'India Have Good Chance Of Winning 4th Test If...': Ex-England Star's Big Claim
In the nine Test matches that India have played at Old Trafford, England have won on four occasions, with five matches ending in a draw. Their last trip to the venue came under Mahendra Singh Dhoni in 2014, when they were playing at the venue for the first time in 24 years and ended in a defeat by an innings and 54 runs.
'It's going to be a good batting and bowling wicket, with the spinners getting something later on. There will be everything on offer for everyone. If you bowl badly, you'll be punished. While batting there will be pace and bounce, it will be the fastest pitch of the series so far. The bowlers will have to work hard to take wickets, and the batters will not be able to play loose shots and get away with it,' he added.
Panesar, who played 50 Test matches for England in his playing days, is no stranger to Old Trafford and had recorded his best-ever figures at the venue, when he claimed 10-187 against the West Indies in 2017.
The 42-year-old spoke on the mindset he used, which helped him shine on the biggest stages during his career. "While playing for England, the key was the processes. I focused on my preparation and processes, it helped me handle the pressure. It would have been a lot harder had I been focusing on the outcome.
"It was tough, we had to be resilient and mentally strong. That is what is most important and everything else falls into place. Take the importance out of the equation; the bigger the occasion, less important it is in the mindset so you can perform at your best. I tend to perform better when stakes are higher; I used to enjoy bowling against the best batters in the world,' Panesar concluded.

India vs England 4th Test Playing 11: Sai Sudharsan returns, Test debut on cards for Anshul Kamboj
India 4th Test Match Predicted Playing 11 vs England , Full Squad: This is it for India, with regards to the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. They trail 2-1 in the five-match series and a defeat in the fourth Test at Old Trafford would confirm a defeat for India in the rubber. At the same time, persistent rains in Manchester has put a cloud of doubt over whether there will be a result in this match or not. The conditions could also have an impact on team selections. Overcast conditions would be useful for the pacers. However, the Old Trafford pitch generally tends to remain dry with former England players like Mike Atherton saying that the wrist-spin of Kuldeep Yadav could come handy. The humid conditions could prompt Gautam Gambhir and Shubman Gill to weigh bringing back Shardul Thakur as a pace-bowling all-rounder replacement for Nitish Kumar Reddy. Gill confirmed that Rishabh Pant is fit enough to keep wickets, which means that Dhruv Jurel will probably not get a chance to show his skills with the bat in England after having impressed with the gloves in the third Test. Karun Nair has come in for a lot of criticism, with many expecting him to lose his place to Sai Sudharsan. In the first Test, he got out on 0 and 20, batting at No 6. In the two Tests since, he made scores of 31, 26, 40 and 14, all at No 3 after India left out Sai Sudharsan. Gill didn't really indicate any intention to take the step, even defending Nair's performances and citing that the 33-year-old had to bat out of his usual position early on. It means that he can also be expected to be in the squad. However, it would still be a surprise if Sudharsan doesn't return to the squad and that would mean a drop for Nair. Jasprit Bumrah will be playing in this Test, as will the tireless Mohammed Siraj. Akash Deep is ruled out and there is a chance of India giving a debut cap to pacer Anshul Kamboj. Gill hinted that Kamboj – who had been called up to the squad as pace-bowling cover – could well be in line. 'He is very close to making his debut. We're going to see it tomorrow between him and Prasidh, who's going to make it,' Gill said. India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (c), Rishabh Pant (vc & wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Anshul Kamboj. England (announced XI): Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope (vc), Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (c), Jamie Smith (wk), Liam Dawson, Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Shubman Gill(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Dhruv Jurel, Sai Sudharsan, Arshdeep Singh, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav England: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes(c), Jamie Smith(w), Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, Shoaib Bashir, Jamie Overton, Josh Tongue, Sam James Cook, Gus Atkinson, Jacob Bethell

Manchester weather: Will rain impact the start of the 4th ENG vs IND Test?
The Old Trafford in Manchester is all set to host the crucial fourth Test match of the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy between India and England today. The match is a must-win for the Shubman Gill-led Indian side if they want to stay alive in the series, as they are trailing 1-2 after the third Test. On the other hand, for England, a win will seal the series, while a draw will ensure they are at least not on the losing side when the series ends. While both teams will have their game plan ready to secure the match, they will have to be careful about rain, which is expected to heavily influence the match. It has been raining very heavily in Manchester for the last couple of days, and it is expected to continue similarly on the first day of the match. But what exactly does the weather report of Manchester for Wednesday, July 23, suggest? Let's take a look. Hourly weather report of Manchester on Wednesday, July 23 According to Manchester's weather report for Wednesday by AccuWeather, it will be a cloudy start to the day as, from 9 am to 1 pm, the weather is expected to be clear of rain despite heavy clouds in the sky. The trouble begins from 2 pm, as the precipitation chances increase from 6 per cent at 1 pm to 54 per cent. It is expected to come down in the next hour but not by much, with a 49 per cent chance at 3 pm and 36 per cent at 4 pm. Precipitation chances drop down significantly at 5 pm, standing at just 17 per cent, and remain constant till 7 pm IST. The current reports do not suggest a full washout, but definitely hint towards a start-stop kind of play on Day 1. What are the weather reports for the next four days of the Test? The second day of the Test, on July 24, is also expected to be a rain-hit one, with an 84 per cent chance of precipitation. But things are expected to be clear on Days 3 and 4—July 25 and 26—with just 7 and 10 per cent chances of precipitation, respectively. The final day of the Test on Sunday will once again be a rain-hit one, with a 40 per cent overall chance of precipitation. In conclusion, players will have to go a little hard in their approach if they wish to get a result out of the match; otherwise, it will be the sixth draw between the two sides at this venue in 10 encounters.
