Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever found some recent success without All-WNBA point guard Caitlin Clark, defeating the Minnesota Lynx in Tuesday's Commissioner's Cup championship game.

Clark has now missed eight games during the 2025 WNBA season due to a quad issue and, most recently, a groin injury. She is expected to miss her ninth game of the year when the Fever host the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday.
Over the past two years, Clark has built strong relationships with her teammates - perhaps none stronger than the bond she shares with fellow guard Lexie Hull.
The two frequently comment on each other's social media posts and even took a trip to Mexico during last year's WNBA Olympic break. Clark has also called Hull her favorite teammate to ride the bus with.
But when it comes to an emergency contact, Clark may have a different teammate in mind.

On Wednesday, the Fever posted a video on social media asking players, 'Who on the team would you call in an emergency?' Rather than choosing Hull, Clark—like many of her teammates—named Boston as her go-to emergency contact.
"That's a good question," Clark said. "Ooh. I'm trying to think of, like, who would answer their phone. I'd trust basically everyone. Honestly, probably Aliyah. Probably Aliyah."
Other players who picked Boston include Hull, Kelsey Mitchell, Natasha Howard and Makayla Timpson. Boston would have picked herself if she could have but settled for Brianna Turner or Mitchell.
Averaging 15.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists this season, Boston earned her third WNBA All-Star selection and will be a starter for the first time. She'll be joined by Clark, who was also voted in as a starter and named captain for the July 19 game.

Insiders say Steelers' Minkah Fitzpatrick trade talks began months ago

The Steelers shocked the NFL by trading Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Dolphins in exchange for Jalen Ramsey, Jonnu Smith, and a late-round pick swap — but insiders suggest his Steel City exit had been brewing behind the scenes for some time. According to insider Jeremy Fowler on social media, Fitzpatrick was the subject of "trade whispers" starting as early as last March — stemming from his noticeable decline over the past few years. In a separate social media post, insider Gerry Dulac stated that the Steelers weren't seeking out trade partners for Fitzpatrick, but they were listening to offers. He added that Fitzpatrick's lack of splash plays over the past two seasons played a part in the Steelers' decision to trade him — as it became difficult to justify his current salary. Over the past two seasons with Pittsburgh, Fitzpatrick produced just one interception — a far cry from the 17 interceptions he accumulated during his first four years as a Steeler. Advertisement Splash plays aside, Fitzpatrick played a vital role in coverage with his ability to blanket the field — making him difficult for the Steelers to replace, but not impossible. Tyreek Hill's reaction to Steelers' blockbuster Jalen Ramsey trade goes viral

The Steelers' acquisitions of Dolphins All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey and TE Jonnu Smith sent shockwaves through the NFL — sparking crazed rants and reactions across social media. And that includes Tyreek Hill, who doesn't seem thrilled he lost two Dolphins teammates to Pittsburgh. Following the blockbuster trade news, Hill took to X and posted the infamous final scene from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air — where Will Smith stands alone in the completely empty Banks mansion. The Dolphins All-Pro wide receiver captioned the clip with a crying emoji, as he had been vocal about wanting to keep Ramsey in Miami — let alone losing Smith as well. Hill was previously involved in trade drama of his own after he seemingly took himself out of the Dolphins' Week 18 contest midgame, telling reporters after Miami's loss, "I'm out." Advertisement The two sides agreed to put it behind them and run it back in 2025, but if a potential Dolphins rebuild causes Hill to rethink his plans to stay in Miami, the Steelers could use another wide receiver to complete what's shaping up to be a Super Bowl roster.
