'The Revolutionaries' first look out: Nikkhil Advani's period drama pays tribute to young Indian freedom fighters
Amazon Prime Video has shared the first look at Nikkhil Advani's upcoming period drama series, which has been adapted from Sanjeev Sanyal's novel of the same name, 'Revoltunaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom. Slated to premiere in 2026, the series is currently in production, as per the press note shared by the makers of this OTT series.
According to the press note, the series tells the powerful story of brave young Indian freedom fighters who believed that armed resistance was not just vital but indispensable to ending the British Raj. The Revolutionaries is a stirring tribute to their extraordinary lives, sacrifices, and their unwavering, undying love for their country.
Currently on floors, the series is being mounted on a grand scale, with filming underway across multiple locations in India, including Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi, Dehradun, and more.
'The Revolutionaries' will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide in 2026, added the press note.
The first look features Rohit Saraf's new avatar, where he is seen exercising at the centre of a wrestling ground, while Bhuvan Bam impresses his fans with his never-seen-before look in the video.
'Laapataa Ladies' fame actress Pratibha Ranta also appears to be involved in the fight against the British in the series, as per the first look shared by Prime Video.

Learning to bat left-handed For Rajkummar, preparing to portray Sourav Ganguly is no small feat. While he is comfortable playing cricket, embodying a natural left-handed batter like Ganguly poses a fresh challenge. 'While I know how to play cricket, being a left-handed batter is a different ball game altogether. The muscle memory is all about being a right-handed batter. So, I need some time to practise," the actor explained. Interestingly, Rajkummar also revealed he has not yet met Ganguly. 'I have deliberately not met Dada yet. Anupam Kher criticises Diljit Dosanjh over Sardaar Ji 3 controversy: ‘I can't watch my sister's sindoor get destroyed in the name of art'
Diljit Dosanjh continues to remain in the spotlight as controversy brews over the casting of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in his upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3. Diljit, who also serves as a producer on the film, is under fire for featuring a Pakistani artist at a time when cross-border cultural exchanges remain a sensitive issue in India. Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently weighed in on the matter, telling NDTV that while Diljit has the right to express himself freely, he personally would not have made the same choice. 'It's his fundamental right. He has full freedom to exercise his right and he should be given freedom to exercise it. I can say from my point of view that maybe I wouldn't do what he did,' Anupam said. He went on to use an analogy to explain his stance: 'I'd say, 'You slapped my father but you sing very well, you play very good tabla, so you come and perform at my house.' Despite this, the actor is currently shooting for his next film Border 2 and is reportedly in discussions for future projects. In response to the backlash, the makers of Sardaar Ji 3 have stated that the film was shot before the Pahalgam attack and assured that they will refrain from working with Pakistani actors in the future.
