Former Champions League club to be kicked out of World Cup 2030 venue and forced into athletics stadium with one stand
The Spanish outfit will have to leave their home of 84 years at Rosaleda in 2026 to spend at least the next two seasons at Estadio Ciudad de Malaga.

That is because the team's stadium will undergo a redevelopment project worth £222million ahead of the 2030 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Spain, Morocco and Portugal.
The Rosaleda can hold up to 30,000 fans but Malaga's new temporary accommodation can only host a maximum of 12,500.
In fact, the venue currently has a seating capacity of 7,500 but reports suggest another 5,000 seats will be added.
The club were initially hoping for an expansion that would have allowed 27,000 seats.
However, the city didn't approve that redevelopment as there is a busy road leading to the port that runs just next to the stadium.
That led to a furious reaction from Malaga fans with associations issuing a joint statement against the decision.
The supporters accused the city as well as the Andalusian and Spanish government of "empty promises, projects without a timetable and propaganda slogans"
The fans were mainly up in arms regarding the lack of progress in the project to redevelop Rosaleda as there is no set timetable regarding the works' completion.

A statement read: "Behind this paralysis there seem to be political and economic interests that, instead of protecting the club's heritage and future, seek to make it cease to exist.
"We demand that you GUARANTEE us a minimum of 23,000 seats at any time of redevelopment."

Malaga are one of Spain's most esteemed clubs where a number of notable players have competed in the past, such as Isco, Santi Cazorla and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The club has also left its mark in Europe having made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League back in 2013, that was 10 years after making it this far in the Europa League.

How Watford might look under Paulo Pezzolano
I was at the Watford training ground last week and was fortunate to get some time with one of the coaching staff, Camilo Speranza. Head coach Paulo Pezzolano is still learning English so to get a flavour of what Hornets fans can expect from him this season I spoke to Speranza about philosophy, tactics, shape and worked with Pezzolano at his previous club Real Valladolid in Spain and is now one of the key analysis coaches at Watford. Before Valladolid, Speranza was at Barcelona. He knows his stuff.I admit to being a coaching/tactics geek so was absolutely fascinated by this spoke of wanting to dominate the ball, play aggressively, at speed, but keeping things favours a 4-3-3 system but Speranza says that can change game to game and spoke about breaking the enigma code - unlocking the tactical gameplan of the opposition. Most Championship teams play a high press and then fall into a low double will try to counter that and work out a way to find space for their three attackers. That might be playing out from the back or playing longer. There is no set way. Finding space in this area then being dynamic. Quick pace, aggressive, vertical. He also spoke about improving individual players technically. Finessing minute details. Body shape, receiving in possession, weight of pass - things that you would expect Championship professionals to know but which can still be refined. Despite having a whole pre-season, there is never enough time - it is still difficult to get all their coaching points across. Training is about making shape, combination play and moves understandable so the players know why they are doing things. On the training ground the mantra is play simple, don't is big on culture and mindset. He will work closely with the academy and knows it isn't just about the starting 11 or the squad of always it comes down to winning football matches, and Watford head coaches know that better than most.

Ugarte goes public with British influencer & Mbappe's ex after months of rumours
MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Manuel Ugarte has revealed his relationship with British influencer Georgia May Heath. Ugarte, 24, confirmed months of public speculation when he posted a snap of the holidaying duo to his social media. 6 6 6 He tagged May Heath alongside a heart emoji in the caption of an image of the pair enjoying their time on a yacht while holidaying in Spain. May Heath is a fashion and beauty influencer, boasting almost 230,000 Instagram followers and over 50,000 followers on TikTok. The 27-year-old was previously involved with French superstar Kylian Mbappe. The pair were seen having dinner together in Greece in 2021, and she was reported to be holidaying with the now-Real Madrid man as recently as January 2024. But rumours began swirling in April that the influencer - who splits her time between the UK and Australia - had moved on to the Frenchman's ex-PSG team-mate Ugarte. Eagle-eyed fans had previously noticed that the background to some of May Heath's photos resembled those seen in Ugarte's snaps from home. Those Instagram sleuths seem to have been proven right with Ugarte's announcement. There appears to be no bad blood between Ugarte and his ex-team-mate, with Mbappe's account liking the couple's post on Instagram. 6 6 Manchester United fans will hope the relationship will help the Uruguayan move on from a lacklustre season. Ugarte arrived from PSG last summer for a fee of around £43m. His arrival did not provide the impact that fans had hoped for, however, with Ruben Amorim's men slumping to a 15th place finish in the Premier League. Manchester United might be poised to raid PSG once again for a midfield partner for Ugarte in Spanish all-rounder Fabian Ruiz. 6
