Karrueche Tran tearfully sits bedside with Deion Sanders amid his bladder cancer surgery

Yahoo3 days ago
Amid his bladder cancer, Deion Sanders had Karrueche Tran by his side.
The actress and model was seen in an emotional 18-minute documentary shot by Deion Sanders Jr.'s media company, released following Sanders' diagnosis announcement Monday, July 28. In the video, Tran sits bedside next to Sanders as he prepares for surgery to remove his bladder, which Coach Prime revealed in a Monday press conference after a cancerous tumor was found on his bladder.
Tran, 37, tearfully explains in the video, shot in May, that doctors will create a new bladder for Sanders, 57, with part of one of his intestines, and that his bladder will be entirely removed to "ensure the cancer doesn't come back." His doctor, Janet Kukreja, said the NFL Hall of Famer is now "cured."
Neither Sanders nor Tran has officially confirmed a relationship. USA TODAY has reached out for comment.

Sanders was diagnosed on April 14, according to the video, and the Colorado football coach said he lost about 25 pounds during his bout with cancer, noting he "can't pee like I used to pee." He is soon to start his third season as coach at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Deion Sanders has been married twice, to Carolyn Chambers and Pilar Biggers-Sanders.

Get a free copy of Big Shield this weekend

As you may know (and quite possibly may not care), I've redirected a portion of my hunt-and-pecking capacity to writing books in recent years. The fifth one is coming on August 19. And so to justify mentioning that you can pre-order Big Shield right here for as low as 99 cents, I'll give a copy away this weekend. The second book out of the first box was up for grabs two weeks ago. This will be the third book from the first box. Signed, sealed, and delivered to the winner. To enter, send an email to florio@ with this subject line: '8/2/25 Big Shield giveaway.' Throw in your preferred inscription and address. Later today, I'll finish the last, final, umpteenth reading of the 385-page manuscript in search of any/all typos or mistakes. (Over/under on typos/errors I'll miss is 4.5.) Big Shield explores the potential intersection of gambling, the mob, and professional football. (Not the NFL.) The concept is already generating interest for potential adaptation into a film or a series. (That will inevitably change once they read it.) But don't wait for the film and series that undoubtedly will never be made. Click the link and make the order for the 99-cent ebook. Or, if you prefer old-school book reading, the $14.99 print edition. If you're on the fence, here's one of the 81 chapters.

WWE SummerSlam 2025 Match Card, Start Time And Odds For Night One

WWE SummerSlam 2025 is a two-night extravanganza for the first time in the show's storied history, and it's kicking off with a bang on Saturday. Night One's headlining attraction pits the challenger CM Punk against the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in the first-ever televised singles match between two of Raw's biggest stars. The event will emanate from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and is expected to have an attendance of nearly 50,000 fans. In addition to Punk vs. Gunther, Roman Reigns will wrestle for just the fourth time in 2025 while country singer Jelly Roll will compete in a celebrity tag team match alongside Randy Orton. WWE SummerSlam 2025 Start Time and Streaming Info for Saturday WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night One takes place on Saturday, Aug. 2 and will air exclusively on Peacock in the United States. The event will be available on Netflix internationally. According to WWE, SummerSlam 'will screen live in select Regal Cinemas across the U.S. on Saturday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 3' as part of a partnership with Fandango. In addition, WWE will host a three-hour pre-show on Peacock before Saturday's event. WWE SummerSlam 2025 Match Card For Night One (Saturday) WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night One (Saturday) features six matches, including three title bouts: WWE SummerSlam 2025 Betting Odds for Night One (Saturday) WWE has established some clear favorites for Night One of SummerSlam, but there are a number of matches with not-so-obvious outcomes. Below are the SummerSlam Saturday betting odds from BetUS: The X-factor here is Seth Rollins, who may or may not be legitimately injured and poised for a return at SummerSlam to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on either Punk or Gunther. Although Gunther only recently won back the World Heavyweight Championship and probably shouldn't be losing again, Punk has taken plenty of big losses and badly needs a marquee win, too. It's possible that Rollins pulls a Naomi and cashes in to make this match a triple threat, but the most likely option is that Punk narrowly defeats Gunther, perhaps with a creative pin, and Rollins cashes in on him immediately afterward. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso are arguably WWE's two most beloved babyfaces right now. In other words, they probably aren't losing at SummerSlam. The most logical reason why this is a tag team match instead of two separate singles matches is so that Reed, the least pushed star here, can take the pin in MetLife Stadium, probably after a spear from 'The OTC1.' Tiffany Stratton hasn't clicked quite as well as champion as one would have imagined, but the same is true of Jade Cargill in terms of her in-ring performances. On one hand, Stratton isn't as over as a fan favorite as she should be. On the other hand, neither is Cargill, and as a far as actual wrestling ability, she isn't at the level of most of WWE's top singles stars in the women's division. Cargill is, however, getting a massive push after winning Queen of the Ring, signifying that she's likely the one who will end Stratton's underwhelming reign as WWE Women's Champion. An apparent late replacement for rapper Travis Scott, country music artist Jelly Roll is clearly working very hard to ensure his pairing with Randy Orton and feud with Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul goes as well as possible. Orton is so beloved right now and performing at such a high-level that the most likely scenario is for 'The Viper' to end this match with an RKO on Paul. A win for Orton and Jelly Roll will get WWE a lot of media attention, which is precisely why this match is happening to begin with. Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were reportedly set to quickly split in time for a singles match against one another at SummerSlam until Flair herself requested that they stick together. That's actually worked out really well so far as the unlikely duo has gelled quite nicely and Flair is arguably more over as a babyface than she's ever been. With Flair and Bliss having such great chemistry so quickly, WWE needs to strike while the iron is hot and crown them as champions in New Jersey. WWE surprisingly booked this match for SummerSlam, giving into fan demand to see Kross more prominently featured on Raw. Thus far, the two stars are tied at one win each, and in a rubber match like this, the babyface tends to win, especially when he's beloved as someone like Sami Zayn, who appears to be in line for a potential world title push in the later stages of the year. With Kross's contract status also uncertain, a win for Zayn feels like the safest bet among Saturday's matches at WWE SummerSlam.
