Andy Bell has confirmed my tale that he will be performing with Oasis on their huge sold-out tour this summer

During an interview with Austrian newspaper Oe24, Andy was asked about Oasis and said: 'I'm in and I'm really looking forward to it.
'We'll see each other on tour. Or rather, you'll see me – I'll hardly be able to see you in the audience.'
Andy joined Oasis in 2000 to replace bassist Paul McGuigan, who quit during the recording of the band's fourth album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants.
Joining Andy on the line-up with Noel and Liam, as I revealed earlier this year, are Gem Archer, Bonehead and drummer Joey Waronker.

Oasis' co-manager Alec McKinlay yesterday told Music Week the reunion tour would be the only time fans would see the brothers performing together again.
He said: 'This is the last time around, as Noel has made clear in the press. It is a chance for fans who haven't seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to.
'But no, there's no plan for any new music.'

Oasis' Noel and Liam Gallagher won't get paid for tour until they perform over fears they'll fall out and cancel concerts
The rapper, sitting next to her boyfriend, NFL footballer Stefon Diggs, is thought to finally be on the cusp of releasing her second album – the long-awaited follow-up to 2018 breakthrough record Invasion of Privacy. Hopefully it's worth the wait.

Fans of Queens of the Stone Age will be thrilled with news of a new concert film on the way

Queens of the Stone Age have announced a concert film called Alive in the Catacombs.

It's the first time a live gig has been staged in the underground burial chambers below Paris, which was a dream of frontman Josh Homme.
He said of the film, out June 5: 'If you're ever going to be haunted, surrounded by several million dead people is the place.
"I've never felt so welcome in my life. We're so stripped down because that place is so stripped down, which makes the music so stripped down, which makes the words so stripped down.
'It would be ridiculous to try to rock there. All those decisions were made by that space.

'That space dictates everything, it's in charge. You do what you're told when you're in there.'
Celine no to Euro return
Celine Dion has confirmed she won't perform during Eurovision, despite being in talks for months.
The Canadian was asked about singing during the interval on Saturday night – 37 years after she won the contest for this year's hosting nation Switzerland, with her song Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi.

In last night's first semi-final on BBC One, a video message was shown where Celine said: 'I would love nothing more than to be with you in Basel right now.
"Switzerland will forever hold a special place in my heart as the country that believed in me and that gave me the chance to be part of something so extraordinary.'
She has been battling Stiff Person Syndrome for years, making it difficult to perform.
It has not yet been revealed who will take the My Heart Will Go On singer's place in the final.

The K's have today released single The Bends (Here We Go Again) from their upcoming second album Pretty on the Internet.
The indie four-piece, whose new record comes out on June 27, are in the middle of a headline tour and last night played a huge show at the Roundhouse in London.
Sam and Pete book buddies
While his ex Zara is totally loved up with Louis, Sam Thompson is keeping himself busy with a change of career.
The I'm a Celebrity winner has got himself a bumper book deal alongside his Towie pal Pete Wicks.

Insiders tell me the duo are working on the book, albeit with help from a ghostwriter, and should be announcing the project in the coming days.
A source said: 'After months of discussions, Sam and Pete have landed a book deal. Their podcast is already doing so well, so they wanted a new challenge and this is it.
'It's been the perfect distraction for Sam after his relationship with Zara ended but it's not a tell-all. He won't be airing their dirty laundry.

'While the book is theirs and they are helping with ideas, I'm not sure either will be putting pen to paper. A ghostwriter has already started work on the project.'
Lizzo is Real Busy
After bouncing back with new single Still Bad, Lizzo is preparing to drop her next record Love in Real Life.
She's hitting the promo trail hard, kicking off with a performance at Amazon's Upfront event in New York.

The US singer wore a red corset and mini-skirt as she joined celebs including Elizabeth Banks and Travis Kelce at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan.
She performed About Damn Time on stage with Jason Momoa, to hype up his new Amazon film The Wrecking Crew, before changing into a chic black dress and heading across the city to an interview with TV talk show host Andy Cohen.
Lizzo also sat down with radio presenter Charlamagne Tha God and hit back at people who criticised her weight loss.
She said: 'Put me next to any pop star right now, I'm still bigger than them. I didn't realise how much my body changed until I was filming the Love in Real Life music video.

'I was in shock. It shocked me, because the way that I'm releasing weight has been a long, slow process.'
Joey Essex may claim he's not the smartest – but at least his home is.
The reality TV regular has teamed up with Amazon to front its latest campaign, which attempts to prove setting up a 'smart home' is a lot easier than people might think.
In the new ad, faux dipstick Joey gives fans a tour of his huge Essex home, which is fitted with a load of fancy mod cons such as Alexa-controlled blinds and Blink security cameras.

Joey said: 'I know some people might think you've got to be a genius to manage a smart home, but if I can do it, then anyone can. I love that Alexa sets the mood in my bedroom, while Blink gives me peace of mind there's nothing lurking in the garden.'
We'll take you at your word, Joey.
Uni Usher's wise words
Fresh from feeding cherries to swooning fans during his residency at London's O2 Arena, Usher picked up an honorary degree from Emory University in Atlanta.
The Yeah! singer wore a cap and gown as he received the honour, and gave a speech to students about to start their degrees.

He said: 'Don't be afraid to wander into a space you don't understand, as long as you bring compassion with you. Be willing to stretch. Be a little unrealistic.

'Be a little delusional even, in the pursuit of happiness and fulfilment.'
And as a note of advice from myself, don't spend your entire degree getting drunk, because it really will bite you on the arse in your final year.
With their wedding just months away, Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel are getting into the spirit of things.
I'm told the pair invited their nearest and dearest to LA for a posh engagement bash to celebrate their nuptials.

A source said: 'Matty and Gab threw a fancy party and he flew his family over from the UK.
'They hired a rooftop bar in LA and his parents Tim Healy and Denise Welch were there, along with one of his aunts and Gab's family.
'Matty and Gab are so excited about tying the knot and this was a really special celebration with the people they love the most.'
Next month, Matty's band The 1975 are headlining Glastonbury on the Friday night and it's going to be a family affair there too.

BBC Live Aid at 40 fans ask to 'go back' as they call out 'boring' Oasis
Viewers of Live Aid at 40 issued the same complaint as they compared Oasis to the likes of Queen and Freddie Mercury. The two-venue benefit concert, organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, marked its 40th anniversary on Sunday, July 13. The aim was to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine relief during 1983–1985, with two sold-out concerts taking place simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia. A staggering audience of approximately 1.9 billion people across 150 countries tuned in to the live broadcast, which showcased performances from Queen, U2, David Bowie, and Madonna, among others. The event raised over £114m for their charitable cause and is etched in memory as one of the most significant days in music history, reports the Manchester Evening News. The BBC has been commemorating the anniversary this month, broadcasting the first two episodes of the documentary Live Aid at 40: When Rock 'n' Roll Took on the World last week. Increasing their coverage, the broadcaster aired Live Aid at 40: The Concert on Saturday night (July 12) for those who wished to relive or had missed the event. The programme offered extended highlights of the London and Philadelphia shows, along with seldom-seen backstage footage from the night. While 80,000 people attended the second of Oasis' five sold-out gigs in their hometown in Heaton Park, some viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their dissatisfaction with the Gallagher brothers' band compared to those who performed at Live Aid. Amidst a surge of Oasis nostalgia, social media is abuzz as users compare past live performances, with some longing for the pre-smartphone era of concerts. One fan expressed wistfulness for concert experiences without modern disruptions: "Watching live aid and honestly can we just get back to concerts without phones and throwing pints all over the place? Saw a clip of Oasis at Heaton Park and when Wonderwall came on it was just a shower of beer." Another fan sparked debate, asserting Queen's superior stage presence: "Saw a posting on here that Oasis are the best band live. Well those Manchester boys haven't got on Freddie Mercury and Queen - real charisma - now on BBC2 Live them look boring." A third added: "I've seen a lot of posts waxing lyrical about @oasis recently and rightly so.... unreal. But.... the Queen performance at Live Aid is something else.... Freddie Mercury, a generational talent!" Someone else noted: "I'm watching Live Aid from 40 years anyone will give a s**t about an Oasis concert in 40 years?" Echoing the sentiment, one fan hailed Mercury's iconic performance: "Freddie's finest hour. He made the world sit up and take notice. The band were sooo good on that day People lauding Oasis right now, watch this #LiveAid." Despite these comments, Oasis mania shows no signs of waning with more gigs in Manchester ahead, followed by London, Edinburgh, and Dublin appearances. The band will revisit Heaton Park on Wednesday, July 16, before they conclude their Manchester stint with two performances next weekend.
