First trailer for new Bruce Springsteen biopic released
The Bear star plays a young Springsteen in Deliver Me From Nowhere, which chronicles the musician making his 1982 album Nebraska – featuring the singles Atlantic City, My Father's House and State Trooper.
The trailer shows short excerpts from the film, many of them with him playing guitar.
The first scene of the trailer shows a car dealer telling Springsteen's character: 'I do know who you are.' A solemn-looking Springsteen answers: 'Well, that makes one of us.'
Flashbacks show Springsteen as a young boy with his father, played by British actor Stephen Graham.
The film, from 20th Century Studios, is due to be released in cinemas on October 24.
The cast also features Succession actor Jeremy Strong as Springsteen's long-time mentor and manager, Jon Landau, Cruella star Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, and Mothering Sunday actress Odessa Young as love interest Faye.
Nebraska pre-dated 1984's Born In The USA, the title of one of 75-year-old Springsteen's most known songs, and came after his 1975 breakthrough record Born To Run.
Director Scott Cooper, who wrote the script based on the book Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes, said: 'Making Springsteen was deeply moving as it allowed me to step inside the soul of an artist I've long admired – and to witness, up close, the vulnerability and strength behind his music.
'The experience felt like a journey through memory, myth, and truth. And more than anything, it was a privilege to translate that raw emotional honesty to the screen, and in doing so, it changed me. I cannot thank Bruce and Jon Landau enough for allowing me to tell their story.'
White has led all three seasons of hit drama The Bear, winning two Emmys and two Golden Globes for his role as chef Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto.
He is also known for playing Phillip Ronan 'Lip' Gallagher in the US version of Shameless, and wrestler Kerry Von Erich in The Iron Claw.

3 clues that an 'Alien vs. Predator' reboot could be in the works
The two " Alien vs. Predator" movies were widely panned — but it looks like Disney could be setting up a rematch between the iconic monsters. The studio, which has owned both the "Alien" and " Predator" franchises since it bought 20th Century Studios in 2019, hasn't announced a new crossover but has seemingly set the stage for the Xenomorphs and the Yautja to battle once again. Audiences still have plenty of love for both characters: 2024's " Alien: Romulus" earned $350 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo, and the " Predator: Badlands" trailer was watched 15 million times on YouTube in the three days following its release on July 22. Here are three clues that fans think suggest Disney is planning a new cosmic beatdown. The biggest clue comes from the trailer of the upcoming "Predator: Badlands" movie, which shows that an android called Thia (Elle Fanning) has the logo of Weyland-Yutani, the nefarious corporation in the "Alien" franchise, printed on the back of her eyes. The film is set in the future on a distant planet, where a young Yautja hunter named Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), an outcast from his clan, has to kill something bigger than himself to reclaim his honor. Weyland-Yutani will be a key player in the " Alien: Earth" TV series, which will stream weekly on Hulu and Disney+ from August 12. 20th Century Studios is contemplating what a new 'Alien vs. Predator' could look like Obviously, it's one thing to include a fun Easter egg to the wider universe, but it's another to explore those connections in a crossover movie. (Representatives from 20th Century Studios did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.) However, in October 2024, the 20th Century Studios executive Steve Asbell revealed that the company has discussed an "Alien vs. Predator" project. "It wouldn't be in the way you think. That's the thing. Not in the way that it will just be called 'Alien vs. Predator' or anything like the original movies," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "If we do this, they'll be organically created out of these two franchises that we've continued with characters that we fall in love with, and those characters will combine…perhaps. But we haven't gotten to that point. And we're not just going to bang it out." The 'Alien: Romulus' director Fede Alvarez has a unique idea for a new 'Alien vs. Predator' movie The plot of a potential crossover is unknown, but the "Alien: Romulus" director Fede Alvarez explained how he would approach such a film when speaking to Deadline. "Maybe it's something I have to co-direct with my buddy Dan," he said in August 2024, referring to the "Predator: Badlands" director. "Maybe we should do like Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez did with 'Dusk Till Dawn.' I'll direct a half, and he'll direct another half." The concept of having two directors helm each half of a film sounds like a recipe for disaster. But considering both Alvarez and Trachtenberg appear too have a good handle on depicting their respective monsters, it could make for an interesting experiment. For now, fans will have to wait and see whether there are any more crossovers between the two when "Alien: Earth" starts streaming on August 12 and "Predator: Badlands" releases on November 7.

The show has celebrity panels who help and advise, but Building the Band turns an almost radical amount of power over to its contestants, and you'll ultimately find yourself deeply invested in the bands that they form. You can watch Building the Band on Netflix. Mom (2013-2021) It never had the ratings of The Big Bang Theory, but Mom was arguably the superior CBS sitcom. What was most surprising about Mom was the way the series managed to meld its most serious ideas with genuine comedy. The series follows a struggling single mother who is also a recovering alcoholic as her mom, another recovering alcoholic, waltzes back into her life. Mom took addiction seriously, and Anna Faris and Allison Janney were both up to the task of playing complex characters. Without fail, Mom was also deeply funny, and that's why it works. You can watch Mom on Netflix. House of Lies (2012-2016) Although it was never the most popular prestige comedy of its era, House of Lies was nonetheless a dark and funny series with an all-star cast. The show follows a group of consultants who are deeply clever and convince corporations of all kinds to pay for services from them that they almost definitely don't need. Led by Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell, this ensemble comedy was a little bit of a precursor to shows like Succession, although the characters on this show aren't quite that wealthy. See Meryl Streep back on set as Miranda Priestly for 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'
Meryl Streep is back as Miranda Priestly. The Oscar-winning actress was photographed Wednesday on the set of the upcoming film "The Devil Wears Prada 2" in New York City. Streep was spotted dressed as Miranda, the character she played in the original "The Devil Wears Prada" movie, wearing sunglasses, a brown leather skirt and long coat, high heels and her signature short, silver hairstyle. In addition to Streep, original "The Devil Wears Prada" stars Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci are returning for the sequel, 20th Century Studios confirmed to ABC News in June. Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh will also star in the film as Miranda's new husband, according to 20th Century Studios. "The Devil Wears Prada 2" is reportedly scheduled to be released next year. 20th Century Studios announced on June 30 that "The Devil Wears Prada 2" is in production by sharing a teaser video on Instagram showing a red pair of high heels. Audio for the video featured iconic lines from the first film, including Miranda's voice saying, "By all means, move at a glacial pace, you know how that thrills me." The video ended with Miranda saying, "Don't be ridiculous Andrea, everybody wants this," before adding, "That's all." The original "The Devil Wears Prada" film was adapted from the novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger. The film follows Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, on her journey to fit in with the rest of the fashion industry after she is hired as co-assistant to Streep's character Miranda, the editor-in-chief of the fictional fashion magazine Runway. Plot details for the sequel have not been released.
