh, escaped and reached Danapur police station. Her statement led to raids in Dinara in Rohtas, resulting in five arrests, including the owner of a marriage hall used for conducting fake marriages.
According to police investigations, the gang had victimised at least 10 girls in the past six months. "Their modus operandi involved identifying vulnerable girls at railway stations, using women gang members to gain their trust, and temporarily housing them in Bhojpur. The victims were then married in staged ceremonies before being sold to buyers in other states," the SSP said.
Ajay Kumar Gupta is the owner of the marriage hall where these fake wedding ceremonies were conducted.
The SSP said the arrested kingpin was sent to judicial custody.

Courier caught at Varanasi Jn with Rs35 lakh hawala money
Varanasi: Govt railway police at Varanasi Junction (Cantt railway station) caught a courier with Rs 35 lakh hawala money. Deputy SP GRP Varanasi, Kunwar Pratap Singh, said during security check at the platforms, launched as part of preparations for Shravan month, GRP team apprehended a suspicious looking man. When his bag was checked, Rs 35 lakh was found in it. GRP personnel took him to their office, where income tax officials were called and the courier was handed over to them with the cash. During initial investigation by GRP, it came to light that the courier hailed from Bikaner, Rajasthan and worked as a spice supplier in Varanasi. He came in contact with a gang involved in transferring hawala money. On receiving a lucrative offer, he initially transported Rs 20 lakh and was now carrying Rs 35 lakh to deliver to a person at Sasaram in Bihar. He identified Pankaj from Kolkata as the man operating of the hawala racket. Pankaj used to instruct all his agents via WhatsApp on where to collect and deliver the money. Pankaj would also provide funds for train reservations for agents and once money was delivered to the specific person, the agents would receive their fee. The officer mentioned that the man apprehended provided crucial information about several gangs and efforts were underway to locate them.

Man booked for unlicensed use of songs in wedding videos
Ahmedabad: Maninagar police on Saturday booked a studio operator under copyright laws after a raid revealed unlicensed use of film songs in wedding and pre-wedding videos. The matter was reported by an executive of a Noida-based music company which holds the rights to a large collection of songs. The company official, assigned to monitor unauthorised use of copyrighted audio content in Gujarat, received information about a studio near Krishnabaug crossroads in Maninagar. It was alleged that the studio was using company-owned songs in wedding video projects without any licence or written permission. Based on this, the company approached police with details and evidence. Maninagar police arranged a raid with the help of panch witnesses and company representatives. During the raid, two computers were found running. Examination of hard drives showed that several wedding and pre-wedding video files contained audio tracks belonging to the complainant company.
