IT was the role on Corrie that propelled her to fame as a child before she left many years later to concentrate on motherhood — and now Helen Flanagan is convinced the time is right for her to return as sassy Rosie Webster.
The actress has remained loyal to the show over the years, refusing to even consider going to a rival soap, and reckons ITV bosses 'need' her.

Helen revealed: 'I can't say too much, but it could be possible that I could go back.
'I get on with everyone there. There's nothing personal going on.
'It changed my life so much and my loyalty is with them. I feel like Rosie's a part of me.
'They do need me. They do need Rosie.'
Helen made her debut on the ITV soap as a nine-year-old in 2000.
She first left the cobbles in 2012, returning in 2017, before exiting the following year to have her second child.
While soap chiefs have officialy no plans to invite her back, she has since become a reality TV favourite, having wowed viewer in a white bikini on I'm A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here! in 2012, returning to the jungle for the All Stars edition a decade later, and looking for love on Celebs Go Dating last year.
'I think I would always do lingerie modelling'
Her appearance on the E4 matchmaking series briefly landed her in hot water when it emerged she broke the rules by secretly being in a relationship from the start.
She was allowed to carry on by bringing her construction boss lover Robbie Talbot on to the show with her — and the pair are still together.
But Helen admits they struggle to co-parent her children Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, from her former relationship with Bristol Rovers footballer Scott Sinclair.

She says: 'Scott is from Bath and I live in North Manchester, so we co-parent five hours away. It is really hard work.
'My kids are really close to his mum and their side of the family and mine, so we've always done it separately.
'But I think it would be better if we could do it together. I'd like to live in the same city so we can actually just do it together.
'But I don't think co-parenting is easy. It's definitely a journey.'
In the meantime, Helen has a job lined up over Christmas to distract her from not having her kids around for the festive period.
She is also keen to appear on Celebrity Big Brother following this year's successful reboot because she reckons she would fit in as a housemate, describing herself as a 'people person, very social, very northern'.

But she knows that another reality show could stifle her ambitions to revive her career as an actress.
Helen says: 'If you want to focus on your acting, I do think sometimes it can be hard going down the reality TV route to be taken seriously.'
Another string to her bow is modelling.
Helen, 34, posed topless in the Sun in 2013 then had a boob job in 2023 — and after being trolled in the past for stripping off, she is now inspired by older women who still dare to bare.
She reveals: 'I love lingerie modelling. I think I'd always do it.
'I love women like Elizabeth Hurley and Amanda Holden.
'I love seeing really strong, powerful, beautiful, sexy women that aren't in their 20s and just really owning it.
'I would definitely be like that into my sixties. Well, I hope so, anyway. That will always be my vibe.'
And she encourages other women to strip off for the camera, no matter their age, if it will make them feel empowered.
Helen explains: 'I would never say anything negative about another person I'm all for supporting women, lifting them up, empowering them. I'm very much a girls' girl as well.
'I think it's nice for women to feel empowered and I'm all for women feeling beautiful and feeling sexy. Why not?
'I don't do it for men. I do it for me, so I feel nice.'

Nevertheless, she draws the line at joining OnlyFans and posting explicit photos and videos like some other famous women.
She says: 'I'm a grown woman, but I've got Catholic parents as well.
'I think now with OnlyFans, there are other things attached to it than just lingerie modelling. It's not something for me.'
She isn't even tempted to take pics of her tootsies and sell them like Lily Allen does, joking: 'I've got fat feet and fat hands.'
Helen is often accused of getting loads of cosmetic work on her face but insists that aside from Botox, she has had very little else done.
She reveals: 'I've only had the teeniest little bit of filler on my top lip. But my lips are actually naturally quite full.
'Even if I did have loads of filler in my lips, who cares?
'I would never, ever troll anyone.'

New Netflix smash hit closes in on 100 million views to dominate global chart
Steve Charnock Published June 26, 2025 2:28pm Updated June 27, 2025 1:55pm Link is copied Comments There aren't many movies that very nearly clock up a sensational 100 million views on the streaming platform Netflix. There are even fewer than achieve that impressive feat in just three weeks. This week's global top 10 is dominated by such a film. Also making the list are a trio of fascinating Netflix Original documentaries, two about tragedies and one on a somewhat tragic figure. Plus there are the usual suspects of action movies and horrors. Here's the top 10 countdown... (Picture: Getty) Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe headline this gritty but fun military thriller that's set in the Philippines. Hemsworth plays a rookie armed forces type who's stranded behind enemy lines, while Crowe's character remotely guides him out via drone support. It's tense, loud and leans heavily on the classic lone soldier formula. Reviews have been pretty mixed, but the star power and steady action have clearly struck a chord with plenty of Netflix viewers (Picture: Netflix) This 2007 sequel to 28 Days Later wasn't directed by the original's Danny Boyle. It's darker, bloodier and arguably more brutal than the original, although not quite as good. With Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne and Jeremy Renner caught in a government-led containment nightmare, it's a decent follow-up and one well worth watching if you've designs on catching the third film, 28 Years Later, in theaters soon. The opening sequence of this remains one of the most talked-about in modern horror (Picture: DNA Films/20th Century Fox) Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter star in this '90s psychological thriller that's aged surprisingly well. Alien star Weaver plays an agoraphobic serial killer expert helping police track down a copycat murderer. There's plenty of procedural business here, so it's no envelope pusher. But the performances and eerie mood hold up well. It's been a quiet Netflix hit that might owe its spike to the true crime crowd. Its highlight? A surprisingly deranged performance by crooner Harry Connick Jr. (Picture: Warner Br/Everett/REX/Shutterstock) This documentary takes on the late Rob Ford, the scandal-prone former mayor of Toronto, whose chaotic term included drug allegations, viral gaffes and a death-defying approval rating. Interviews and archival footage piece together a rise and fall that's both jaw-dropping and, at times, weirdly sympathetic. This isn't your typical political documentary. But then Rob Ford wasn't your typical politician (Picture: Toronto Star via Getty Images) Gerard Butler does what Gerard Butler does best here: survive in harsh circumstances and generally run about being an everyman hero. Here he's a commercial pilot who crash-lands in hostile territory and teams up with a fugitive (Mike Colter) to save passengers from a group of rather unpleasant insurgents. The title is wonderfully blunt, but the movie is tightly paced and exactly the kind of throwback action ride Netflix users seem to crave (Picture: Netflix) Covering the immediately-infamous 2023 Titan submersible implosion, this documentary film blends timeline reconstructions with expert interviews and just enough context to explore the hype, the tech and - ultimately - the tragedy. It's not overly sensationalized, but it doesn't pull its punches either. In fact, it makes for quite chilling watch, especially for those who followed the news in real time and remember the shocking story unfolding (Picture: Netflix) Bastien is an ex-MMA fighter who's haunted by having killed an opponent in the ring. Wracked with guilt and seeking a large serving of redemption, he agrees to assist the victim's grieving widow to locate her missing son. In doing so, Bastien has to go on a dicey journey that takes him into a murderous criminal underworld. Luckily for him - and us viewers - he's very, very good at beating people up. This fun French actioner's been doing very well for itself since release and was the third most-watch movie on Netflix last week (Picture: Laurent le Crabe/Netflix) This is the second Trainwreck documentary in the top 10, with the format clearly proving popular with Netflix subscribers. This one examines the fatal 2021 Travis Scott concert disaster in Houston. It looks at crowd dynamics, corporate accountability and fan testimonies, piecing together a disturbing picture of how things spiralled out of control, ending in death. It's, obviously, not a fun watch. But it is a vital one (Picture: Netflix) Animated chaos meets pop culture and fantasy in this stylish action in which a K-pop girl group moonlights as a gang of roving demon slayers. It's bold, neon-colored and fast-paced, perfect for fans of both anime and South Korean pop idols. The voice cast features a whole host of Korean and American talent. While it might perplex more casual viewers not interested in K-pop, Asian culture or fantasy - if you're into it? It's a riot (Picture: Netflix) With nearly double the views of its runner-up, STRAW is the breakout hit of 2025 that no one saw coming. Tyler Perry's latest psychological crime drama follows single mother Janiyah (Taraji P. Henson) whose life unravels in a single harrowing day. Pushed to extremes, she's driven by grief and sheer survival. A shocking twist really bolsters the film and provides a real emotional spine. Critics praise Henson's gut‑wrenching performance and emotional depth. It's a tense, emotional watch that sparked widespread acclaim and discussion. And now almost 100 million people have seen it overall (Picture: Netflix)

ITV announces huge change to how fans can watch Emmerdale and Coronation Street
From the beginning of next week, soap fans will be able to watch Emmerdale and Coronation Street via a whole new service - leaving many fans rejoicing at the news Soap fans were both excited and confused when ITV announced a major change to their weekly output. For decades, fans have tuned in to watch new episodes of Emmerdale and Coronation Street on the channel when they air on week day evenings. But as of Monday 30 June, fans will be able to watch new episodes from the beginning of the day as they will be available to view online hours before they transmit via traditional transmission avenues. Taking to social media on Sunday, social media channels connected to the soaps shared exciting news with fan. The update revealed that new episodes will be available to watch via YouTube for the first time. The official Coronation Street Instagram page announced: "Soap fans, rejoice! "Starting tomorrow, full episodes will be available on YouTube from 7am — the same day they air on TV!" The update included an image showing Emmerdale and Corrie characters posing beneath logos of their respective soaps. The update thus caused some confusion - as some fans thought that the cast of the soaps were being merged. One follower remarked: "I literally thought Debbie was joining Emmerdale for a moment there!" And others were excited to learn that they would be able to watch their favourite soaps via a new format - as many complained the ITV app is nigh on unusable. One hopeful soap fan commented: "Nice I hate itvx with their [user interface] and 27 ads a ep." And another commented: "This is awesome news! Yayyy!" In recent months, ITV has announced a number of changes regarding the way Corrie and Emmerdale will be broadcast. In February it was revealed the schedule would be changed from the beginning of next year. A statement from the broadcaster explained: "From January 2026, Coronation Street and Emmerdale will move to a new scheduling pattern on ITV1, introducing a soaps power hour from Monday-Friday, with 30 minute Emmerdale episodes at 8pm, and 30 minute Coronation Street episodes at 8.30pm. Episodes will continue to drop at 7am on ITVX, before transmission that evening." ITV's Managing Director of Media and Entertainment Kevin Lygo said at the time:'The new commissioning pattern is viewer-led. We already give more choice than ever to viewers on how they watch us through ITVX and we want to present their favourite soap to them, in the most digestible way. 'In a world where there is so much competition for viewers' time and attention, and viewing habits continue to change, we believe this is the right amount of episodes that fans can fit into their viewing schedule, to keep up to date with the shows. 'Research insights also show us that soap viewers are increasingly looking to the soaps for their pacey storytelling. Streaming-friendly, 30 minute episodes better provide the opportunity to meet viewer expectations for storyline pace, pay-off and resolution. 'Whilst viewing is growing on ITVX, we know a significant proportion of our soaps' audience still watch us via the schedule. This new pattern is in the DNA of the soap genre - nobody else does 30 minute drama this successfully. It creates a soap power hour that's consistent, and easy to find in the linear schedule, for the UK's biggest soaps. 'This new commissioning pattern will mean five hours of soaps a week, rather than the current six. We are conscious this will have an impact for the people who work on the soaps team. We will support our colleagues in ITV Studios as they work through these changes, and will do what we can to mitigate the impact on our people. 'These changes are motivated by doing what we believe is best for the continuing success of these important programmes in the long term. They also create headroom in the overall programme budget for investment in programming that can help ITV grow reach in a very very competitive market.'

In the video Lilian can be seen holding her belly while the gospel choir song 'Total Praise' plays in the background. It also included one clip of herself in a bathroom mirror showing off her baby bump. Accompanying the video were various photos taken by a professional photographer. Becker married his 35-year-old partner last September in Portofino, Italy and the pair now reside permanently in Milan. The former tennis ace and the risk analyst have been dating since 2019. They're now set to welcome their first child together. Becker waxed lyrical about his wife in a recent interview with Stern Magazine where he said: "This is perhaps the first partnership on equal terms for me. "No one is more important than the other, I need Lilian, and I hope she needs me too. "We met at a time when I was feeling very bad. "Professionally, personally, physically, I was feeling worse than ever before in my life but despite this, Lilian was interested in me. "That's remarkable, because she could only be interested in me as a person because I had nothing else to offer - I had never met a woman like that before." The announcement comes three years after his release from prison after being jailed in 2022 at Southwark Crown Court, serving eight months. The tennis icon had failed to disclose assets and loads to his creditors after declaring bankruptcy. Becker already has four children by three different women. He married Barbara Feltus in 1993 and the couple had a son, Noah, born in 1994 and a daughter, Elias, born in 1999. The pair separated in December 2000. The following year Becker confirmed he was the father of Anna, the daughter of Angela Ermakova, a Russian model, following a High Court battle. Fast forward seven years and Becker announced he was engaged to Dutch model Sharley "Lily" Kerssenberg and they married in 2009. The couple had a son, Amadeus in 2010 and then split in May 2018. 6 Becker married his first wife, Barbara Feltus in 1993 and the pair had a son, Noah, and daughter, Elias Credit: Getty 6 He then married Sharley "Lily" Kerssenberg in 2009 Credit: Getty
