Today's Wordle
Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.
Whenever a Wordle is a past participle of another word, it's a bit trickier to solve. By and large, I'd say that nouns tend to be easier than other types of words. I started off okay with CHOIR, leaving me with 110 remaining solutions and just one green box. Unfortunately, SLATE only slashed that number to 13. WOODY finally got me down to just one: KNOWN for the win. If I'd known then what I know now, I would have gotten a better score!
Today's Wordle Bot
Feels like kind of a waste of 2XP Friday. Since the Bot and I both got it in four, we each get 0 points. Our April tallies remain:
Erik: 11 points
Wordle Bot: 15 points
Known comes from Old English cnāwan ('to know'), from Proto-Germanic knewaną, and earlier from Proto-Indo-European ǵneh₃- ('to know, perceive'). The 'k' was once pronounced but became silent in Middle English.
