Met Police Officers were lying in wait as flight VS008 touched down after reports a gang of teens had "endangered" passengers and crew mid-air.
Nine teenagers were arrested after allegedly sparking chaos on board a flight from Los Angeles to Heathrow.

Metropolitan Police Officers were waiting on the tarmac as the Virgin Atlantic VS008 came in to land after reports of passengers being 'endangered' mid-air by a gang of rowdy youths, reports the Mirror.

The group - all aged 17 and 18 - were arrested by officers on Monday on suspicion of refusing to follow crew instructions and putting the safety of the aircraft at risk.

A spokesperson for the Met today said all nine were released with no further action taken.
A Met spokesperson said: 'Nine individuals - aged 17 and 18 - were arrested on Monday, July 14, at Heathrow Airport after disembarking a flight from Los Angeles. All were arrested on suspicion of failing to comply with crew directions and endangering aircraft.
'They were taken into custody and were released without charge. Enquiries continue.'

A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson told MyLondon: 'We'd like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused following the arrival of the VS008 at London Heathrow on July 14, due to disruptive passengers being apprehended by the authorities.
"This is now a matter for the police, and we are unable to comment any further. The safety and welfare of our people and our customers is always our top priority."

Heathrow Airport declined to comment.
The incident comes just weeks after a major security scare at the same airport, when a man was filmed sprinting across the runway as aircraft taxied around him.
The unidentified man was chased by several workers and eventually tackled to the ground by police and detained.
Footage showed him wearing an object strapped to his waist as he weaved between planes, with onlookers gasping: "That is not right."
He was finally intercepted by two men in hi-vis vests who arrived in a van and pinned him down before police swooped. A van was seen racing across the runway before he was bundled inside.

Man travels 500 miles to meet beauty queen and 'future wife' - before discovering sad truth

Michel, 76, from Belgium, believed he was about to meet the 'love of his life,' famous model Sophie Vouzeland. A lovestruck man was left dumbfounded after a 500-mile journey to meet a beauty queen ended in the discovery that he had been catfished. ‌ Michel, a 76 year old from Belgium, believed he was on his way to meet his ' soulmate ', the renowned model Sophie Vouzeland. However, upon arriving at her residence in Saint-Julien, France, he was met by her husband, Fabien, instead. ‌ The smitten senior announced himself as her " future husband", only to be shocked when the man at the door said: "Well, I'm the current one." ‌ Michel had been under the impression that he was communicating with the 2007 Miss France runner-up via WhatsApp. Convinced of their bond, Michel had even transferred a whopping £25,000 as a loan to someone he thought was Sophie, reports the Mirror. ‌ The couple took to social media to share a poignant video of their encounter with Michel, hoping to raise awareness about romance fraud. In the footage, a disheartened Michel admits: "I think she played a dirty trick on me. I am an imbecile." He proceeded to show Fabien the messages they had exchanged. "My wife, no, it's the fake accounts," Fabien clarified. "You have to be very careful." The video was uploaded to Instagram with a caption expressing sympathy for Michel: "I feel so sorry for this man. Watch out for fake accounts. I'm sharing this video to show you it's real and to be vigilant! Take care of yourself." ‌ Sophie, who is expecting a baby with Fabien, expressed that the incident "hurts my heart". The scam has since sparked reactions on social media, with users finding it alarming that their address was known. One individual warned: "Let us all be vigilant! Fake accounts and scams suck." ‌ Another sympathised: "Poor Sophie in the middle of this being pregnant. Fingers crossed this doesn't happen again and ends well. Cheer up to both of you." Grateful for the support, Sophie replied in the comments: "Thank you, it's not easy." A third shared their astonishment: "Oh crazy what a story! Poor gentleman. It's horrible to know that there are still people scamming people. I hope it won't happen again and that you can live your life peacefully." One more person highlighted the risks of online exposure: "The danger of social networks. But I'm surprised how he could get your address. It's absolutely not normal."

Chilling clues over the disappearance of a mum last seen jogging at 4am have emerged - after it was revealed she went to a petrol station before she vanished. ‌ Rachel Booth was last seen on Saturday, with CCTV capturing her at a garage just before 4am. And a petrol station worker has now revealed what she bought while out on her run. ‌ Station worker Issac Carolan, 19, told The Sun what the mum had bought in the early hours of Saturday morning. He said: "I spoke to my colleague who had served her on Saturday morning. She bought milk and wine and jogged from 45 minutes away. ‌ "But it didn't seem weird, she didn't seem disturbed or flustered." Police, on Saturday night, confirmed it was "conducting enquiries" in the local village of Oakmere, near Delamere Forest, and the "surrounding area". The Mirror reports Rachel, 38, was last seen in the Barnton area of Cheshire on Saturday, July 19, and a huge search has been launched to find the mum as police expressed "increasing concern for her welfare". ‌ Rachel was last seen on CCTV at Sandiway Garage, on the A556, at 3.50am. Cheshire Police said it believed the mum could have been travelling to a nearby village and said it conducted an underwater search in the area. Cops also deployed sniffer dogs as part of their investigation around the well-known Cheshire beauty spot. Rachel was described as 5ft 9in tall, of a slim build, with blonde hair, and is believed to be wearing black leggings and a black top. Cheshire Police Superintendent Paul Hughes said his force was becoming "increasingly concerned for her welfare". He added: "As part of our investigation, our officers and partner agencies, including the Underwater Search Team and Cheshire Search and Rescue, are conducting enquiries in the Oakmere and surrounding areas where it is believed Rachel travelled to. ‌ "We would like to thank local businesses for their patience and understanding while these are currently ongoing. Investigators are following all lines of enquiry and anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us. "The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts. We would also like to appeal directly to Rachel to get in touch to let us know you are OK." ‌ A popular local watersports centre in Oakmere, Wild Shore Delamere, said it had closed to try and help cops with the search. On social media, the business announced that "police have requested that we close the site to aid their investigation". Wild Shore Delamere said: "Due to ongoing police investigations in the surrounding area, Wildshore Delamere will remain closed tomorrow, Sunday, July 20th. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
